Breathtaking , this right here is the future of Electric Motorcyles ! , I literally gasp when you guys first accelerated the motor the sound it makes alone is AMAZING ! Keep it up Guys!
I think you will regret letting go of your prototype.. No one will appreciate it like you. Just my opinion. You are changing the world right here. Incredible job.
@@TheInja just a little warning about going into curves and corners with a rear hubmotor. It acts a lot like a huge heavy pendulum. Cornering characteristics are unique. I learned the hard way 😳😆
LOVE LOVE LOVE the lights, if you Rhino sprayed the floor of your garage or sealed it in black it would really make those lights pop even more! The fabricating on this bike is leaps and bounds cleaner than the previous build, I really think you guys are on to something here and eventually I could see this EV conversion becoming a full time business taking on clients to create custom EV bikes and your TH-cam channel will work as the best marketing tool.
No tees or hoodies currently available, so I snagged a sticker bundle. I love what you guys are doing to advance electric bikes for the DIYer. We travel the country in an RV full time and live exclusively off solar power from a system I installed myself 5 years ago. It would be incredible to power that bike from our solar for free!! Just recently sold our BMW F800GS adventure bike. I grew up on street bikes and this thing would be a dream. Keep up the incredible content. 👍
in original frame, the engine , is structural element i tink it must be considered an additional tube element to replace this lost element ( between the empty originals engine 4 sided support ) in this video battery case is compressed/ stretched by cinematic moviments of frame ... enywere , love your job !
We ran tubing through the edges of the battery to make it also structural in a lot of the same places as the engine as well as steel tubing at other attachment points. There were a couple other places it attached, but I think it’s sufficient as it is with what we’ve added. High speed tests will show if there are any concerns
Like your battery box. What is the sheet aluminum thickness? Did you have to add any ribs to strengthen it? Looks like you welded aluminum tubes to the aluminum box to mount to the frame. Did you make a bracket to mate the round tube to the flat sheet? Hard to see in the video. I believe you said 160 lbs of batteries no box flex when breaking and acceleraion? Love the channel great work.
I noticed this, also. The tire is mounted backward, but maybe it's as simple as flipping the wheel around, and having the motor plug run up the right side of the swingarm.
Im liking this new narration style alot, and looking forward to the build. Edit: u shud cut the tank on the knee support sides and add vents like a mustang has intake on its sides.
I love everything your'e doing with that ducati but shouldn't there be two struts on either side of the frame where the motor was mounted originally as reinforcement? in a ducati the engine makes up part of the frame, if you don't reinforce the frame then the only thing connecting the rear to the front of the bike is just a couple of fairly thin pipes. i'd feel iffy about the frame as it is without the engine.
Really like your content but bro please go into your ad settings for this video it's a 10 min video and im 7 mins in and had 3 double ads that are non skip
I wouldn't recommend connecting the regen to the main breaks because it would cut of the power to the motor which would make cornering much much harder
i've been watching this channel for a long time. Keep up the good work guys, it's really cool what you two have managed to do! i've only bought merch from 3 youtubers in total: goonsquad, b is for build, and now you guys! looking forward to the shirt i ordred, plus its really cool that i was able to get involved in this giveaway!
It sounds so much better than the Honda build, I'd love to see some kind of plastic or fibreglass fabrication to hide the square cornered battery box and give it a more aerodynamic look.
Ok seeing the frame and the build I’m starting to see why you went rear hub rather than the superior mid drive. Looking at this I’m not entirely sure where you would even mount a mid drive motor.
I'm concerned about the concentration of bending stress at the "X" point in each side of the frame (adjacent to your knees) over bumps or even just carrying a heavy rider. I see that the battery box is incorporated into the structure but it doesn't appear to carry much of the load. Is there some stressed frame member that isn't apparent?
So far it’s felt very stiff, but I am looking to add a tube on the bottom part of the X for that reason. I don’t think it’s necessary with how it is now, but I’m always going to fall on the over-engineering side when given the option
I'm not sure whether this has already been adressed in one of the other videos but are you noticing the lack of anti-squat because of the change to a hub motor? You can see the bike squat once Lord Curt hits the throttle around the middle of the video. Awesome work as always :)
On the original model, the engine is a stressed member, it has a job to do in holding the front and back of the frame together. Your mods deleted that. Frame is going to crack in the middle if you leave it like you've got it.
@@TheInja I have to agree with MrAmorti. The welds won't crack right away, but if this goes to a heavy guy and they hit a solid bump at speed, those two pieces of tube steel are gonna take a pounding supporting all that force trying to bend the bike literally in half. Anything at all to stiffen/support that "X" in the frame (right in the middle of the shot at 4:44) will help the bike flex less and feel sportier. Maybe I'm just jealous you get to build these great projects! Keep up the great work guys!
by giving it away remember to also process exemption papers to the receiver mate so you wont be liable of anything. Last thing you want is getting sued in case it breaks or the guy suffers any loss while riding it.
An electric Ducati? This is nothing less than BLASPHEMY!!! A Ducati is comprised of a Desmo valve train, Termignoni exhaust, a gutteral roar and mechanical passion. What you have is that pink plastic battery powered car rich kids got as a birthday present to drive around in their backyard. You seriously need to redeem yourself!
Wow. Keep it up! Build an adventure/dual sport all electric next!! Btw. There are only stickers and key tags in your store. Did you extend the mail in entries ?
It has a charger for standard 110v, you can charge as high as 28amp with it in a couple hours, but I think we got a 9 amp that does it in like 8 hours from dead to full.
Bike is looking spicy. Glad y'all are okay. Just wish we could have gotten like a short 30 second video letting us know what was going on. We live our lives through you. 😆
What are your thoughts on hub motor vs mid drive after building a cycle with both? Found your cafe racer series while researching how to do something similar with a CB350 frame that I have and want to know your opinion. Cant wait to see the completed Ducati, its looking great right now!
As one who has been working on this for YEARS, I TOTALLY understand how complex and how much work goes into doing this. Excellent job guys!!
Breathtaking , this right here is the future of Electric Motorcyles ! , I literally gasp when you guys first accelerated the motor the sound it makes alone is AMAZING !
Keep it up Guys!
It's a dream to ride. More coming soon. Thanks dude!!
Lord Curt needs to build a electric chopper. Big bike for a big guy. Keep up the great work and doing the things we dream about.
amazing how quick this project is coming along. Almost like you've built an E-bike before 🙂
That garage lighting is stunnning!
Damn that sounds cool! Ducati meets Star Wars, awesome!
I think you will regret letting go of your prototype.. No one will appreciate it like you. Just my opinion. You are changing the world right here. Incredible job.
For sure.
hahah the noise that motor makes when it's being tuned .... sounds like a space ship 👽 😂. Great progress as always!!!
USS Ducati
ok I bought a shirt - now to sit back and wait for my electric Ducati to arrive
hahaha!! May the odds be ever in your favor!
Can’t wait to see the finished product
I can't wait to see the finished product. Congratulations 👏 on the new born and I hope you build another bike to give away.
Love Inja’s energy and All hail Lord Curt. That thing purrs. Whoever wins it will be one lucky rider!!!
So stoked! This bike is dope.
It's looking super good, excited to see the speed and range on it.
Likewise! Very exciting time in the build

