3:47. GA, road. Bottom. Black Model Y and a Cybertruck in a slow drive southwards. Seen again at 5:56 on the westside. Again, top right at 7:42 driving slowly. 9:10 top, still at it. Plotting a self driving route perhaps. Might be self driving now, hence the snail pace.
4:36. Westside, W-WOW. Production Model Ys evidently using this road to access EOL. 8:25 also.

4:36 Remember sometime ago when you made estimates of how much time was saved by using the tunnel? And I said those estimates were wrong? Now you know why. 😊
Vehicles don't have to drive as far west as you originally suggested.

4:41. Westside, Tunnel Project. MotherTruck. No frame yet for the ‘side windows’, maybe something other than cladding is planned.
5:18. Westside, wastewater project. Note 2 sizes of formwork for 2 different diameter caissons.
Bottom. Caged ladders for use within the caissons.
7:40. EOL, north. Regular 2024 year Model Ys.
11:48. Battery/GA. New entry. Right. Ramp and stair concrete complete.
14:09. Casting, east. Apron. Bottom left. Boom-lift burst a hydraulic line.
14:38. Robotic Avenue. Top left. Cybertruck sporting the framework on the roof for lidar?
16:04. Texas Concrete batch plant. Left. Waste dump. Concrete truck break down.
16:20. Die Shop, west. Apron. Bottom right. Stacks of rebar shapes. More at 16:29.
17:28. Cathode, east. Apron. Black pipes on the way to 18:49.
18:58. Far north. Bottom right. Small stockyard.
Top. All the ponds low on water.

5:18 Guessing that the large diameter caissons are for TBM launch shafts, and the small diameter caissons are for TBM recovery shafts.

10:16. Tesla Rd. Concrete batch plant. Texas Concrete trucks here also. 3 Texas Concrete Batch plants within yelling distance. No wonder the temporary batch plant was mothballed.

@@DessieDoolan That plant on the west side of 130 belongs to Lone Star Paving, which has both a concrete batch plant there and an asphalt plant. The batch plant on the east side, the idle temporary batch plant, and the concrete truck maintenance facility all belong to Texas Materials (formally owned by Martin Marietta). Lone Star specializes in paving, and seems to get all of Tesla’s asphalt business, while the bulk concrete all seems to come from TM. Not sure why TM trucks would be at LS, unless they needed temporary extra capacity or were down for maintenance.

@@Frank-gt7me I did a search for 'who owns Lone Star Paving?' expecting that Texas Materials had perhaps bought them out.
Turns out they are to be bought out by Construction Partners of Alabama.
Yes, odd the Texas Concrete trucks would be parked there. No shortage of available parking at the main batch plant at 15:47.

Thanks for flying today Brad even though little work is going on. It’s good to see they did restart production.
10:34 left side, I wonder how long it will be before they bother to finish paving the northbound side of the road up to Tesla Rd. Other flights have shown shots of the entire unpaved section, maybe only a couple of hundred feet. Their paving contractor is literally just across the street and are on the Tesla site every month or so for bigger jobs. Maybe I’m just the only one bothered by small unfinished jobs, since there seem to have been a lot of places where work has started but then just sits for months before resuming.

You're not the only one bothered by all the unfinished stuff allover the place. The place looks like a dump compared to Berlin!

10:06. Left. The intersection doesn't look right yet. I would speculate one or more of those utility poles is to be relocated.
Compare the radius on the west side to the east side. Much tighter on the east.

    Slow day...
    Wastewater Interceptor:
@ 5:46 Behind the power plant.... The southern end of the construction project.
    Gas pipeline project:
@ 10:03 (Bottom right) Gas pipe in trench... Looks like they will be able to extend the pipeline north or connect to a pipeline from the north.
    Substation mega-vault:
@ 15:43 (Left) Door open on the new switchgear building. crew working inside.
    Future Harold Green Road alignment:
From 18:49 (Along the tree line) to 19:00 (highway 130, top) I wonder when the project will ever get started?

I suspect the new road won’t get started unless/until Tesla starts developing that part of the sire.

@@Frank-gt7me According to a news article Tesla has a responsibility to build that road for the neighborhood to the east. The neighborhood has been waiting for that road since 2017! The road was originally to be built by the county, but became Tesla's responsibility as part of the agreement when they bought the property.

@@DavidJohnson-tv2nn I saw a short video clip which I take to have been local news a year or so back showing that residents in the community to the east don't want the road at all. Would be interesting to see if that sentiment was there even before Tesla bought the land because a couple of residents in the vid indicated that the road would vastly increase heavy traffic passing through their domestic village, as in non Tesla related traffic going somewhere to their east I imagine. Joe done a short piece with overlays from drone footage along with permits and such so could check there. 12-18 months ago ish.

@@memrjohnno My news report is also coming from a local Tv station. I will try to post which one it is separately. It is from 8/15/24. One of the residents they mention by name and they are saying just the opposite. Apparently when there are problems of FM 969 it can take hours to get in or out of the neighborhood due to poor access in or out.

So, once they complete the cybor tunnel & get the cybertrucks using it, Tesla has
a permit to drill a 2nd tunnel from near where the model Y comes out of the factory
under the freeway to the north end of the westside building. I will guesstimate that
the old end of line lot with chargers on the east side will then be used for the coming
model2. ALSO, the new simi factory in Nevada is dangerously close to being closed
in. I would expect new simis to be rolling out of there by June.

Yep another slow day in what is the slowest week in American business. Many folks have the week off, including all of management or at least the big dogs. They haven’t returned from Hawaii, or Vail, or wherever it is that the rich go on vacations. Those that are working are doing the bare minimum, just keeping their heads down till next week. I usually try and work these days myself. As long as nothing important breaks or you get an idiot who doesn’t understand the rule that you don’t work on anything you aren’t willing to spend all weekend fixing by yourself without any tech support, everything is cool, it’s easy money.

Just a guess but I'm guessing they are using the holidays to cover a cutback in production and construction due to poor sales. Musk doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would give his people a bunch of days off if business was good.
