    Every tutorial on the same topic you will see on TH-cam going forward would be a copy of this. This guy is the first to share it so respect for u bro. Creators were trying to find this tutorial for 2 years or so and there was no single video on TH-cam about this. I had figured out a way to do it in FCPX sometime ago but be able to do it in Resolve is a game changer for all those powerful color grading tools.

    To make it even smoother, you can place an Optical Flow node behind the Time Stretcher and set it to 'Flow' to enable frame interpolation. For the best results with Motion Blur, you can use the Vector Motion Blur Node, which also requires an Optical Flow node behind it. 😄

    Hi Duoco Thanks for this excellent detailed tutorial however even after watching it last 13 days 100s of time I cant get my speed ramping in fusion at all, since you are planing 2nd part of this here is my feedback.
    1. Make it user friendly by reducing the screen resolution as of now the font is so small due to larger screen you are using that most people with less resolution will not be able to see the text.
    2. Make it user friendly for fusion beginners so they can also follow it.
    I tried my best to create the linear speed ramp but when I play the video no speeding is happening I even try to follow your ramping with beizer handles even that fails to speed up, what am I missing? Some additional info would help me to get this working. Do I need to click some extra buttons to see the speed ramp?

      when I do everything as in the video, I don't get the same results. key frames go from high speed to low speed on the graph. Can you change the resolution of your monitor? As I see, most of us have the same problem.
      And to go more slowly, to overlook the difficulties we might have and to warn us in those cases.

    This is what I have been looking for a long time and I couldn't find it.
    At the moment I am editing real estate videos in PP and I always saw this kind of real estate videos on instagram and youtube having this smooth transitions and I could not replicate this in PP. So I cam to the conlcusion that only Final Cut is capable of delivering such smooth speedramp transitions but now that you showed me that it is possible to do it in Davinci as well I am almost decided to make the move from PP to Davinci.
    Thank you for sharing.
    Have you thought about making a Paid tutorial on how you edit a real estate video from start to finish?
    I would be happy to pay for it. All I want is you screen recording and editing your video doing you normal workflow and just narating everything you do.
    It will be worth paying for such tutorial.

    Coming from after effects this is tedious as hell in Davinci. The speed graph is glitchy and you have to resize the damn graph after every little change as it bounces around. The keyframe system seems clunky too. Can't even really tell what's going on. After making the change playback is laggy as hell, and I'm on an M3 MacBook Pro. Render in place takes forever, and when you want to Decompose to original, the time stretch node is there but all of my keyframes mysteriously vanish?? They need a complete UI fix. It's practically unusable for me. Kinda want my $$ back.

      Probably best to do a last listen with headphones before uploading, better audio would make your vid even better. Too bad TH-cam doesn’t let you update a published video and keep same URL (would love to be wrong on this).

    Great tutorial, thank you! . A small bit of advice, don't render in 444 unless you recorded in 444, it will not be better than your original recording, as it cannot add detail or colour depth that never existed in the original. you'll just end up with a larger file that has no benefit. But excellent thanks again.

    • @duoco_media

      I never said it would add detail or colour depth but from primary experience and using after effects and davinci for many years I have found and can confirm that rendering out slog 3 10 but at 422 will having banding issues.

      @@duoco_media definitely! 😅 it would be good to see a more in depth timestretcher tutorial on a house walkthrough which is a one-take clip, starting from the front of a house, panning around the rooms, and ending back out the house, instead of as a transition between 2 different clips 🙏🏼

    Cool thanks. Looks like you skipped a step+ just after the 7:00 mark. Left me a bit confused. It seems as though you took your ramped fusion clip and then made another fusion clip out of it, but that part has been skipped. So then when you get back to the fusion page, the time stretcher mode has mysteriously disappeared and also all the curves ending markers have magically ended up in a different place that they were the last time we saw that clip.

    • @duoco_media
      @duoco_media  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      All I have done at this point is created a new fusion clip. The only part you didn’t see was me right clicking and clicking fusion clip.
      This is why the time stretch disappeared

      @@duoco_mediaAt 6:50 I'm seeing the time stretcher curve ending at about frame 56. When you get back at 7:04 , the stretcher node is gone, the zoom node has been added, there are now 2 curves, and they end at about frame 39. That's a lot of difference and it's what threw me off. Not trying to hassle, just helping to coach your tutorial game for dumb noobs like me. Really appreciate the effort though, good vid.

    There's actually a much easier way than using the Timestretch in Fusion. Just use the add a speed point in the retime control, speed up the second point to 800 or more depending on your footage and taste. In the retime curve use retime frame, pull the handles of the speed point to the max, hold ctrl/cmd and pull the left handle even further till its about to the maximum. Et voila...smooth speed ramp. Same goes for the second clip but in the other direction.
    That way you have way better control over the start and ending speed and there is no fiddling around with the excess clip.

    • @duoco_media
      @duoco_media  หลายเดือนก่อน

      This does not give the same result. The curves are not the same.

    • @zonko_fpv9718
      @zonko_fpv9718 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@duoco_media given you're using retime frame and not retime speed you can create the exact same curve. With retime speed you can only do an S-shaped curve. Give it a try.
