Let's be totally honest there are two types of magicians in the world.
Magician Type Number 1 - Those that leave the house loaded up with an insane amount of tricks and props in case someone wants to see magic
Magician Type Number 2 - Those that have no magic on them and tell anyone that asks to see magic that they "have nothing on them'.
Both of these options are not great at all! There is however a third option. Carry tricks with you that looks organic. Tricks that when they are in your wallet or on your keychain they look like they should be there. This way you can be prepared to do a 30 minute show if you want to but it looks like you are using everyday objects and not special magic props.
In this video Craig Petty goes through 12 awesome tricks that should become part of your everyday carry. These are tricks that include props, however the props look like something you would carry around with you. Also all 12 of these routines are awesome and will absolutely slay an audience.
Craig performs the 12 routines and then talks about why they are so good and why you should include them in your everyday carry.

Buddy, every magician wants a demo of every trick that they know about. When we first started that's what we wanted the magic shop to do. Your service is invaluable and you're showing the review channels how it should be. An opinion is just that, doing the trick allows us to have an opinion. Keep up the great work. 👍
I'm a complete noob at magic. The very first thing I've done is ordered the Orphic+ wallet. Then I ordered an HD Thumbtip. Thumbtips are THEE PROVEN and MOST OVERLOOKED inexpensive prop you can own, and you can perform great effects with them using money, salt, sugar, napkins, and of course, handkerchiefs. Next, I own American Kennedy half dollars, because yes, coins ARE organic, and when coupled with a shell, you can perform some amazing effects that will bewilder your audience. Then I bought a pack of marked cards. Marked cards are not exactly organic, but tell that to David Blaine who got his start performing street magic with playing cards. The next item I got was invisible string, which again, coupled with organic things like rings, coins, and candy can create some fantastic effects that people will NEVER forget seeing. And this is what you want, to create illusions that are UNFORGETTABLE. If they remember your magic, they'll remember who performed it for them.
Love how your wife has probably seen each trick you show us so many times and yet she still acts and goes along with it, she sure loves you 😂
I subscribed. Not many people realize that for magic to be miracles is based on (partly) how organic your magic is. I myself took my card toon deck and drew over the magician having "fatter" parts of his body. and colored in the curtains and such like a 5 year old did it. It's very imperfect. Each card is different ; a fatter leg, a fatter arm, a fatter face...basically I messed up the perfection inherrent in card toon to make it so when I riffle each card jumps around a bit LIKE I ACTUALLY DREW IT MYSELF....bc of all the imperfections I created on each card. I do ONLY organic magic. It makes me into a miracle worker vs a slick magician who fooled them with my cleverness.

So... I got Ignition, practice it and show it to my 8 year old daughter. Afterwards I hand out the key and bill for examination. Then she... tries to repeat the magic and rams the key straight through the bill.... 😱
Lesson to be learned: do not hand out both the key and the bill to the same person at the same time.

I always pull out my credit card whenever you do videos like this. Some great ideas!! I carry both Ignition and Mon-key on my key chain. Also have DFB and Locked and Loaded on my phone-- In addition to Wikitest and Inject. Thanks Craig for a few new great ideas!!!!!

Firstly I really appreciate your content man keep on keeping on! Secondly, I have a request... would you do a video on holdouts and pocket management tools for every day carry? I been working on a few ideas on where to keep things and making/ sewing some things for pocket management. Any input or future video for this? Would love to see your opinions. Hay Craig, i do holey money with half dollar coins ,I preped my self and I have a routine with two half dollars on my key ring, I remove them and switch out one half doller for the coin with two holes., love your video thank you man
I really appreciate your thoroughness on your explanation. Blank was one of my first DVD's and for you to explain the trick and have a section on slights blew my mind. You and your son should put out a beginner video in that format.

Otherwise it just looks like you are hiding something as you pull away. I've changed the handling and now i have people trying to burn my hand it its covered and looks natural. You're Welcome, lol

Loved this film. Some excellent choices. Completely agree with the notion of things appearing organic. I carry Magicard by Mark Jenest in among my other, 'real' credit cards and in my phone case I've got Will To Read. Would definitely be keen to watch the "next 12" film. (Had a good giggle at Sarah "keeping her options open" about magicians she knows! lol!!!!)
Your addition to Powerball 60 of interjecting a guess or non-guess about how many tickets their number would be on is a good diversion from what is really going on. Thanks.

Great stuff. I do like Gossip and might spring for it. I don't own a smartphone but there are so many effects now that look really good that I might finally jump into the 21st century. I carry Phill Smith's HUMINT. Funny routine and a brilliant peek method. No need for a peek wallet. Could you please do a review of HUMINT? Or include it in your next EDC
Looked forward to this review, agree with some EDC mentions inc Shadow Wallet & Dave's RFR. But disapointed no mention of Mon-key, Double Deception, Coin Unique & Quiver Wallet which IMO any EDC top ten should include, they're always in mine!

