My Favorite Game Is Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl Is My All Time FAVORITE Game. I Beat It On A Regular. It Really Changed My Life Forever Man.
I have never heard of that pathfinder maze game. It actually looks pretty fun to me, atleast more fun than battleship. I also just bought untold 1 digitally, which was an incredibly good choice.
Took me twice restarting Etrian 4 before I actually got what Etrian odyssey is. And after that. I fell in love with it. The only Etrian I don't own is the DS games. But if we use the untolds to count as the originals. Then I'm only missing Etrian 3. One thing to say for sure is that I'm excited for Etrian odyssey cross. And couldn't care less for personaQ2. Q1 didn't really feel great for me. I guess the set characters and the fact that a lot of the quests requires you to take all of them into the dungeons eventually put me off because I never use a hand full of them.
I only miss EO2 from my collection, not counting PersonaQ. I LOVE these games, though I only ever finished 4. It's really weird how much I love them, despite never finishing them... But slowly I am creeping through them and one day I'll have finished them. Maybe before the heatdeath of the universe...
I started playing the IV 2 weeks ago. I'll just say the moment you play it and time flies by. Thinking strategically about your way through each stratum and maze is too addictive.
I've been playing the Dragon Quest series and I started looking for something a little different. Downloaded the Etrian Odyssey II: Untold demo and I'm really enjoying it. I think the thing I enjoy most aside from creating the map is the character dialogue. I'll be picking these up!

My Boiii~ I didn't know that persona Q was a crossover or that Untold was a remake, I've only played the first one because I don't want to move on until I beat it. And I haven't ;-;.
Also if anyone enjoyed the games, The Dark Spire is also published by atlus and is basically the same game (though the map is autogenerated) but with an 80's western fantasy aesthetic instead of the Anime style. It's amazing. And has a kickass soundtrack.
Persona Q.... gameplay wise is a crossover. but as in a crossover of different games? well yes but actually no, yes because Persona 3 Characters are meeting Persona 4 characters, no because they exist within the same universe.
Yes! I love this series. I started with untold 1 but now have untold 2, 4, 5, MD, and the two persona ones cause I am way too obsessed with that series as well. Sadly can't find 3... or rather a decently priced copy of 3.
took me 11 years to get started properly... and now that Im in the 4th stratum again after loosing my strat 5 save, I bought the rest of the games and I wish I had started with EOU instead of EO I ... but man this game can be tough without a healer and a farming crew...
I love the exploration But the combat is pretty typical for an RPG, I think most RPGs would benefit from much more skill and strategic elements in both combat and preparation for an expedition.
I cant get into EO when I played PQ and strange journey so map making/puzzled and 1st person dungeon crawling is not a problem for me Dunno why EO just does not click
I played Persona Q last year and absolutely adored it, but seeing just how many 50+ hour games are in this series kinda terrifies me. I’m looking to get into some of them, but don’t want to burn myself out on it…
I found a copy of EO3 on one of my local retro-game markets for 50€. They claimed it was new (sealed and all) but there was a save on the game... Not that I care. I am only missing EO2 and I refuse to buy it online - because of the prices and collectors pride. Problem being, I am in Europe. EO2 and EO3 never sold over here... I am lucky to have found 3 the way I have...
Hey this is out of nowhere, but there is a sale of the whole series on the e shop, and I think I am going to get all of the main games in the EO series it ends of the sale is the 13th. (Out of date)
Well Got all of the games in the main series, I really hope that they don't finish the series until they make 3, but Etrian Odysse is a series that some RPG could learn from. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Raian Pia well idk about dead. But it certainly won't be the same. They would absolutely have to reimagine the series for the switch. Or create a spiritual successor that works well with the switch.
Almost 4 years later we still don’t have any news on the next Etrian Odyssey! Hopefully sometime in 2022, we’ll get some kind of trailer or release date!

I have a 130 hour save on EO2U classic mode. I think I may have problems.

EO3 if one of my favorites in the series, but I never gotten my hands on a copy. It's pretty hard to track down for a reasonable price.
