Stonewall Has Abandoned Gays & Lesbians. Trans Radical Activism Has Misogyny at Its Heart.

  • Actor James Dreyfus, best known for his roles on BBC sitcoms The Thin Blue Line and Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, joins us on the #SWYSI to discuss his experience of cancel culture and his thoughts on identity politics, trans radical activists and the impact they are having on the arts, gays & lesbians and wider society.
For signing a letter in support of JK Rowling and another letter calling on Stonewall to embrace greater tolerance of different viewpoints, Dreyfus found his name erased from material relating to his appearances as "The Master" in Doctor Who audio books. He also became maligned as a transphobe.

I was chatting with a young trans man last night at a party. I explained that I really didn’t want to offend him I just wanted to know what he thought about the question “what is a woman”. He suddenly got visibly annoyed, accused me of trying to trap him and said a woman can be anyone. He did agree that I had no intention of upsetting him and we changed the subject.
I just can’t get over how extreme this is. Just asking a simple question ffs!!!

My gay friends did not identify with trans people…very very different. Drag was a career , even with men who were married and had children, not the sexualized perverseness it’s become. I think there is a misogyny in it, with those who truly hate women.

Transsexuals were a whole other thing and they did not hang with the entire gay thing. There were also transvestites and many times they were straight even married men that got off dressing up. They were not lumped in with drag queens who WERE gay. I had a LOT of gay friends at one time for a few years because that was all that was there, where I went. Friendly people back then, NOT cliqueish at all. AND I knew 3 transsexuals, men to women and they did NOT hang out with gay people at all, did not identify with them at all. They were adults. They also REALLY looked like women.

I have decided, should I transition, that I won't be black & white about it, if it doesn't suit me, it I can't past, then theres no shame in detransistioning. For me, pasting is of absolute importance, & the more the LGBT community act up & make me cringe, the more important passing becomes. 'Cis' and 'trans' comes from organic chemistry usage. Via Latin meaning. It refers to molecules of the same formula but the atoms within the molecule are arranged as mirror images of each other. As a woman science teacher and 1970s feminist, it is no coincidence to me that our knowledge of organic chemistry grew around the same time as cis and trans man /woman developed. It is an impersonal scientific term, and has no place in defining me. I am a woman hear me roar, not a cis woman hear me whimper.

    • @nt78stonewobble
      @nt78stonewobble ปีที่แล้ว +1

Also, cis doesn't simply mean "non trans".
Both cis and trans are based on the premise that gender is determined by gender identity.
A: Cis, a person whose gender identity, which is their gender, match their body aka sex.
B: Trans, a person whose gender identity, which is their gender, does not match their body aka. sex.
Both are fundamentally different and indeed opposite to eg. me, and others who uses gender synonymously with sex.
My sex is my gender, regardless of whether my gender identity likes it or not. My gender identity only determines whether I suffer from gender dysphoria or not.
      Or in other words...
It's a way of pushing the view of gender = gender identity on others, even if that isn't actually the case.

If male bodied people are gaining access to female bodied people's spaces there is a issue of potential risk of sexual assault but, even where surgery is involved, the potential for assault by virtue of, on average, greater upper body strength and aggression.
I have no belief in gender ideology nor gender identity and consider its claims false and its annexation of pronouns an abuse of language.
DQSH as seen in libraries etc is, in my view, an outgrowth of q---r marxism and its goal of the overturning of the special property of 'normalcy'. It does this through a process called 'q---ring' that incorporates a process of 'complicating categories' in order to water them down. DQSH is that process by complicating and destabilising the development of fundamental categories of children during their formation, thereby attempting to destabilise statistically normal categories of man and woman.
I would recommend another James, James Lindsay who has read and analysed and laid open much of the marxist theories commonly emanating from woke Theory. His site is new discourses.

Drag ≠ Trans. One is a performance style from gay underground subculture. Since it has conquered the mainstream as an art form via Ru Paul and Drag Race, it was made into a symbol of «queer visibility». Look, I‘m gay. I stand with JK Rowling all the way. I despise what the activist LGBTQIA+ people have become.
That being said, drag and trans are not the same. You can find drag offensive, well, much success focusing on something else, like it‘s not that hard. That drag has no place in educational or children’s establishments is a no-brainer, it‘s very sexualised and it has absolutely nothing to do with building tolerance and real lgbtqia subjects.
The trans debate is happening on a completely different level. We‘re basically talking about objective truth vs a cult like indoctrination based on subjective self-perception of a small minority, which is using gays, lesbians, bisexuals and real, gender-dysphoric trans people who wish to transition and go about their lives in peace.
What is being fought against is the indoctrination, the disrespect to women‘s spaces, the real danger of criminals abusing it (oh, it happens in numbers that confirm what I had prior considered to be bigoted prejudices), womens sports, the change of language and culture, the endless victim complex and the violence shown in the name of tolerance and inclusivity towards even us, members of the lgbtqia population who refuse to shut up about them establishing a dictatorship of opinion and unwilling to navigate an encyclopedia of ever-changing psychotic gender / mental health / animal and pronoun mash ups that are propagated in our name.
As long as the g is in lgbtqia i will fight these people topth and nail, because they are using us as a shield to justify their claims.

My term is "purity cult". This applies to many movements, political, religious, left wing, right wing... The trans activist movement has a problem with expecting absolute purity of thought based on a party line so strict that those who disagree are accused of literally killing people with impure ideas. So what's the problem with JK Rowling? This is basically what I have gotten from her. She accepts trans women who transition to live as women. She has 3 issues however:
    * puberty blockers for adolescents
    * trans women in women's sports
    * gender self identity given legal standing
So a male can enter women's spaces while appearing as male with no effort to present themselves as a woman. Of course that will make gender so arbitrary that it will effectively cancel women's spaces as well as muddy the waters regarding sexual orientation (gay/lesbian/heterosexual). So JK Rowling is a transphobe who accepts trans women/men?

What a wonderful man James is, to hear another gay man, especially as high profile as James, speak the truth and echo my beliefs is truly refreshing.

Funny how these activist's, who always talk about tolerance and respect for others regarding their sexual identity, shift when you start expressing views they disagree with.

Ostracised for not being a coward and for telling the truth. Keep it up you brave, lovely man. How did we end up in this mess?

While I believe homosexuality is immoral... if it is entirely consensual then it is not a crime. And if it's private, as with anyone, then it is not a crime. No one gets hurt, no one is made to be unsafe. So long as consent is honored.
This was a sensible and enjoyable conversation. I agree that it's misogyny. I love women and I hate that women's safety is on the line. It is men's job to be a safety buffer for women and children.
These TRAs and their criminal benefactors make women and girls unsafe and take pleasure in doing so.
    Everyone should be against this.

as a gay man, I want to thank you for your heart felt comment. Years ago, gay people's goal was to just be left alone. Sadly, that is no longer true.

People have lost the plot, I remember when we could have a sense of humour. We could agree to disagree and still be friends. It's heartbreaking that we are in this situation, we are being told if you don't agree with our ideology you will see what will happen to you. So in other words lie about your beliefs and you will be ok. This is history repeating itself ( just look at Germany and what happened there). 😣😔

Yet nothing happens to the people doing this. The police show up for mean tweets but ignore this.
