The How's And Why's Of The Quiver - Routines, Ideas & Concepts | Q&A Christmas Special
The Quiver is a best selling gimmick that has thousands of uses. It is basically the modern day close up version of a change bag. However most magicians don't really do much with the concept at all.
In this video Craig talks about the quiver. He compares the different types of quiver and talks about the differences between each one. He talks about the pros and cons of each of the different quivers.
Also on this video Craig performs lots of different routines with quivers. Card routines, coin routines, mentalism and more He explains why each routine works and where you can buy the different routines from.
If you are passionate about magic or if you want to start doing more with your quiver then this is the video you have been waiting for!

That first routine is so brilliant Craig. Wow. I really need to buy a Quiver Plus-- never even heard of them before-- although how you made the card change into a coin in your hands is FAR beyond my skill level-- that was amazing.

I am new to magic and have both a Quiver + and a Quiver. I tore a card up" that we will not need" put it into quiver "to keep things clean", did a few card tricks inbetween then dropped a full "restored card" into a spectators hands to clean out my coin wallet and please throw away for me, saying nothing more. They are always in awe when they realized that it is "fully restored!!" Thanks for giving me more ideas... You Rock

I (normally) won't watch long videos for many reasons (such as a short attention span, family distractions), but while I'm only 12 minutes in, I had to say I'm really enjoying your thinking and am going to watch all of it, and at normal speed (which is my way of saying this is awesome). I love this. So useful.

I love the Quiver purse. And, like you, I’ve got multiple Quiver purses - both the original size and the ‘Plus’ size. Other than maybe a thumb tip, I don’t think I’ve used any other magic utility item more than the Quiver. It is so well made and so fantastic! It so much fun to use!
…And I’m the guy that posted on the Magic Cafe about using it for exact change for my coffee at the coffee shop! That is just a bit of fun with the Quiver at the coffee shop! So cool that you mentioned it!
So glad you put this video up! Thanks, Craig!

I bought a quiver and came to the conclusion it's for a utility or clandestine switch as you said. I call my routine Trinity after the the three interlocking gold rings from Cartier. I used to perform linking finger rings and even performed it for a Cartier event in Paris. But the quiver makes it easier. I begin by removing 3 rings from my finger and tell the audience they were my 3 wives and I have to remove them for the next trick. I take out my quiver, empty it of the small change onto the table and ask the spectator to put all three rings in the purse and hold it. They can feel the rings inside it. Then I perform stargazer and ask them to make a wish. After handing out the star band to the spec I ask them to give me back the rings but when they open the purse the there rings have become interlocked. I place them back on my finger, put the coins back in the purse and I'm reset except next time they will unlink.

An idea to Quiver ATM at 1:11.32: maybe it's an idea to fill the quiver purse with an receipt which you show in the beginning. This receipt is folded and taken out in the beginning. Consequently the Quiver purse is "empty" then - and could be "filled" with the credit card for the routine.

Wonderful video, Craig. Thanks. That said, there is one trick related to the Quiver that you didn't mention. It might be the most important thing of all: WHERE CAN I BUY THE BLOODY THING? I'm across the pond in the states, and NOBODY seems to have them. If I purchase them on Amazon, they ship from China and take forever to get here.

Hey man, I have a question. Where can I get a closeup mat like the one you are using?

Hello Craig, I have a coin question for the next Q&A:
As a fairly experienced coin worker, I have been using replica Morgans and regular Kennedy halves.
Is there a benefit to investing in silver dollars/halves for my coin work (aside from the increased beauty and appeal)?

What is the CSB you use? I use carpenter coins but they seem quite noisy compared to the ones you use, any tips to make them quieter?

Hey Graig, have enjoyed your videos over time. I'm assuming the coin set you use was custom made for you?. I initially thought the set was the typical CSB but the begining and ending threw me off as the three coin set nests into one. I''d love to buy one, can you please identify the set. If it was specially designed for you, any guidance as to how I can aqcuire a set? Keep the videos coiming, love your son, hope he continues the magic path. Peace, James.

Thanks for the video Craig! I almost stopped using my quiver because I didn't think the 'vanishing' effect was very strong- thanks for injecting new life into it!
Unfortunately I don't use Instagram or perform much card magic - would you be able to provide another hint to the gimmick used in the 'any card named into quiver' trick (routine 6)?
    Thanks for the amazing video!

You’re more than welcome. Basically the gimmick you need is two double ended cards. A red queen that shows a queen of hearts at one end and a queen of diamonds at the other and a black queen that shows a Queen of clubs at one end and the Queen of spades and the other.
      It’s a standard dealer item

Can the ATM routine be done with the Quiverplus or is it too big for the switch?

You don't find that the bulge is too noticeable? My spectators point it out. It's visible in your video. Just curious about your experience with that? I had been keeping money in all 3 and showing two of them empty. But perhaps I do need "Lose" type billets to justify the bulge in all 3. Also, I skipped around a bit, but I noticed that you are the one opening them (from what I've seen)... Do you also worry about "flashing" if they open it? I've been doing a similar 3 quiver routine but only for drunk people in walkaround because of the concerns above. Thanks for posting this!
