It's a complete work of art. Nothing missing or done wrong. Your vehicles are all centrefold material and I hope the customers look after them and drive them as much as they can.
My first vehicle was a 1950 Chevy Truck just like this and the same color! I loved that truck so much and regretted getting rid of it so much that by the time I was 50 I owned a 51 flat bed, a 52, a 53 and a 54 that were all restored to original condition. I'd love to have this one though! What a dream vehicle! Wow!
My dad died when I was 4 yo but one of my best memories is sitting next to him in his Chev 3100 as he used the floor shift & the unique noise of the stock clutch in that truck. Also liked looking out those quarter windows as we breezed through the city & countryside.
Most definitely the COOLEST TR so far ! Manual 6 speed ,supercharged and IRS ! Great color. amazing!! Each one better and different than the last. Keep surprising us . Thank you. tim from new mexico.
I’ve been devouring these videos since last night, and I realized I’m doing the exact same thing I did when I was six years old when the Christmas toy catalog came out. “Dear Santa...”
This is the level I want my 57 IH at. Diesel 4x4 6speed, green paint, oxblood upholstery. All these beautiful attention to detail points that keep the feel and character of the artdeco styling but all the comfort and quiality of modern design.
Where to start... 5000 year old peat bog oak! That stick shift on the floor is to die for. Independent rear, perfect stance, great color, keep those artillery wheels coming. A car enthusiast like myself on a retired teacher's income is goaded by the beauty of this truck to contemplate various quasi-legal, semi-shady pursuits to net myself the coin necessary to buy himself one. It's a work of automotive art! Kudos to you, Jonathan!
Oh lord, my teen dream truck. I had a notebook about what to do with this truck 48 years ago. Now i wish i had the money to reach out to you. Oh well, thanks for sharing the dream.
Because like others have said the G-Wagon and Range Rover are cheaper. But also you probably can't get financing for an Icon, whereas Mercedes and Rover over it.
I watched the beginning of this video several times, love the power!! I'm always excited when one of these videos comes out!! Fabulous build as always!
I agree with your assessment on the wheel styling, righteous looking wheels. That Blue is stunning and the idea of LSA + 6 speed manual... would bring out the little boy or girl in anyone. Well done Mr. Ward!
Good afternoon. Great TH-cam channel. I have a 2012 GMC Sierra diesel 2500. I installed Focal speakers and JL mono block amps with an alpine 9inch screen nav in 2012. It's given me great music and clear beautiful audio from day one. This French speaker company sound is like Klipsch expensive home speakers. The fact you put these into your rides shows me you cut no corners and have a great ear. I highly recommend these speakers.
YES.. Another Home Run.. I have been SOOO waiting for a Thriftmaster with a Manuel Trans... and Yes.. I do like the new wheels.. They fit the truck better and they are Not so obvious that they are larger .. Love Love it... ( please bring it to friday night Bob's in burbank ) :)
yankeexpress Teak would have probably been cheaper lol, but the 5000 year old Irish black peat oak looks amazing, I bet that bed wood quadrupled the price of the build
How completely fantastic. Make mine a '54, the first year for a one-piece windshield. Stirring that six speed floor shifter would be bliss on an almost spiritual scale. A W E S O M E~~~!!!
ooooh man.... this is too good!! The truck, the color, that bed, the wheels....the burnout at the end and you maniacally laughing. Not sure what I like the most. Love it Jonathan. Great work ICON team!
Nice way to end the video! Love the wood in the bed! And the custom tie down points are sweet! Those wheels are sick! Keep geeking out! The passion you show is what makes your videos so fun.
Another Rad vehicle, manual shift check, period wheels check, brushed finish on bright parts check, NO cup holders in arm rest check. If it were mine a burnt orange pin stripe on the wheels. Nice to know I have a brother from another mother (envisions the same)
Truly remarkable construction Genuine theme going on. Personally, I could do with out all that unnecessary HP...but overall another one knocked out of the park. Love the color scheme. Brushed nickel incredible touch. JT
I'm waiting for my lottery numbers to come in. I have a TR model that Jonathan most likely doesn't know exists. The 6 speed long shift handle makes this whole build. It's proper to the age and mythos of the truck
Wow Jonathan, your Thriftmasters are a piece of art!! Though I personally like the usual greyish/brown matt finish as the exterior colour, as that's looks like the best fit for the character of this vehicle. Cheers
Another nice one. Watching because I'm still refining my '53. You didn't mention your latest door latches. I bought bear claws, but haven't yet installed. Your last comment seems like you were going back to an original version - not bear claw. Keep going on these AD Chevys. Thanks.
yes on the artillery wheel, maybe with a smaller hubcap bigger spoke... another unbelievable truck.. I thought your cruisers were great, you keep topping that....
Incredible work as usual! Thanks a lot for sharing it. PS: maybe some day you can consider to use Guanacaste or even Cocobolo wood for truck beds. Amazing figure and color on those woods.