@@TheInja I’m excited! You have good taste! I love all of your builds, even when you have to make lemons into lemonade! #hantonysucks
Good job bike looks awesome good luck with the babies
Fanfrickintastic! EDucati! Job Well done!Great Video Inja!!!
Thanks Roger!
That is looking phenomenal!
Glad your battery was easy to fit. I had to drop my frame over the battery haha. Top work guys 👍🏼
Awesome. Bike looks great guys
Amazing work already!!
After months of waiting, FINALLY 🤩
💯
That bike sounds sweet
makes me think of tron
Good to see both you back and looking good. Good to see everyone recovered nicely.
Thanks, Matt! What a crazy couple months for us. Feels incredible to be back at it 💯
god damn when that thing is jacked up and spinning it sounds awesome
Amazing to see you doing a conversion like this.
Up on the jacket jackstands it sounds like a Tron motorcycle mixed with the Ghostbusters siren. Definitely cool.

How are you reinforcing the bike with no engine? It’s a stressed member frame, removing the engine leaves the frame weak and dangerous

Looks really cool, great concept

It’s looking so cool. That speed!
You guys rock Bro!!!
the new sound of a good bike
Love the sound, it's just so futuristic and different from anything you can get from a gas bike
My thoughts exactly!
Damn boiiiii! All hail Lord Kurt 💪💪💯💯
I love the sound...
It's so "Jetsons" !!
I like the sound of that thing! 👍
Won't the frame be very weak, since the motor also is a structural element of the frame?
Depends on the mass difference between the engine and the battery pack. If the pack is much lighter then it’s not going to be noticeable
looks so good that I just had to join the giveaway! 😎 awesome work
Is the rear tire mounted for correct rotation? The tread looks opposite normal, for a rear tire.
Glad to hear it, was hoping to hear some feedback about the new style.
Definitely considering it!
Well done guys, sweet
This bike is bitchin’ and that Sci Fi EV sound from the hub motor 👌🏼🔥

how did he tuned it? are there any videos explaining how to do it?
6:05 sounds like a jet... Is just music to, my ears 🔥
That’s nuts !

Does anyone else feel like its unnatural not to hear anything when this thing takes off? lol
Well done guys!
Kinda strange for sure!
I wouldn't recommend connecting the regen to the main breaks because it would cut of the power to the motor which would make cornering much much harder
It will be split to the other handle once we get everything in for that system. Good point!
The sound of the future
You guys rock
Tell me how it feels besides the sound what about the vibration if is there's any.
No vibration! Feels amazing.

It sounds so much better than the Honda build, I'd love to see some kind of plastic or fibreglass fabrication to hide the square cornered battery box and give it a more aerodynamic look.
Ad som lightness to also! Maybe build your own carbon fiber gas tank and maybe a carbon front fender 😀😀
It looks great
Whats the weight of the hub motor? Cant say I'm a fan of them but hey it works.
great job .... where can i get that motor ??
Great! How heavy is the bike at the moment?
Ok seeing the frame and the build I’m starting to see why you went rear hub rather than the superior mid drive. Looking at this I’m not entirely sure where you would even mount a mid drive motor.
No way to mount a mid! But this hub motor is actually a superior build for this project in several ways! Can't wait to show you when it's done!!

That sound is very nice to my ears! Hub motors are good too! I just uploaded a short ride video of my diy 2400w hub motor scooter.
Love the sound it makes, like Most Electric hub motors sound a little different from each other and this one kinda has a more beefy sound.
Even better in person! But absolutely silent when you're riding it.

Great job. I also build a e-bike many years ago that I made a video of.
Love the bike, I'm trying to figure out what motor to get for myself and am wondering what one this is and from what supplier
QS motor, 12kw hub 17 inch rim!
How do you charge it and how long does it take to get it to full charge.
It has a charger for standard 110v, you can charge as high as 28amp with it in a couple hours, but I think we got a 9 amp that does it in like 8 hours from dead to full.
Nice work guys! I am not 100% sure, but I think the rear tyre have wrong rotation.
