Even if they don't get the displacement thing, people should know cosmetics are sold by weight or volume, and the amount is usually printed clearly on the package. (Looking at you, elf, with your tiny stickers...) Overly bulky packaging can be deceiving, but reading is a vital skill. 🤦♀️
Exactly! Even if the container is the size of a soda can, if the label says 4oz, they are selling you 4oz. Size of the container doesn't matter unless it's too small.
you would think, but people "fill it up right" on all types of products to "get their money's worth" like the store has someone in back underfilling things to put on the shelf and not the manufacure leaving head space for shipping and filling it by weight
Creators are constantly having to explain to people why they aren't 100% full 😭 i wish people would just understand to go by the amount that is listed, it's reliable
I watch someone on TH-cam who makes and sell lip glosses and other stuff. She had to upload the same videos explaining why she couldn't fill up her lipgloss tubes all the way because some people thinks it's underfilled when she actually put the right amount in 🤦♀️
Also you pay for the amount written on it not for how large the tube is. It's up to every customer to judge if they are willing to pay the retail price for whatever quantity a product is said to be containing.
About 3 hours ago, I explained this concept to my 8-year-old sibling who was outraged that the mac and cheese box wasn't filled to the top with macaroni. He nodded his head and said oh that makes sense and walked away. Its amazing that children really are smarter than a lot of adults
I'm always frustrated that I cant get to the lipgloss on the bottom because the applicator is so short!! Same with nail polish :'( Why do they do that?
Crows are actually so intelligent that I’m pretty sure they probably understand formula displacement! And I’m pretty sure crows in general are probably more intelligent than the people who say they are being scammed by companies not filling the tube to the brim!
ive reached an age where im no longer sure if conspiracy theories like that are because of younger people who havent fully developed their critical thinking skills having an online presence or because of older people who havent had to utilize critical thinking in many years seriously engaging with the former group 😭 think people!!!!!
If you don't know about simple concepts like displacement, I don't think you're qualified to call yourself a beauty enthusiast tbh, like c'mon, it's the same reason you wouldn't fill your bath to the brim, a six year old can understand that 💀💀
I mean it’s not even particularly ADVANCED physics. If they’ve ever put ice an a full glass of water they should understand liquid displacement by now lmao
I do not get the number of people who will go out there and accuse when watching a simple lip gloss filling and tubing could answer the questions, just think about physics. Or did they all fail that too??🙄
These are the same people who rediscover ice has volume and think Starbucks is scamming you, every. Single. Year. Some people are not the brightest color in the pack
I have this revolution lipgloss I’m never buying again because there’s wayyy more packaging than product I looked at it from the bottom and I was shocked!
I’ve seen so many small beauty brand owners make videos about this and it’s like….. when are we going to stop having this conversation, when are people going to LEARN
please talk ablut clarins sooting foaming cleanser the packaging is a mess you can never get the full product even putting in alot of effort its so so hard that packaging for that consistency…
I don’t fully understand this so feel free to correct me but I also heard a small business mention that extra air is also important for shipping because of the changes in altitude.
People need to understand that water/liquid displacement is. Water displacement is when the volume of something pushed water away from it. Since the water only really has one way to move, it goes up. If the companies were to fill it all the way, it would leak out, then the influencers will complain yet again about the packaging being sticky and product leaking out.
This is soo trueee, because I try to get bigger lip oils/glosses with smaller applicators. My essence lip oil (which I can’t live without) unfortunately has so little product in it and I can finish one tube completely, even having to remove the stopper in less than a month. This is really dissapointing and I wish they had different packaging with more product because not only is it hydrating and nourishing but it is also very long lasting and shiny.
I can't believe here's videos explaining this SMH common sense and physics!!!!! Smh the thing is nowadays no1 really buys 1 lippie and finish it till the end and disarming the gloss bottle to get every drop out because we overbuy.

If the product has as much grams or ml as they say on the packaging, what is the problem? 😅
Why does this even need to be explained? Y’all know what VOLUME is right? When you place a large object inside a glass of water it takes up VOLUME. The glass of water looks like it got filled up more despite having the exact same of water it had in the beginning. Omg we are doomed 😭😭😭
Do people never put ice in a glass or use a bath or literally DO ANYTHING that displaces water? Like what- are people actual morons. You figure this out as a literal child from curiosity…
The fact that this needs to be explained hurts my soul so much
Lol 😂😂😂
It physically hurts me
Some people chose beauty over brains, literally
Same..
That's what I'm saying broo
Lol physics people....PHYSICSSSSSSS 😅
Lol 😂

Truly! Size impression can be misleading, but the formula amount is clearly stated 💁♀️

full grown adults not understanding displacement is CRAZY 😭
Truly 🫠
Unfortunately, some people simply do not listen while they were in school. Liquid displacement was taught since elementary 🤷🏻♀️
Lol 😂😂😂
Archimedes is rolling in his grave
Uhgggg I feel like we go over this all the time! YALL DO YOU KNOW HOW SPACE WORKS
Lol some people needed a little refresher 😅
@atkgg 😂
Archimedes is rolling in his bathtub right about now lol
Lol 🤣🤣🤣
Aside from that, it's about the amount of product they are selling you, not the size of the package.
💯
Just have them sit in a small tub that has been filled to the brim with water and see what happens
🤣🤣🤣

@@charlottebeads yes it's Kiki

People out here proudly showing the world that they failed middle school physics...