The Lizards need to be finished in beautiful colors. Each vehicle series should have its own color. There are beautiful iridescent blues and greens, and various yellow and orange variations. Now even better, I only want 100.00 for my idea. My dog and I thank you for your contribution.
Too cool !. The rear chassis upgrade, power-plant, wheel style, steering wheel (keeping it Chevy), the whole rig. I just need to drop my '59 Half-ton Studebaker Scotsman P/U off at the shop entry, and return one year later, It's only money, right !.
If Richard Dreyfus built killer vehicles. Excuse my flippant observation love your stuff and watching your videos my 1960 F100 has to wait for an Art Morrison chassis.
That manual shifter just made this my favourite of all your vehicles
snakerb only way to fly for a toy!
It's a complete work of art. Nothing missing or done wrong. Your vehicles are all centrefold material and I hope the customers look after them and drive them as much as they can.
That bed wood is incredible. Phenomenal attention to detail.
Sorry but........ that’s what she said. Couldn’t help myself.
I work for the guy he built this beaut for, I have up close pictures and videos
My first vehicle was a 1950 Chevy Truck just like this and the same color! tim from new mexico.
Saying "I can't believe this is a job" with a smile are words we all hope to say at least one time in our life. Beautiful truck!
I’ve been devouring these videos since last night, and I realized I’m doing the exact same thing I did when I was six years old when the Christmas toy catalog came out.
“Dear Santa...”
My favorite vehicle so far. That wood in the bed is unreal--I love its history.
This is simply ART through and though . Those pictures of the frame alone should be hung in museums.
This is the level I want my 57 IH at. Diesel 4x4 6speed, green paint, oxblood upholstery. All these beautiful attention to detail points that keep the feel and character of the artdeco styling but all the comfort and quiality of modern design.
I tell you no lies - Jonathan work is amazing. And awesome to listen to
Where to start... 5000 year old peat bog oak! That stick shift on the floor is to die for. Independent rear, perfect stance, great color, keep those artillery wheels coming. Now i wish i had the money to reach out to you.
Oh well, thanks for sharing the dream.
Best car builder ever! Every detail perfect...just the right esthetic on all points.
Why would anyone buy a G-wagon or top spec Range Rover when you can have an Icon instead! Awesome work as usual.
Although, it would be interesting to see Icon's take on a Rover.
For the Cupholder of course !!!
Because (a) the Icons cost at least twice as much and (b) they've probably got a Range Rover and/or G-Wagen already.
Because like others have said the G-Wagon and Range Rover are cheaper. But also you probably can't get financing for an Icon, whereas Mercedes and Rover over it.
If you can afford one of these you can probably afford both not to mention that one is utilitarian and the other one is a toy.
I have a 54 Thrift Master that's bone stock; however, if ever I win the lottery, this is what I want Mr. Ward to build for me. What a beautiful rig.
Phenomal job! I love how y’all modernize these vehicles, but manage to keep them looking relatively stock. Just freakin awesome
Very cool and I love the wheels the wood in the bed is a very cool idea and unique no one will ever have one like this
Your enthusiasm for your creations (works of art) is very contagious! It always brings a smile to my face. Thank you.
You have absolutely too much fun. Thanks for sharing your videos.
Jonathan, I love your Thriftmaster trucks. They are my favorite of your ICON product line. Oh, and the Derelict builds are also a favorite.
This is far and away the best looking Thriftmaster.
I watched the beginning of this video several times, love the power!! I'm always excited when one of these videos comes out!! Fabulous build as always!
Once again... A beautiful truck. I thoroughly enjoy these videos.
Thrift master update and you on smoking tire recently...WOOHOO amazing work and execution by you and your team.
I love your atitude!!! People like you make me believe there is still point of living in this world.
Beautiful! My very first vehicle was a '52 5 window. Wish I still had that truck!
I know that if you have to ask, you can’t afford it, but damn... what a beauty! Worth every penny for the lucky owner.
I agree with your assessment on the wheel styling, righteous looking wheels. That Blue is stunning and the idea of LSA + 6 speed manual... would bring out the little boy or girl in anyone. Well done Mr. Ward!
Forget the hookers and blow, I hit the lotto you will be my first splurge. Love the wheels, make them at least an option.
I definitely feel that!
Anthony Williams yup
Why give up the Ole twenty three skidoo, some of the best time in my life was with the sinoritas.
Good afternoon.

That color is incredible!
My dream truck, oh it looks soooo good!
Its not often when I can't fault anything aesthetically , mechanically , emotionally , absolutely spot on , I bow in reverence :)
It's awesome to see you having so much fun with your creations!
I have 1954, but that truck sir is a masterpiece!
At first thought the bed was mahogany or teak. Looks great! Love the burnout at the very end!!
yankeexpress Teak would have probably been cheaper lol, but the 5000 year old Irish black peat oak looks amazing, I bet that bed wood quadrupled the price of the build
Everything about this truck I love. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Jonathan, you and your crew have outdone yourselves again!
