    Craziest thing you've had to remove from a film?

      Bobby Burns someone’s iPad during an “unplugged” wedding ceremony.

      Ha! That sounds about right! Was it tough to edit out?

      Bobby Burns a bit of work with masking. Luckily it was a pan so it wasn’t that bad. But you’re right Content Aware Fill would really help especially with workflow.

      Real estate video, knickers hanging up in the bathroom, didn't spot them til after the shoot.

      We couldn't tell at the time, but my second shooter (drone pilot) could barely be seen through a window in my opening wedding shot! I masked him out with some bushes close by using your technique. Thank you!

    Tremendous help. I just gave it a try and removed an item from my desk on my video I didn’t want in the shot

    This was so mega the seconfd time around when I actually understood what you were doing. Thank you so much.

    This is a nice option. Also, you can use third party plugin Slice X and track within the one clip, its a quick way of doing the same thing.

    Hi. I'm curious about your preferences with the layout sizes, for the track and the effects window. Is there a benefit for the work flow, or is it more the help your audience see things clearly?

    • @BobbyBurns
      @BobbyBurns  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I typically have the effects window much smaller or minimized to allow more room for the timeline. However for this video since it was only one clip on the timeline I didn't really need much room there so never changed it.

      @@BobbyBurns I find that when I'm scrubbing frame by frame I'll zoom in on the timeline. You having the effects browser open like that the whole video gave me anxiety, lol.

    How would you handle having to remove multiple objects from the clip?

    Haha, sneaky way to do it. Wish they released the Adobe effect in FCPX too. Dope breakdown brotha!

    • @BobbyBurns
      @BobbyBurns  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sneaky but it works! There are currently third party plugins but I'd bet eventually FCPX gets something similar

    • @oliverwright
      @oliverwright 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bobby Burns yeah it’s gonna come some way, even if they put it in Motion rather than FCPX. I make similar tutorials on this stuff tooso I appreciate the hard work you put into this. Keep up the awesome stuff!

    I need your help on something. 4:35 How did you make it only show the little garbage can thing with just a black background?

    • @BobbyBurns
      @BobbyBurns  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey so you'll notice on my timeline I have the bottom clip turned off (by hitting v with it selected) so that means there is no back layer. Between that and toggling on / off the "invert mask" box you should get there!

    I do not understand why you make a copy. Is that where the mask is getting the replacement? Also is there a next step so that this shot is baked in to use in your end product or is this in the timeline? Thanks

    • @BobbyBurns
      @BobbyBurns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yah the copy is what fills the mask I showed the exact process step by step in this video

    Hi, when I draw my mask and try to step it forward I don't get a cursor, it wants me to re-draw the points if that makes sense. Any idea what this is? So I am unable to move the shape
