Bro I was trying to explain this to my girl at 6:27am and then when she walked by I told her to look at how you explained it with the paper and she was like oh wow thats easy lol That was a really great way to explain how to mask out and you helped me at the same time :) Thank you very much my friend!!!
No, because you are sliding the clip that's underneath. The one on top (with the hole in it) stays the same size and in the same position on your screen.
Hi, when I close the square in draw mask, the rest of the image doesn't automatically disappear the way yours does. Not sure what settings need to change. Thoughts? Thanks.
Anne, you need to select the “invert mask” button. This will change the mask from showing your selection to showing the primary storyline layer. You might also have the primary storyline layer enabled - turn that off and your image should disappear.
3 Years later and you’re still helping us out! Great video, very clear. Thank you.
You're (all) very welcome. I'm glad you find it to be helpful.
Pretty cool I just got a masking lesson from Keanu Reeves

I really liked the background music too. In case your curious, the music is "Waterfall" by Aakash Gandhi.

🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👏🏻, Awesome video!
I would be able to do that to an abnormal shaped object?
Sure. Use as many points as you need to draw a perimeter around the object. Shape doesn't matter.
But won't this crop my overall video size after sliding the video in the transform option?
No, because you are sliding the clip that's underneath. The one on top (with the hole in it) stays the same size and in the same position on your screen.

Hello, I am a beginner. Where do you find the masking tool that you begin to use at 1:32?
It's in the installed effects, which are in alphabetical order. Scroll down a ways and you should see one called Draw Mask.
@@rodneybrocke thank you.
All going well until the very end -- the original clip does not "move" for me to cover the masked object.
