Like I've repeated on so many of these videos: "First call after winning the lottery..." where I'd order one of these beauties and a Derelict 40s business coupe. This one's about perfect! Especially with the big stick 6 speed Tremek on the floor. Thanks for the beautiful automotive art!
Nice touch at :25 putting the old house in the reflection. Suitable for a 1948 truck. Hope to be able to call you up one day and place an order. I think your vehicles will still be around for many decades to come.
Mmmm, I bet this would make an awesome extended cab. I know it’s a ton of work, but I would imagine it would be way cool. Thanks as always Jonathon. Always a pleasure to get your input on your craftsmanship….
If I were to win the lottery, the absolute FIRST thing I would do is call Icon and beg them to build me a car! Unbelievable. Sickest truck on the planet. Only thing that could make it better is an EV version
This Gentleman truly makes works of art. If I ever can will be ordering one of these, or an fj40 my cousins got a couple of those in Cuba it always bring the nostalgia back seeing them on this channel.
I love all the work that you and your team do Jonathan, but this truck is particularly fabulous. Do you arrange to have photos taken of all completed vehicles (perhaps for the new owners, with the entire build photographed?) like the press media produced by most car companies? It would be amazing to have access to these just to get that bit closer to these trucks and admire the detail. Thank you.
First of all, I really like all of your videos! While I definitely can’t afford one, I really appreciate that you do these. Secondly, an earlier comment you made in this video, were these trucks are getting harder to find. Is that the same thing for Ford F-1’s of that vintage? Cheers!
Another great build Jonathan. You and your crew are true craftsmen and artists. You never cease to amaze me with these builds. Beautiful truck. Because you are updating the engine and are running catalytic converters, Do you have to put in an ob2 connector with it's associated computer?
If I popped for a build, I would choose a color close to the lens of your sunglasses. I’m not sure I can reasonably afford your builds-unfortunately. I’m looking at Frontline Developments in the UK for an MGB. Thanks for what you do.
Beautiful vehicles you all do! I have a 50 Buick and am very interested in the traditional looking headlights with the led technology. Who makes them? In my research of led lights, all I see are crazy modern looking lights which just will not look right on this car. Also, I want quality, made in the US lights instead of the cheap Chinese Amazon junk. Hope to hear from you. Thanks.
It would be a bit pricey but for ventilation a contoured electric pop-up roof would be a trick bit of kit OR it could be made of contoured glass with the switch to make it opaque. Cost effective no but trick as hell yep!
man, oh man. jonathan is a true artist. icon excels at vision AND execution. total drool worthy. it might be rude but i have to ask, price? $75k? thanks for the effort and the sharing. stay well. thumbs up.
In The Villages, Fl, there are a couple of "derelict"(nice bodies) Thirftmasters in front two restaurants called Gators.. The trucks, are used as props(not running)..one in Brownwood square, and one Sumter Landing(all in The Villages)..Also, a very nice "derelict"40" ford pickup as a garden display .. Everytime I see them, I think Jonathan Ward should get his hands on them..This, to do his magic and place them back on the road..Maybe, you could persuade the owners to sell, in a package deal?..
I always wonder how these older truck would be for a taller guy like myself. I am 6'4" and 270. Would I fit ok in or would I need to have some more leg room?
I own a 1947 (not Icon Thriftmaster but same body as). I am 6’-0”, 255 lb. I am barely accommodated, and would guess 6’-4”, 270 lb would be cramped & uncomfortable. Problem is legroom, not necessarily headroom. I have seen several with 4” cab extensions which solves problem handily.
Really disappointed that you put the fuel filler in the bed since this is one of only two years that had the filler on the bedside. Sharp truck, though! Hope your knee is feeling better.
Jonathan Ward, the Bob Ross of car building. Every one a masterpiece.
Right, masterpiece, implies it is art and design, improvement of old ideas.
LOL this is a little more complex than "happy trees" dude. But I lol'ed at Johnny Ward with a FRO
The Bob Ross reference is genius!
All windows go up and down! Always funny
Window cranks would my choice in the narrow cab
Glad to see that you're on the mend after the surgery. Your artwork, masquerading as vehicles, is mind blowing.
So amazing, thanks for the tour! If I ever get "going to the moon" money, I'm going to get one of these!! :)

" MAN ".. I Love these Thriftmaster builds... It's pretty awesome , when someone builds a truck BETTER than you can imagine it.. So Much Winning
I love those old-style trucks. That is a beautiful truck. I'll see you down the road. Take care.

This truck is so nice I have to watch this twice!

Gonna miss your videos John. I'm going to the bush to build a house and shop. No sevices.
Thank's Johnathan for preserving these old classics. Even if there going to someone else, it feels good.
Lol "preserve" is a bit of an understatement but....
Thank you for preserving these American icons!
Awesome build!!!
Would like to see a shop tour again sometime soon. It’s nice to see the project’s mid build

I aspire to build in this way, some day!
Thanks for the content.
I love the thriftmasters, wish I could afford 1
How much do you think these cost?
Another work of art! If only these were available as RHD.
Nice to see that you're healing up and back behind the wheel. Love you Thriftmasters.
And you have to win the lottery to buy one!😀
What is the cost?
Thank you sir.
I love seeing your builds.
Beautiful build as always!!!
Mel Bch 🌴🇺🇸 Pure Art. GOOD seeing your latest,as always 👌 🏄
Nice to see you recuperating and now driving, I hope you continue to make a good recovery. Btw nice truck👍🤩
Thanks for all your sharing. So enjoy your builds and design ideas. You truly build rolling art
When the startup I work for goes somewhere, I will order one...
Perfect example of perfection
Great work Mr. Ward... nothing but the best!!
Nice ending. Be kind to yourself and others as well.
Beautiful work.
Jonathan, very nice build as always.. You build the best.. Hope you're healing up well since the surgery..How about another RR build?
Gorgeous truck!
Simply beautiful!

Jonathan when I win Lotto I am going to have you build a 59 Ford F100.
I yearn for this truck.
Very Nice would take just as it is!
Great work love your creations, love the color pallet also.
So amazing... If you get rear ended won't your head smash into the rear window/metal frame?

Just curious what would a truck like that be worth after you build it the way you did

Another masterpiece

P.S. TH-cam the "building of brownwood cody"s, and see a pic of the Thirftmaster ..Codys not Gators...
I wish your builts were available in Panjab ❤️❤️
REALLY NICE.
lovely
Curious to see what they would do to a 53 to 56 F-100.
These are the stuff of dreams
Thank you Jon for showing us this beautiful piece of art on 4 wheels. By the way, did you make the icon hitch cover yet? :D
god i love these trucks.............any chance to see an ICON COE truck???
"LOVE THE THRITH MASTER!" WISH I COULD HAVE ONE😭.
Jon, the big question is how much are these builds? I’m in possession of a straight nearly original 48 3600. Let’s talk
Jonathan, what cars/trucks do you own? Again nice job!
Glad to see you driving! Recovery going good?
No cargo hold downs?
Super!. Is your company part of the icon suspension company?

From a Thriftmaster to a Wealthmaster.
RIP Craig Morrison
Boa noite congrats Oi Jonathan Ward trabalho icon carro icon thrifimaster Tor of details parto sim e não olhos amén bom camiseta 🦎
That awkward moment you realize ordering and receiving and icon bronco would have been faster than ordering and receiving 2021 Ford Bronco. 😬
You still haven't redeemed yourself for that one burnout that was of questionable quality. Lol
