As a long time viewer, seeing these behind the scenes of candle making makes me feel really proud of you, so wanted to pass that on! It’s clear that you’ve learnt so much about the craft and are really looking to make every detail perfect. I hope you and Karen are giving yourself some big well dones 🎉
I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic, Lorna 😂 .. it feels a bit “inside baseball” so I was expecting it to be a real snooze fest for anyone not making them 🫣
@@MikhilaMakes no sarcasm. I found all the trial and error and wicks and wax measures fascinating!! My husband and one dog are very scent sensitive so we’re not big on candles / wax melts etc (although as you know, I have bought some from you!) but I honestly had no idea how technical it all was. Fascinating 🤷🏻♀️
The wick testing felt ENDLESS in the beginning. There are so many types and so many sizes within the types. I get our candle wax from a small business who makes their own specific blend but they don’t offer the same guidance as the big companies do (ie: “use this type of wick”) but it feels like such a triumph when a candle burns properly 😂 the win feels earned. Also.. is it scent or is it the scent delivery they’re sensitive to? I wonder if you’d get along with our diffusers.
@@MikhilaMakes I will try a diffuser. I use candles and wax melts in my office space, but even then the wee dog gets sniffly with some scents. To be fair, very ‘heavy’ scents give me a headache so I am careful anyway. Were just an odd bunch here 😂🤣🤷🏻♀️
I did the calculations this morning and we were hoping to sell for £60 but the wax alone is coming it at nearly £20 so once we factor in the jar/wicks/fragrance oil and labels we may be looking at £70 to turn a profit. I think they will be made to order to be safe cause that’s an expensive candle but it’s still a lot cheaper than any other I can find at that size
I did the calculations this morning and the cost of the wax alone is almost £20 🫣 so I need to reduce everything else as much as I can to keep the price reasonable
@@MikhilaMakes I was working on the assumption that a 1x wick candle is £16 so a 6x wick candle would be £96 which yes of course is a lot but most people who are keen and passionate about candles probably spend that and more anyway and this is a special situation where you maybe will only buy one giant candle at Christmas etc
It is almost the volume of 6x our £16 candles BUT it would potentially be less expansive to buy one large jar than 6 regular jars, less labels, less overall work.. I’m hoping to get it in at £70 max 🤞🏻🤞🏻
We will only be offering this within UK mainland but it shouldn’t be too terrible with our current courier .. we offer free shipping over £25 so we will have to build some of the shipping into the item price to subsidise, I thinj
So exciting!

Thank you, Amy!
What a journey! You really don't realise how much goes into making candles ❤
It’s not an overnight thing, for sure!
I love watching the process and that candle looks lovely lit xxx
Thank you, Sally!
What a thing of beauty 😍 mega Cashmere would be the dream!
I think that would be a lot of people’s choice!
Love it!!! ❤
It’s beautiful!! Love it ❤
Thanks, Lottie! It’s a gorgeous jar and I love the little label as a finishing touch

Haha! I hear you.. I’m very picky with scents. Even some I love, if I’ve made too many of the same one, I start to hate it 😂
Looks fab, how much will something like this cost? The amount of work it takes to make one, truly handmade ❤

Where do you sell your candles, please?

Won’t the shipping cost be $$$ on something that heavy?
