    I am not a big ELAC guy, I always found other brands to deliver sound that fit my needs better.
    I always found enjoyment in other similar priced speakers, and felt that ELAC just needs more character.
    So did it all change?
    Yes! Watch this video to learn why.

    Hello, I liked your review, thanks for sharing your thoughts on these!
    I have a question, if you had to decide between these Elacs or the Kef LS50 Meta, what would be your choice?
    My amp is a Cambridge CXA-81.

    • @HIFIDaydreaming
      @HIFIDaydreaming  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks man! Kef ls50 meta, but it is much more expensive right? In kef there is a lot more insight and transperancy, but bass and lower end is much bigger in elac. Elacs are also for me much more fun, they are less clinical and can extract less information, but that lower end drives music much more interesting.

    • @juanraceroronquillo1687
      @juanraceroronquillo1687 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for your answer, bass is not a big problem for me since I have two subs, my doubt is if that extra clarity and transparency will be too much matched with the CXA81

      @@juanraceroronquillo1687 CXA81 is still bit punchy and warm, it should not be overwhelmingly clear and balanced. I understand your concerns, but as I said it all depends to what synergy you like, it all depends from what kind of listener you are. As certainly this will not be punchy, upbeat synergy. But good thing is KEF and CXA81 are super popular amp speaker, can you not demo them somewhere?

    Thank you reviewing these Elac speakers!
    I don't know how much time will take the ride in.
    At low volume these speakers are dead.
    For sure they need some loudness to ride in.

      Hey men, thanks for watching my review! You are absolutely right, and I don't know how I missed to mention that in review. I had the same feeling while listening to them, that they need to be listened at higher volume to open. For them to bloom. What amp do you have to drive them?

      @@HIFIDaydreaming I'm using a vintage A class Technics from the 90's, but I'm also looking for a backup/upgrade, Yamaha R-N800, R-N1000, Audiolab 7000a or Denon DRA 900h. I can't decide.

    • @HIFIDaydreaming
      @HIFIDaydreaming  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well they all sound completely different. I still have not heard R-N800 and 1000, but it should have vintage technics sound, warm and detailed. Audiolab is airy and open, and Denon have this lower end heavy sound. Depending what you love they might make you happy. If you plan to stay with Elacs, get something with more punch and uped treble.

    Thanks for my speaker review.
    If you want to wake up the real Lion on these, try to pair it with a good tube amp of atleast 25watts and you will see what I mean.

      Hi thanks for watching my videos, it is appreciated! Well I tested it with many different amps, but truly not even single tube amp. But I am happy that you like your combination and synergy and enjoy your speakers.

    I heard a lot positive from UBR62. However, I think it looks quite old-school style, which is not my cup of tea. Nowerday, modern speakers has the port at the back side. 😂

    • @HIFIDaydreaming
      @HIFIDaydreaming  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is not true, it all depends from manufacturer. Focal and souns faber make wide range of speakers, from cheap to expensive, that are front ported. They are new speakers as well. So it is not about being old fashioned, and more about their audio testings showing that bass couples better with treble when is front and not back ported. 🙂

    Good review. Honest one I think. So, I do not know why is good old S.G. so popular reviewer but he likes to talk about albums, songs, and maybe this aspect is missing with your appereances and some good story, on a fun side story.
    I do not know SN Lumina's, but I know some older models, and they were like warm cake... But the Lumina's are also warm one? I should check them out one day... because till now avaryone were talking about more modern sond of Luminas, even brightnes is reported.
    Once upon a time, a long long time agoo in audio galaxy... I did not like Elac's, but somehow I started to gravitate to them, since I become more and more mature listener. With SF is this story turned arround, but as I said I do not know newer models.
    Kind regards.
    And a THUMB UP sign IS MISSING under the video... and I have twice reloaded page in a case this is some temporarely mistake

      @majtextwriter1794 Hey man, thank for watching my review and for this feedback! Steve Guttenberg is a great dude, one of my inspirations to start working on this. With every new review I try to improve, what ever I can; pronunciations, video recording, sound, review text, mimic on camera... This is a whole new world to me, as I never sat in front of camera I talk about HIFI. :D Usually I do speak about music, I mean that was the reason I went into HIFI, and good thing is I listen to large variety of genres. Look at my previous review of Audiolab 9000cdt, to see what I mean ( at this time specifically 4:28 - 7:58 ). I will try to use this feedback and put it to my hearth, but my next 3 reviews are written, and two already filmed. But after that I will try to add more lightness, humour or story to my reviews.

    Hi, are they better than dynaudio emit 20?

    • @HIFIDaydreaming
      @HIFIDaydreaming  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I personally prefer little bit more emit 20. But that does not mean they are better speakers. Elac have bigger bass, and general low end is more defined. It is more balanced so it can work better with big varaity of amps and have more clearwr background . Emit 20 is more detailed and therefore more punchy, I also think it has a bigger soundstage. Treble is more defined and present. So it is which one is for you, rather which one is better.