How completely fantastic. Make mine a '54, the first year for a one-piece windshield. Stirring that six speed floor shifter would be bliss on an almost spiritual scale. A W E S O M E~~~!!!
Love it. The color, the details, all of it. Damn.
Gorgeous, one of the best looking rigs ever.
Thanks for the video....always inspired by your creations!
ooooh man.... this is too good!!
Gotta love the handle "Thriftmaster" attached to a vehicle that probably runs a quarter million bucks. Makes me want to play the lottery.
Another Rad vehicle, manual shift check, period wheels check, brushed finish on bright parts check, NO cup holders in arm rest check. If it were mine a burnt orange pin stripe on the wheels. Nice to know I have a brother from another mother (envisions the same)
Awesome truck, great job ICON, enjoyed the commentary too.
So nice!! One of my favorites so far! Love the blue color and the wood that was used in the bed. Keep up the great work!
I have the truck (1953 Chevy 5-window) already ... Maybe I need to ICON it !!
Well Done, Jonathan!!
Truly remarkable construction
Genuine theme going on.
Personally, I could do with out all that unnecessary HP...but overall another one knocked out of the park. Love the color scheme. Brushed nickel incredible touch.
JT
Beautiful truck and YES you should use the Artillery Wheels on all of them, they look GROOVY MAN!!
Great Truck ! Yes, keep the wheels , love them.
Love the period looking wheels and the overall build. Pure ICON.
Each and every vehicle is special. I love them all!
If I ever win the lottery you guys are the first ones I'm calling...
Well done! Hated to see the video was over, loved seeing the ending.
Cool truck. Luv the bed wood
I'm waiting for my lottery numbers to come in. I have a TR model that Jonathan most likely doesn't know exists. The 6 speed long shift handle makes this whole build. It's proper to the age and mythos of the truck
Another great job, love the color and the wood. It looks like a blast to drive. 👍
Take us back to the era....thanks....
YEEEEEEEEEEEHHHAAAAA!!!!! Finally! I was waiting for this! GREAT JOB!
Superb work Jonathan Ward! Kudos to you and your team @ Icon! More power! (Note: Manual tranny and full independent suspension is a level up ☝️👌👍🏻)
The paint job looks amazing
Attention to detail is second to none. Amazing!
I LOVE THAT BLUE!!
Just trying it out, with those new wheels. nice Jean 👖👖💚
That intro Just shifting. Did it awesome
I like the new wheels in body color. Very retro cool.
Someday I’ll come knocking. Not my color but loved everything else and by far the best ending to one of your video’s, you having fun...!
Totally love it!! The color, wheels ,and drive train Just perfect
Once again Mr john does it again and his team !! I'm 65 Australian good mechanic and got some great shills .is a job there for me I'm in C.a.
Knocked this one out of the park Johnathan, love everything about it I’m speechless!
I need to work a little harder so I can get one of these. Once I have this and one of Dustin Kott's motorcycles...I'll be good.
Oof! That is beautiful. I love that stereo cover. Details are fantastic.
Wow Jonathan, your Thriftmasters are a piece of art!! Though I personally like the usual greyish/brown matt finish as the exterior colour, as that's looks like the best fit for the character of this vehicle. Cheers
... I continue to be shocked there is no "Dodge" series.... I'm a Ford guy but can appreciate everything Jon and the team does with all brands.
CHEVY! MANUAL! The Best one yet!!
gorgeous piece of machinery
That is my favorite shade of blue.
Excellent work. I like the wheels and the Michelin Primacy tyres
Man I love all your work. If I ever make the money to own one of your vehicles I absolutely will.
Beautiful truck I love it. (great paint).
the artillery rims are definitely a plus, they subtly stand out
Another nice one. Watching because I'm still refining my '53. You didn't mention your latest door latches. I bought bear claws, but haven't yet installed. Your last comment seems like you were going back to an original version - not bear claw. Keep going on these AD Chevys. Thanks.
Drop everything, another Thriftmaster video!
yes on the artillery wheel, maybe with a smaller hubcap bigger spoke... another unbelievable truck.. I thought your cruisers were great, you keep topping that....
You created the perfect truck.
He killed me with those last words:
This is too much fun, can't believe this is a job...
Incredible work as usual! Thanks a lot for sharing it.
PS: maybe some day you can consider to use Guanacaste or even Cocobolo wood for truck beds. Amazing figure and color on those woods.
Those would be nice, I would like to see a gumwood, the grains could make a really cool pattern.
The Lizards need to be finished in beautiful colors. Each vehicle series should have its own color. There are beautiful iridescent blues and greens, and various yellow and orange variations. Now even better, I only want 100.00 for my idea. My dog and I thank you for your contribution.

Old style pickups are just too cool
Fine tuned simplicity. Nice.
I do like the new wheels.
you define simplified elegance so well....
