  • An ode to the unique sites, sounds and people of Tumamoc Hill. The trail to the top of the hill has been used by humans for nearly 4,000 years, as this area is known to be the longest continually inhabited site in North America. This University of Arizona research station sees around 1,500 visitors a day. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Desert Laboratory on the hill is listed as a National Historic Landmark. Thanks to Ben Wilder, the Acting Director of the Desert Laboratory on Tumamoc Hill and all those who shared their stories with us.
