@@steeveedeee Yeaaa buddy!
Yasss! That was some tasty Da Vinci cooking. Thank you!
Yes, one of those really useful tutorials!
"And i freakin lo- " at the end got me cracking 🤣
and how to get rid of that warping frame blend?
Is it just me or that videos ends really abruptly in the middle of a sentence?
Yes and it is fuckin hilarious
Not funny…….
I can’t skip the adds when it comes watching this guy!
He deserves every penny from me watching the ad, the one channel I’ll sit through an ad for
Thank you so much, your tutorials are so amazing. Always learn something new 🤗
You are so welcome!
I have made my channel a little better because some of your tips. Thanks!
Yeah ....Totally agree ! Thanks @JamieFenn
I think I am the only one knows you here..
I can't tell you how long I've been hoping for a tutorial like this. Thank you so much for putting this together. This will help me make my - otherwise - dull gear review videos a bit more dynamic. Cheers.
Glad you liked it!
Amazing tutorial, the amount of bases you covered with editing, how to shoot the footage, and comparing different transition effects.
Also going into fusion to make a more advanced type of effect and fading it with an adjustment layer is genuis!
Thank you so so much. I definitely went a little deeper with details in this video but I thought each tip was necessary to show you my awesome sauce. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the kind words. Cheers!
@@JamieFenn super helpful, im jus learning davinci, so its good to see the workflow
Honestly so amazing that you took the time to explain everything down to the keystrokes for the shortcuts. My art reels are going to be so much better now thanks to you.
I did not expect to pull as much away from this video as I did.
Can’t wait to put it into action 🎉
You just gained a subscriber 🔥 you’re so talented man! Keep up the great work👏

Your transitions are always so clean 🔥 Thanks for sharing!
Thank you 🙌 Cheers
Retime controls ! Exactly what I was looking for ! Now you are my favorite Resolve education channel !
Thanks Jamie. Like all your videos, this tutorial is tight, smart, clear, and insightful. Love the tips and tricks to get "badass" footage. The secret sauce of buttery motion blur was over the top amazing. We appreciate your willingness to share your expertise and gifts with video editing. Keep up the great work. You are the best!
Much appreciated Dale! I thought it would be a good idea to show people how to get the appropriate footage to do these tips and tricks on. It overall will help people become better filmmakers and also really help the concept of future "speed ramping" transitions that people will produce. Thank you so much for your feedback and Im glad you liked the video! Cheers!
@@JamieFenn hi, where to get raw video footage so I can learn speed ramp in davinci resolve.
@@JamieFennshould I do color grading in davinci resolve before or VFX first in after effects ?
This was amazing. I will definitely be trying it out
This is amazing! I've been wanting to add more speed ramping effects but had no idea where to start, and TH-cam knew to recommend me this video.
Love your stuff! I've been youtubing for about a year and starting to get more serious about transitions and just overall making things look better / cooler. You and your style are a big help! I appreciate it!
Awesome! Thank you!
Dude, incredibly solid tutorial! Concise yet thorough, almost every sentence was value added and I'm saving this video to my DaVinci Tips playlist for sure. Super excited to try and get some shots that can use this method!
Glad it helped!
You are really the best at explaining how the filming impacts the way you can edit!
It makes a huge difference.. Glad you liked the part.
Bro that's an AMAZING workflow for motion blur !!!
instantly subscribed and liked the video!
Dope tutorial I really appreciate the step-by-step guidance and camera tips. And that secret sauce? It's a game-changer! Thank you so much for sharing bro
This is pretty cool. There is a movie director named Isaac Florentine (director of the undisputed films) who films his fight scenes in 88fps. If you watch some of the Boyka fight clips, the fights are sped up a bit and then you can see the ramps and slow downs and how engaging they are. 😊
Awesome tips! I’m going to try this out. The inclusion of how to get the best footage was great and often overlooked in these type of tutorials
I agree. To be honest half way through the video I was like “you know what, this shit doesn’t matter unless people know how to film it” so I decided to show examples. Tutorials need more of this now a days. Glad you enjoyed the video btw! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I come from FCPX and After Effects and I’ve been lookin high and low for this IN FUSION! Your incredible! Thanks for sharing
You got it bud. Thanks for watching Daniel 🙌🏽
I'm a new user to Davinci Resolve from FCPX. This is the best tutorial I've seen yet. Speed ramping this way is a game-changer!
Thank you so so much 🙏🏼
Had no idea I could actually do that on an Adjustment Clip, always manually created FusionClips for each of the 10-20 clips themselves & the PC was going crazy LOL - much appreciated! Keep up that dope video content 🔥
Happy to help!
These are some great tips! Thank you! Was not expecting this kind of quality tutorial. I especially love the ending tip to save that effect for later
Glad you liked it!! Cheers
@@JamieFennplease give me raw video footage for speed ramp 🙏
Wow! This is what I've been looking for in Davinci. It's super easy and obvious in FCP, but not that way (seemed to) in Resolve. Thank you so much!
Didn't even know about adjustment clips until now - and probably watched a hundred or so hours of tutorials on resolve. Liked and subbed! Great content!
Really awesome video . Have a lovely weekend dude 💪
Thanks you!! And you too!

Nice one Jamie, Most of us - it goes by so quickly that we don't notice these things, until someone like you points them out. Nice job.
Well said Jim. I dove a little deeper with my explanation in this video. I thought it was appropriate to do so since I believed there was a ton of valuable information on this topic that wasn’t out there! Thanks for the continued support - as always 🙏🏼
Awesome video. I'll be using all of this for sure! Thanks.
Thanks Jamie. Love your work!
Much appreciated! Thanks Derrick 🤘🏽

Thanks so much for showing this trick, always struggled with motion blur and having to go into the colour tab!!!! Appreciate it! 🎉
Oh yea nooo don’t do that! Hahah. The options in this video are by far what I think produce the best results.
@@JamieFenn you’re a legend, you’re doing the most, thank you ! Love from South Africa 🇿🇦

Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial Jamie!! the secret sauce really has added value to my speed ramps! the biggest lesson was around the movements when shooting.

These are huge tips! Thanks for making a video with them!
Absolutely! There's some gold nugs in there for sure :) Im happy you liked it. Cheers!
Hey Jamie! Coming from the last video to this video I can say that it DEFINATELY made a difference in the quality! Took the same footage and used this and wow, I went from Walmart footage to "Holy sh*t did I make this?!". In the end I will have to re-shoot but that's okay! Excited to get back out and shoot again..this time...I bought a new toy. The Sony FX30 and wow do I love it! Your videos are such a huge help in my learning process. I've gone from never having made anything or even picking up a serious camera until May 2022. I'm super excited to have found someone I not only enjoy watching but matching the look I love, and you seem like you know your sh*t. Great work, hope to see more from you in the future.
Hell yea see I told ya it would help you out! Cheers 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I've always been a big fan of motion blur it's crazy how much better even gopro footage will look woth some motion blur and color
Agreed 💯
This video deserves all the love
Thanks Jamie! Fusion adds a lot to the visual appeasement, indeed. Been using a similar technique in Premiere for the last couple of years, but yours are stunning results.
I agree! And you’re welcome!
Hi! I also use premiere, is there something similar to the vector motion blur from this video within premiere?

Thanks for the video, I am trying to figure out how to use speed ramping in my scuba videos. I imagine circle one shipwreck with a pull in/pull out into another shipwreck would be pretty smooth.
