Beautiful city, i'm from Texas, born and grew up in South Texas. I lived 4 years in Tucson, back in late 50s n early 60s. I still have friends and have gone back to visit friends. I love that place.
Need to include the Desert museum, if your visiting thats among the top places you have to check out. Another mention or two would be Round 1 (which while they are a chain its still one of the best arcades in the region) west of downtown you have the Mercado San Augustine and MSA Annex with many shops, events, and places to eat/drink, related some restaurants I would throw out include Caruso's, Mi Nidito, Los Olivos, El Charro, daisy maes, and Silver Saddle. For daytrip ideas we have caves with kartchner caverns being wheelchair accessible as well as biosphere two being a wonderful place to tour.
Also include union for weekend farm market and great live bands. For food los apson , pico de Gallo, rollies , el taco gordo , bk, guero canelo , American eatery , the Monica , la chingada , bocas , among many others and now Tucson studios (new owner) and buckalo farms specially for Halloween corn maze
I love the temperature difference between the valley and Summerhaven. We were up in Mt. Lemmon just 2 weeks ago (early July). It was around 100-105 in the valley. When we reached the peak, it was 76-80. And beautiful, expansive views from the top and all along the hwy up the mountain.
@@moodypet8837, it wasn’t scary for us as long as we stayed in the right half of the road and not taking the curves at 10-20 mph above the posted speed limit. Some drivers aren’t as cautious.
I dream of moving to the Tucson area. Lived in central Phoenix in 91-93. And although we used to ride our dirtbikes out in the open area of Glendale where there is now a giant stadium, I still think the life was great. Want so badly to get out of Northern California. Just gotta find work and we're there.
This was a very good video. Great videography and commentary. But it seems to mostly highlight the east side of Tucson and only makes brief mention of some real landmarks on the west side of town like the Desert Museum and Old Tucson. There's also the International Wildlife Museum, the Rodeo Grounds, 4th Avenue, and countless restaurants that can only be found in Tucson. I'm also not sure how well the airport fits into things to do while in Tucson though. I only go there when I have to :)
Check out the old Army Air Corps hangars along South Old Nogales Highway, if you can. B-17's, 25's and 29's all spent time in those buildings being fitted with weaponry before heading out overseas in WWII. I have a picture I would love to post here of seven 29's inside one of the hangars at the same time. They are immense inside.

Thanks for a good video on my home. Add the Desert Museum, remember there are two Saguaro National Monuments (East and West), the best Mexican food (far too many locally owned 40+ year old restaurants to name), Randolph Park & Reid Park Zoo, San Xavier Mission, A Mountain, lots and lots of street art, the Rodeo Parade in February (worlds’ longest non-mechanized parade), the UofA Photography Museum, the Miniatures Museum, the Titan Missal Museum, and oh so much more to our beautiful home! Oh, and one more thing…our air is clean and the view of the stars at night…Oh My!
