No, that's silly. Remove launch control, yes. The launch. no. There are plenty of everyday occurrences where you can see people wanting to get into that gap away from the junction/lights.

Remember between merc and beemer which ever gets quick on stand off wins, there are some videos where merc was quick and it won, The quickest of the line wins, the margin will be the same, it wont increase the lead further but on rolling race merc always wins....on Gt63 one video i know the merc driver had the slowest reaction on every race,that idiot couldnt launch that big merc I dont know which other videos you refering too. Race Mode in the AMG, please don’t use shift paddle... your car will shift itself at the right moment, taking driver errors off the equation. Just foot flat on the floor in race mode and watch AMG devour that Audi even more. I wish car reviewers would know more about this race mode... I use it all the time on my CLA45
Had an M5 comp, sold it and bought an RS6... If winning a drag race by 0.1 seconds makes you "the daddy", when your interior is circa Hyundai, your exterior is circa sub par, your build quality is even more so, and when it comes time to sell the thing you get utterly smashed... no thanks - will keep my E60 M5, E92 M5 to remind me of what M division was in its hay day... but its Porsche and Audi for me going forward... even the RS Etron makes that new I4 look like a pile of dog shit...and dont even get me started on the new M3/4

Good race! Surprised how well the Audi did given that its a wagon with way less power and torque. It should be mentioned that there is a basic mis match here as there are with all theses match ups. The E63s should be matched against the RS6 performance when it makes it to the showrooms soon. Same with 5 series Would you agree the RS6 would crush the M5 but lose to the M5 competition but the RS6 performance would be a different animal against both the M5 comp and the E63s.

Audi's RS Avants(RS 4 and 6) are underrated, and overlooked. This comes from a Beemer fan, who would most likely also overlook these cars in favour of some BMW.

@@av8743 yep, mainly the dashboard fascia - the 5 series hasnt updated to the new dashes ala 3/4/8 and X - which is a pity... I also had huge gearbox issues, which drove me mad...
@@pseudonym6642 hasn’t the LCI m5 already done that? It’s very similar to the new 3, basically the same. Unfortunate to hear of gearbox issues on the m5, I haven’t heard of that happening before. The zf8 is a pretty amazing transmission. Curious what was the issue and why bmw never fixed it ?
@@av8743 it was all software so they say... the zf is in the Audi and Benz too... so it was a bit strange ...just more aggressively setup in the BMW and would lurch, and then typically, when I used LC it would shit the bed ... its amazing how different the two cars feel in comfort mode... the Audi can almost feel like a CVT in comfort
Rolling races are done because even if you get in a situation where you would race someone, wich is highly unlikely(Except if you are searching for it) you gona be in a situation on autoban(highway) already rolling just hitting the gas and having some fun with guy in the other car.
The different angles of the take off is by far the best from all the channels I have watched local and international. Brilliant.

On carwow the this new 63 smoked the M5, merc struggled with traction on those wet conditions but came back to smoke the beemer