Great routines. Myself probably like most magicians I carry a deck of cards, a T.T. with silk, and business cards with a writing instrument for mentalism. Those are great ideas. :-)

Great video. My criteria for EDC is it has to be in my regular wallet, on my keychain, or in my regular cell phone case. I have around a dozen items, and I could do a two hour show if necessary. Usually I just do one thing for people who ask or if it comes up. I do include keymaster, it is really good. I don't carry Ignition because I lost one of the parts once and it and then the prop is useless. I really wish it was designed so that it would be secure on a keychain.
Hello Craig, these videos are great. I have a suggestion, if you don't mind.
Many of your videos are extremely long, because of the performances, which are good, I don't think that I am alone in not being able to sit through the whole video in one sitting.
Too much awesome info is being presented in one go. This EDC video could have been split into a 3-4 part series, 'EDC-Keys', 'EDC-Phone' etc for example.
I would think this is better for the TH-cam algorithm as well as viewers will watch one video after another in the series.

Very good Craig one of the best reviews I have seen helping other performing magicians buy or use great magic that they all can perform have you ever used or had a stealth wallet whats your opinion and whats the difference apart from the size as shadow wallet and stealth both have outs and peek and you say Nexus best you have ever seen what makes it better than a shadow wallet or Blink 1 or 2.0 would be nice if you could answer all of the above keep up the great work your son is Amazing young lad too 👏😊

Almost any of Richard Sanders' effects are great for your edc. I like to keep ACE in my wallet with PB60.
I realize this video is a year old, but thanks Craig! Great ideas. I've been looking at Keymaster for a while, and love the idea of having the key cut to be a usable key. Does anyone know what type of lock the blank key would fit? Different lock brands use different key profiles. Thanks!!

I just started watching this episode and you are about to start the effects you would carry with you and would be shocked if Extreme Burn is not one of them.
I would love to hear where yo carry the all important bit for Ignition as the method given isn't really practical and would be lost very quickly.
If you had to take a set of coin gaffs for EDC (also organic in my opinion) what would your go to be?
I’m filming the next every day carry video next week and I’m including some coin gaffs in it that I think are very organic.
@@magic-tv What about Poker Chips as a replacement for coins? I know the gaffs can be cheaper and a good way to see what coin gaffs could work for you?
@@garethwitty6115 late to reply but just wanted to point out that unless you're in Vegas I would say a set of poker chips don't really hit the 'organic' requirement. I actually don't own any coins but did buy a set of poker chips along with a bunch of routines.. They are super well made and come with a bunch of different gaff chips. Compared to coins the price was a no-brainer... If I had wanted all the different gaffs in actual coins I would probably be looking at £150+ worth of stuff... Think I got everything for like £40-50 and the amount of different routines is absolutely crazy. Definitely agree with you though that it's a great way to practice and learn the skill without breaking the bank.. And if you enjoy it then you can always upgrade to coins when you are ready to go out and about to perform.
It's also a good excuse to start holding weekly poker nights just so you can use your chips in a natural setting... Along with some good old sleights, you could very easily clean up and have the chips pay for themselves 😉😂
PS. I can't be held responsible for loosing all your friends when they find out you have 4 aces up your sleeve and you've been slowly draining their cash all night 👌🏼

I’ve been curious about ignition. I assume that there is an extra piece you need to carry similar to pen through Bill. Can you carry that extra piece around with your keys? I’d be worried I’d lose it
This is a big problem that Craig ignores for some reason.
I own it and have carried it around before with no issue. Attached to the key.
I ignore it because it’s never been an issue for me. I’ve done the routine for years. The gimmick sits where it’s meant to and I’ve never lost it or had an issue.
Sorry if you think I have something to hide but I can’t make a fuss out of something that has never been an issue for me.

Im on the fence on this topic as as you mention we are not performing monkeys, but at times I do have something to show people that is very strong in magic sense but only on certain occasions but I know a lot of other entertainers such as musicians dont sing a song just because someone asks, I post a lot of great stuff and gigs and photos online so people are well aware of whats happening. If I miss out on a gig by not showing someone an effect in the street when Im doing other things in my downtime then so be it, Who here would ask Adelle to sing a song for them if you saw her or Mick Jagger in a restaurant...exactly

I can only speak for myself, but if I'm in the grocery store and I ask a magician to show me a trick...if he says "look, it's a fluffy bunny rabbit" and actually produces one, I'm buying tickets to whatever show he has going on. No questions asked.

The logo(on the table) is extremely distracting and confusing.
Change it into the cards being either on top/behind the top of TV, or on top/behind the top of M(in magic) and make them definitely smaller.

I didn't like the multiple out routine. You performed it very well, but there is a reason I don't like them. The premise is you are doing a prediction, but the prediction seems to be rather permanent, so therefore it isn't a prediction, it is a force or mental manipulation. Just not my fav. You said Ryland carries it with him every day. However, this seems like a one time trick.
This is a great topic. It’s good to always have something on you ready to go. Of course, I don’t go around carrying my sponge balls or invisible deck with me just in case someone wants to see a trick. So i love stuff that you can just fit in your wallet. :)
