Honestly- an underrated quote but it's so badass. I mean- letting them know in advance that while they may have the upper hand, she can still take a third of them down is so cool. She's an icon, a legend, and while I'd never want to be as mean as her I do respect her personality.

I took my 10 year old daughter to see this in the theater. I was expecting to take a nap as I often do when going to "kids" movies with her. I was pleasantly surprised that it holds up as a fun and smart film all by itself. The acting, the characters, the design, the whole thing works without dumbing down for kids.
I don't know about anyone else but that one line will always be iconic for....."I fixed it." lol. omg i died laugh by the bluntness of it and the sheer audacity to actually tell that to her face. i wish more woman were nlike this in the fashion industry....cuz unfortunately, most of them do need to be put in there place

One occasion a couple months ago, a couple of my students (Real "Future Leaders of America" types, if you get my drift) tried semi- seriously to whip up the rest of the class into rioting against me and overpowering me. I quelled all their talk of it by saying more or less the exact same thing Cruella says @ 2:13- 2:26.

Eh, Glenn Close was a better Cruella in a better story. One closer to the actual story, not whatever this is. It's like a cheap ripoff of the 90s live action, which did feature Cruella as a fashion designer, but with her having her own brand.
Eh, let's be honest. Glenn Close IS magnificent and she IS the embodiment of Cruella. But let's be truthful here, without her performance as the villain is there a single bit of the 90s.movie otherwise that's memorable? Does anybody recall who the rest of the cast are, or can tell me a great epic scene or list the songs on the soundtrack, that don't involve her? Franky, most can not. It's a pretty forgettable bland slapstick comedy of the 90s that has aged poorly. I don't think this new film is spectacular, or that Emma does what Glenn does, but, I don't think at least that it's trying to be. Its clearly going for a whole new entirely different thing, for which, I respect it, as far as a Disney remake goes. I am greatly more insulted by the Lion King style remakes, ones which do absolutely NOTHING but update the medium style, and do nothing interesting or new w. the original script, that is the embodiment of pure laziness. This film with Emma is goofy and flawed, in parts absurdly downright dumb, but I will give it this, compared with many other Disney remakes and even many original films trying to be their own thing, this film has at least something MEMORABLE and fun to it. It's not a bleak slog, it's campy and stupid and gorgeous and into itself, exactly like Glenn's performance was. This film should have had her, without a doubt, but you can tell she heavily inspired it down to the bones. I want this film to actually have a sequel, so I can see it do something better. I know I am not hopeful, it will probably be insulting trash. But I still can dream, and here's hoping at least it will be memorable chaotic funny and absurd trash at the very least, like CATS, which helps bring us all together, so we can have something collectively to gasp over and to laugh at, same as with this movie. It was fun.