Honestly people, fill a tub to the edge with water. Then step/sit inside and see for yourself 🤦♀️
I do think some lipgloss applicators are ridiculously big. I guess the tube ones you squeeze are a better choice if this is bothersome
Small businesses have literally talked about this, too
Absolutely, in fact most the videos I came across were small beauty brand owners having to explain why they can't fill their glosses all the way
I'm always frustrated that I cant get to the lipgloss on the bottom because the applicator is so short!! Same with nail polish :'(
Why do they do that?
Ugh yes, this is such a pet peeve of mine 🫠
Tell me you got less intelligence than a crow without telling me you got less intelligence than a crow 😬
😂😅
Crows are actually so intelligent that I’m pretty sure they probably understand formula displacement! And I’m pretty sure crows in general are probably more intelligent than the people who say they are being scammed by companies not filling the tube to the brim!
I honestly thought this was common sense
I looove your videos!!
Thank youuuu!!!

I'm amazed at how many people don't read the volumes on package sizes. You're not getting cheated just because the package isn't filled to the brim
genuinely shook that needs to be explained that the wand also takes up space. 😂😂
You are so informative and pretty!!! Just subbed!! I cannot wait to see you and your channel grow. Under 30k subs gang ❤💪🏻
Okay but that shimmery, lavender gloss?!?!
I learned about this from watching kikiz cosmetics videos
Love that! 🙌

A more educational video would be covering make-up shrink- flation
Oooo this is a great suggestion!!
The fact that this needs to be explained kills me inside 😭
Water displacement should be a simple concept to grasp for anyone who has taken a bath.
Omg i love the essence lip oil but it does run out fast.😅
Why doesn't anyone ever look at how many grams or ml of product there are?!?
How do ppl not know this 😭
I can't believe people need to be told
It’s almost like both the wand and the product take up space, and there’s a limited amount of space in the vial🤯
Not to mention how things can be affected by transport. Hot soup rule people, if you fill it to the top it's going to make a mess.
Have you ever filled your water bottle up all the way then tried to screw on the lid/straw? See how the water starts to come out? Exactly
Archimedes principle
💯👏
I don’t fully understand this so feel free to correct me but I also heard a small business mention that extra air is also important for shipping because of the changes in altitude.
We can not be this dumb seriously 😂😂 how did people not learn this as a kid 😂😂😂😂
The fact that people dont check the ounces and go based off how it looks will always baffle me
Besides it always says how much product there is
... People are really dumb nowadays.
like yall they say the amount of product included on the packaging
People need to understand that water/liquid displacement is.
Water displacement is when the volume of something pushed water away from it. Since the water only really has one way to move, it goes up.
If the companies were to fill it all the way, it would leak out, then the influencers will complain yet again about the packaging being sticky and product leaking out.
For those who complain..... It's basic, school physics!!!!!! 🙄🙄🙄
💯👏
The scam is the unnecessary big applicator in a tiny bottle. You literally only get like 5 uses out of it
Every time I hear this I lose a little more faith in humanity, it’s so ridiculously obvious!
It's just so, so obvious 🥴
Didnt everyone learn about displacement in middle school with the baths and crown story?
This is soo trueee, because I try to get bigger lip oils/glosses with smaller applicators. I dont think this need to be explained but some tools clearly arent the sharpest tools in the shed.
To the people who think they are getting scammed.. Just look at the damn volume in the packaging bruh!!!! 😑
did we not learn this in 4th grade? lol maybe we needed a refresher 😂
In short: the education system is failing us hard.
Did some people skip their physics class or something??
Tell me you're brainless without telling one 😂. Every time I see someone complaining about the filling amount
Do people never put ice in a glass or use a bath or literally DO ANYTHING that displaces water? Like what- are people actual morons. You figure this out as a literal child from curiosity…
Youre paying for the x amount of product , not for the whole vile to be filled btw
But the amount of product is listed on the box. What is the difference, and how is it a scam ?
How do these people live their lives, even corvids know what displacement is 😭
someone people are so dumb it hurts
