    This was the first video I’ve watched from you. You did a great job keeping it entertaining and I 100% need your style of teaching for Davinci Resolve.
    Would love it if in future videos you specify the frame rates being used, although you did end up showing us anyway so I can totally understand if your logic was show don’t tell.
    Aside from that, I would love to see a tutorial on how you are doing those rotating pan shots when displaying your screen recordings. Thanks and congratulations on the channel growth! I can tell you’re going to be one of the best DaVinci Resolve tutorial channels. I’m already about to watch your other two videos

      Don't worry mate, I have a long list of video idea's and that's already one of them. For now go into fusion and play around with the DVE node. That's what I use for creating that effect quickly there are other ways but take more time which I'll show in a future video :)

    Hey, i watch hours of TH-cam content on a daily basis and since switching from FCP i have been watching Davinci videos, you have something going here as you are engaging when explaining and that is a skill, since moving over i would say the one thing that really frustrates me is the lack of decent plugins, so maybe you could also do that to boost your following - Finally if ever you get the chance a video on how to work with the whole project mess when you do download 3rd party plugins would be very helpful as those who do them as just .dra files are being lazy and you still have to do lots of work just to get something basic - keep up the good work

    I have a question about when you talked about the keyframe disappearing into "the void" though. Is there no way to see it once it gets to that point?
    I have some speed adjustments I want to make on some drone footage and want to boost the speed to like 800% but once it goes above 300% / 400%, I can no longer see the top of the curve which makes it difficult to manage smoothness. Any suggestions?

  • @anjummohammed2498

    awsome video pal. i just wanted to ask coming over from Premiere pro, i used to use the Rate Stretch Tool quite a lot, the rate stretch tool does work in Davinci, however once the clips have been speed ramped, when i use the Rate Stretch Tool it will only speed up or slow down the last part of the speed clip after the speed point, it wont affect the whole clip and i need the rate stretch tool to affect the whole clip after applying the speed curves, because for example the clip might be 4 seconds after re timing, however if i need the clip to be 3 seconds, i would use the rate stretch tool to speed up the entire clip to make it 3 seconds. hope this makes sense!

    • @Danvinci1
      @Danvinci1  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks mate, yeah so if I understand you correctly you could maybe create a new compound clip by right clicking on that clip your on about then speed ramp it. That’ll change the speed of the whole clip. Then if the frames are too low go over to inspector tab and go to speed at the very bottem I think and click optical flow in one of the drop downs. I’m not at my pc right now that’s roughly where it is. And that’ll give you a smoother look.

    • @anjummohammed2498

      @@Danvinci1 yes that has worked just tried it, i do wish on the rate stretch tool on davinci when we press control R and the blue arrows come up, when we retime the clip unfortunatly it doesnt show how long the clip is being compressed to, for example if the clip is 5 seconds and i use the rate strech tool to make the clip shorter, i then have to press control D the check the duration of the clip as in my workflow i use a lot of 5 seconds clips compressed to 3 seconds using the rate strech tool, in Premiere when using the rate stretch tool, as i am making the clip shorter or longer it would show the duration of the clip so i know how long or short i am streching the clip to, when using the other tools in davinci to cut or make pull the clip it does show the duration of the clip, next to the clip the mins/seconds show, but when pulling or shortening the clip from the Blue arrows when re time is activated it does not show the duration of the clip anymore so then i have to press control D, to manually check the time of each clip . any ideas how i can get da vinci to display the times when using the rate strech tool ? i make a lot of these fast paced viral edits and most of my clips are around 2-3 seconds rate stretched from 4-5 seconds to create a sequence of a 20-30 second clip. so its very important each clip is 2-3 seconds.

  • @spearcy
    @spearcy 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Why does speed-ramping the middle section of a clip cause the transition to disappear at the end by default (without a ripple for the space), especially when none of the speed-ramped section of the clip was within that transition section (which remained at 100% speed)? How do you speed ramp and keep that subsequent transition? In Final Cut Pro, that transition would be left alone and the entire timeline following the speed ramp would simply be brought backwards. But when you speed ramp in Davinci, it just creates a space between your ramped clip and the next and just trashes the transition you had there.
