This is TOTALLY FASCINATING! I’ve often wondered if Jordan is a narcissist?

Self-confidence, intelligence, having an opinion are positive attitudes. You nor I nor anyone can not be called a narcissist for having such qualities. Narcissism is a mental disorder, so it should not be used lightly, unless that's that you are trying to imply.

We're all living with a narcissist, we all have narcissistic tendencies! Look around! We're all finding our way, looking, and exploring each other, ourselves, and finding out what works for now, long term and for the betterment of the whole. It sounds pretty sad, but it's a necessary exploration to go through. We're all learning.

No. Narcissistic traits are very different from Narcissistic personality disorder.

I think we all have a bit of it because we all have egos. I think it stems from insecurities which we all have.

Tammy, I'm enjoying the talk thus far. Keith actually has a pretty good handle on the subject. A couple questions, as it pertains to the thumbnail. How does this image conflict with Jordan's message? Of an upward trajectory to aim for? And, in our current cultural context, do we really need more messaging attacking men for their ambition? I completely believe narcissism exists -- potentially in both healthy and unhealthy varieties -- but I also see it as a weapon that's been used by feminists and the left to try to beat men down for having ambition. I don't really think the problem of narcissism at this point in history is really about men, frankly. In the past, maybe yes. But one of the major observations in recent years has been the vast surge in narcissism among young women. That's where the problem really exists these days. It still certainly exists among men. But the rate at which it exists has exploded among women, as compared to the past. Just some food for thought.

It might be Octohuman personality typology: Spirituality is #7, but I'm not aware (have to read up more meta-analityic studies) what would be #8.

I enjoy this Podcast. Tammy is a calm patient Interviewer. It’s always an interesting discussion.
The best Source, on this Subject, is either Ross Rossenburg and Sam Vagnin, there research is Leading the way in actually understanding what Narcissism is ??
How and why it develops and what the consequences / implications are for the wider culture . . . .
If you read and follow there Research - You will understand the subject clearly.

12:29 I feel bad for how undeservingly lonely your husbands academic and professional life must have been because of this. Heavy is the head that wears the crown but iron is the neck meant to inherit it.
