      Just to let you know we all end up this way. It may be for a short time or for rest of your life but it will happen to you as well. You may say no not me and that's fair esp. if you're like 20 or even 30 by wait to 40 and you're just like fuck this and fuck these people. It happens. I thought it wouldnt happen to me and it did for a few years too. I finally snapped out of it but reality is it's part of life and nature for humans to go through these phases.

      @allistairkumaran3582 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@theperson8539 Because it’s a cop out. Anyone that’s put even a slight bit of effort into losing knows that.
      Metabolism barely factors in unless you are the 1% that has some genetic issue. Barely anyone falls into that category.
      It’s an excuse that fattys hide behind

    • @theperson8539
      @theperson8539 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@allistairkumaran3582 Alright, discounting the fact that people with poor metabolism do often put in the extra effort to improve their health while understanding that they were at a genetic disadvantage, what do you think that actually means? The actual definition of metabolism is quite broad, but as a process of homeostasis, it essentially breaks down food and helps to maintain only the amount the body needs. One could say that by definition alone it is the core bodily function in retaining a certain amount of weight, as it turns food into energy.
      Now, this has two main effects to it, it means that it not only reduces the amount of fat in the body while maintaining an optimal amount of body weight, it also gives the body all of the energy it needs from food to survive. Meaning that a low metabolism not only reduces your natural weight loss, but it also means that you consistently have less energy to utilise. This is one of the causal factors behind even thin people with low metabolism generally being lethargic due to not having much energy in the day-to-day. This also affects you at night, since the body uses great deals of energy at night as well, meaning that low energy can mean bad sleep which results in being tired in all of your waking hours.
      This is all easily accessible information from reputable, and more importantly, reliable scientific studies on the matter.
      Metabolism is why some people can eat nothing but garbage all day and still be super athletic, leading to a broad series of habits that offsets any and all weight gain.
      The big point of all of this information is that genetics aren’t fair, and some people are just more likely to gain weight than others, which is a massive health issue that needs to be addressed properly by people who know what they are talking about from both a psychological and biological perspective.
      That’s the reality of the matter. Meaning that it is also fairly unlikely to occur, at least in the foreseeable future; perhaps the horizon has more on offer.
      In the meantime, you can point and laugh and disparage as much as you want. What’s that going to accomplish? A vicious cycle of stress and weight gain and self-loathing and all sorts of deprecation and depression.
      You will achieve your objective though, either the health problems or the mental stress will reach a breaking point, and there will be one less ‘fatty’ in the world. Of course, the draw of the genetic pool means that this can occur very easily at any point, meaning that this won’t be close to enough to actually stop obesity from growing. But you give it a shot, I’m sure it won’t weigh on you.

Dave crosses that line between Stand Up and Political Ted Talk where the set up goes on too long and by the time he gets to the punchline, you think too long. Bill sets it up and gets to the point, but the impact is somehow stronger than Dave’s long ass set up.

    McDonald's added salads to menus across the US in 1987. The company's push into "healthy" menu items served as an attempt to combat its negative reputation, solidified with the 2001 book "Fast Food Nation" and the 2004 film "Super Size Me." But despite various revamps, salads did little to drive sales. I cannot find when McDonald's salads in England / United Kingdom started.
    Washington, DC
    "Ronald McDonald, the Hamburger-Happy Clown" originally appeared in 1963 on three separate local television spots.
    Pictures of terrifying looking clowns in a deserted Wisconsin parking lot started appearing on social media in August 2016 as advertisements for a horror movie that was meant to release two years later.
    However, the images made it to American news networks and copycats started creeping out people in other places around the world. One month after the Wisconsin incident, creepy clowns were spotted in Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. It caused fancy dress stores to pull clown outfits from sale and the killer clown craze affected professional clowns and circuses. The police were working hard to catch the miscreants even though it was just harmless fun.
    The craze went out of hand on Halloween when there was a massive outbreak of killer clown violence.

    For a couple years , before Covid, you could get a limited breakfast menu after ten thirty. The people running the afternoon shift HATED IT. The plus for customers was the food was hot because they had to do it right then and there. No hold overs from the morning under a heat lamp. Also, for the rest of the menu, order your double cheese or whatever special to force them to make it from scratch. It’s slightly better than the regular stuff sitting under a heat lamp for 30 minutes.

