Shrimp Fried Rice

  • Shrimp fried rice is simple and delicious. The entire dish can be whipped up in about 20 minutes. We always cook the rice the night before as you will get a nicer fry and a better texture to it. Make sure your shrimp and vegetables are as fresh as possible to ensure the best flavor. We use bean sprouts, bell peppers, and peas in the dish. You can use whatever veggies you like, however. Watch the video, give the shrimp fried rice a try, and let us know what you think Get the full recipe: cooknshare.com/recipe/shrimp-...

    After Making Fried Rice with Cauliflower I think I will be replacing all my rice recipe's with it. It is surprisingly really good and very filling. Just as much as regular rice.

    Great recipe Dave, i like snow peas or sugar snap peas instead of plain peas since it is an asian dish, and they are readily available in the freezer section of your grocer. Also, it looks like you used wild caught shrimp, it is worth the extra money. I have yet to find any seafood product like shrimp, any type of fish, etc... that is farm raised, that can compete with the taste of wild caught, although wild is always a little more expensive, it is worth the money.

      TheCooknShare .....well!
      The taste was definitely there but the consistently and texture fell through with the rice.
      But, i know now that you have to cook and refrigerate three night before.
      I'll give it another shot though.

  • @kenfletcher1240
    @kenfletcher1240 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sesame oil is never used for cooking! It's a condiment. And you don't need eggs in a shrimp fried rice. Soy sauce in fried rice is a weird American idea!

    • @TheCooknShare
      @TheCooknShare  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have used it lots. Dark is not good for deep frying.

  • @ozman1966

    seem like all these shrimp fried rice videos leave the tails on the shrimp, why? any reason to leave the tail on the shrimp??? I pull these off, they will get caught in throat and chokes me up, I got shrimp alfredo at an Italian restaurant and they also left the tails on the shrimp, I had to take off the tails on every shrimp, tails are hard, crunchy and not edible at all and will scratch the heck out of your throat. Why leave on the shrimp tails???? Yea, boiled shrimp or shrimp cocktail leave on the shrimp to hold them by, but.......in meals, you don't want to have to pull the tail off every shrimp, especially if they are covered with wet sauces.
