You’re so right! MSG isn’t the demon we make it out to be at all. I love it and use it in everything! And the chicken bouillon too. I boil my pasta in chicken bouillon - y’all should try it, it’s next level good for your favorite pasta dish! Some people may get a little tummy ache or headache from MSG just like anyone can have a negative reaction to onions or anything else! Don’t be afraid of it.
This looks like a great, simple, effective recipe. Since I moved from the Midwest, I've noticed that it seems the Americanized Chinese food restaurants here in the DMV present with yellowish, bland fried rice, and I can't get with it. Better to make my own! Thank you!
In my fried rice recipe I love to add in broccoli, water chestnuts, onions, little corn on cob, peas and carrots. I serve with sesame chicken that I make.😋 Your recipe looks delicious 😋

Love that you use same day made rice & frozen shrimp ... I do it all the time... if I cook the rice early in the day, I spread it out on a sheet pan or casserole dish and leave it in the fridge uncovered for at least 2hrs ... but, sometimes u have a last minute craving so u just do what u gotta do ... my mom makes fried rice when she needs to get rid of stuff too ... its so good ... eggs, every veggie we got & she will even shred pieces of deli ham in it. When I make shrimp fried rice, I usually drizzle just a bit of sesame oil at the end after turning off the heat because even though it is strong, it tends to lose its flavor if you cook it too long ... I love to add butter & garlic to mine. I love hoison sauce but if I'm making shrimp fried rice its because I'm looking for something savory/salty & rely on the peas and carrots for pops of sweetness. Definitely love this recipe & the tips. Looking forward to more videos & finding your products in stores. Thanks! 😊

Yes, I love making my own Shrimp Fried Rice. My only difference is I use Oyster sauce oppose to the hoisin sauce. And that bouillon added is the key!! Thank you for that!!

one old trick learned from a chinese chef for fresh rice for perfect consistency is water ratio to rice usually 1 to 1 ratio, an soak your rice to get the starch out , you dont need old rice. Water ratio is key.