    8:43 I absolutely believe that personality adds points.
    If a woman is pleasant to be around, if she is sincerely nice and kind-hearted....those are definitely attractive qualities
    I dated a women years ago that was at a lower level than myself on the stupid 1-10 scale however I really enjoyed being around her. It was literally a pleasure to be around her and I STILL REMEMBER HER AND THINK ABOUT HER. At the same time, I've dated women who were far above my level and other than acknowledging that I did date them, I don't think about them at all.
    So yes, being a very good person who is a pleasure to be around counts for points, no doubt about it.
    btw, Bill Burr is also right about the fat people. He is NOT saying that they are bad people, he is not saying that they do not deserve respect the same as other people.
    He is simply pointing out that the woke mantra that we should tell them that they are beautiful and brave and whatever stupid woke garbage is demanded of people is a load of horse shite.
    He's 100% right. The joke is not actually focused on large people, its using that as an example. The joke is pointing out the B.S of woke culture...and he's right.

    • @alipanroosendaal9503
      @alipanroosendaal9503 ปีที่แล้ว

      The woke culture emerged in reaction to a society where not being average, and satisfying the expectations of the majority, meant being regularly abused, marginalised and scorned. The motivation was from a good place, and largely that remains so. However, some people, who seem to want to go back to those bad old days, (when they could get away with casual fascism) now seize on any hint of an absurd instance to decry the whole movement. Well, the good news is that the future is with the tolerance empathy and respect generation. BTW - I am 60, and I often feel ashamed of my generation, for their small-mindedness.

    • @chandie5298
      @chandie5298 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alipanroosendaal9503 regardless of where and why it originated.... it is now a complete negative. woke culture is focused on actually abusing people. In fact, there is a massive narcissistic foundation where self-declared "woke people" target others more as a way of saying.. "me, me, me... look at me... look at me I'm so much of a better person than you"
      woke people are narcissistic, arrogant assholes and they are abusive to everyone around them.
      But you sound like a woke person trying to justify yourself. Your last sentence is an example of the narcissistic tendencies.. "btw, I am 60 but I'm one of the good people, not like the rest of my generation who I am ashamed of for their small mindedness but not me... me me me, look at me, I'm better than these other people in my generation.
      Yep, you're woke alright.
      EDIT: the most hilarious part of your post was that you did raise fascism into the topic although it had nothing at all to do with anything being said.
      So incredibly predictable of you....almost as if on queue because it is standard woke talking points. I will say though I'm amazed that you didn't also say racism, sexism and transphobia.
      You really need to go back to memorizing your woke talking points because its pretty much required that you accuse anyone who is not woke of being a fascist, sexist, racist transphobe.

      @@chandie5298 I receive on a daily basis from my generation the invitation to collude in being derogatory towards all those groups you brought up. I refuse to do so. In fact I am sickened and appalled to the point where I will expose it, if the subject comes up, as I came across it here. It is an act of creeping fascism. The definition of which is the targetting of any group simply because they are not like you. Thankfully I work with mainly young people, and they have much healthier, tolerant and empathetic attitudes than my generation. I am not bigging myself up. I am not perfect, but I really do try to learn from the younger generation. Why is that such a threat to you?

    • @deanaltman6841

      @@alipanroosendaal9503 You are completely delusional if you think the younger generation are tolerant, empathetic, or respectful. They are brainwashed, hateful, and extremely intolerant of anyone who does not agree with their far left radicalism. They are being taught to go against biology and science. They are being taught to hate this country when they have no clue whatsoever about life or what the outside world is really like. They are told that they are victims and the poor criminals just need a hug. They are taught that not having any morals is how society should be. They are taught that instant gratification is better than starting at the bottom and working your way up. They are being taught overt racism in schools. They are being taught that the color of your skin determines that you are oppressed or the oppressor even though neither side had anything to do with what happened decades ago. They are being taught that Communism is better when there is no successful country under that system. They are being taught to do what they are told and not question or think for themselves. No, they are not to be admired in any way.

    Eating healthy isn't expensive you can find a giant bag of frozen broccoli for like $3 at a store, you can usually get fresh green beans cheap, you can buy a pound of chicken breast for cheap, you can buy potatoes they're cheap, you can get pretty much anything that's walmart brand and it'll be super cheap, etc. It's actually cheaper to eat healthy than to eat unhealthy like I can get an entire month of oats for the same price I can get a thing of poptarts for.
