Fellow Canuck here. Yes, I know this is old but god DAMN it was satisfying to hear that FUCKIN' EH right at the end. So Canadian. This a guy after my own heart 5 litre Mustangs and SC400. We're living parallel lives! You're not alone brother!
hey i have a 1992 sc400 .my mechanic has had my car since march and i’ve found out a number of issues which isn’t surprising considering that this car sat for 5 years along with field mice. car had worn fuel injectors, no maf, poop timing belt, leaky radiator, clogged fuel filter, a short and a bad sensor. we got it run for a bit….until he started tackling the electrical short, then the car started spewing out white smoke underneath the dash as he tried to move the car to a different spot. 😕 he said he took apart the dash to fix some wiring and now the car doesn’t crank… i think he’s lost at this point and idk how to help him. i honestly hope this car isn’t fried. I also have a rebuilt ECU and he’s hesitant to put it in because it might fuck it up… this wasn’t the first time I gave the ecu to him, the first time he put the rebuilt ecu in the car it cranked, but didn’t start until he put the old one back in. After that he told me that my new ecu didn’t work which was weird because i tested it on my brothers car
Sounds like he needs to test the car and dianose it properly. Or pull the dash and replace the loom in there if he can't find the issue. Diagnostic is the best way forward.
Without the hydraulic fan pump pulley or viscous fan pulley either a 6pk1555 or 6pk1560. With the pulley 6pk1575 running around the correct side so it still rotates to correct direction. Ive just done a hydraulic fan strip out video. With be released soon. Cheers Kelvin
Sure does talk funny Mike. Like a whole different language at times. Oh wait. Thats the next video. Haha. Thanks for being a good sport. Cheers Kelvin.
@@CartuneNZ Welp, if you've ever seen any of my cooking or language videos, then you can judge for yourself, Kelvin. I'm 100% sure you will find me just as funny sounding as the other Canuck. Hahaha. Cheers!

Hi Kelvin, can you make a video about Code 25 Lean Malfunction for 1995 Lexus SC400?
omfg great stuff to see!! hahaha I love it great finish
Glad you enjoyed! Cheers Kelvin
Got a sc400, 1st gen
No crank
Slapped new starter still no crank
Check engine light came on that it was the ecu
I’m stumped
So igniters does not need tohave earth to chassis?
Just had the same issue in a sprint car 2 weeks ago lol
So easy to sort when you know how to test stuff. Cheers Kelvin
Good videos! I have a 3uz swapped datsun which I cant get running. Would you be interested in helping figure it out for some $$$?
Sure. Ive also got plenty of 3uz stuff coming up in a couple of future swaps. Flick me an email info@thecartunecompany.co.nz
So this was cause the ignitors wasent grounded .did it affect the fuel priming
Yes. Mike had painted the ignitor bracket with POR15 and there wasnt an earth. No fuel pump prime. Pump runs when engine is cranked.
