    I watched a couple of your videos and they are really great I’ve just bought the same mower with the rear roller and no doubt be day I’ll have to do something to it. I’m a bit apprehensive though as you seem to be great at this sort of stuff

    Hiya luke and Laura its been a while ,I have a little red tool box with odd ball parts to use to press bearings out and in I made myself a small table top and floor press with old hydraulic bottle Jack's , trampoline springs ,and scrap steel squared, angle!

    That was a super useful video thank you for such a decent, well explained fix. I have exactly the same mower, I got it as a non runner super cheap, the height adjustment was seized up on all four wheels, I stripped the carb and found crap in the bowl and jet's, so I've sorted that hoping it will fix the running issue, as it has a great spark. I just need to sort the cable issues as the pace setter cable doesn't seem to be operating correctly, it just doesn't look right, but my main issue is the throttle cable being totally seized, which is annoying because the cable at both ends looks fresh with no rust!

    Hi, Great video. I lost drive to the blade on my HRH536, stripped it to find the clutch was shredded. I have stripped it and replaced the clutch plate, but still don't have drive to the blade. Any suggestions? Thanks

    How do you block the flywheel? When turning the roto stop bolt the flywheel moves so i cannot loosen the bolt?

    • @menditman2004
      @menditman2004  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi I take the spark plug out and push down some start pull rope, obviously don’t push it all the way in as you need some left to pull it back out, but putting cord in will block the piston from moving (as the cord is soft it won’t do any damage) hope this helps. Thanks for watching 🙂👍

    Love the video brotha. Can I get your advice, I have a Honda HRX with the blade stop/clutch system as well but my blade won’t spin fast enough. It just combs the grass it spins so slow. Mower runs fine, new carb and fresh tune up. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Nice job mate, how much was the clutch plate? The engine stalls when I engage the clutch unless its done slowly, in your experience is this likely to be from a worn bearing or plate. Thanks

    • @menditman2004
      @menditman2004  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi I know on the older engines the 5hp ones I’ve had to engage the blade slowly, the clutch plate was between £20/£30 it was a while ago, if it’s worn especially bearing you would know it would be noisy and smell burning smell. Make sure the engine is warmed up before engaging as I’ve had them that don’t like to engage when cold. Let me know how you get on thanks for watching 🙂👍

  • @adzy166
    @adzy166 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Lovely job. I recently changed the blade on my HRH from an aftermarket one to an original. previously pull cord would pull over really easily and now it’s got more resistance. I think the clutch cable needs adjusting as the Rotostop doesn’t disengage fully and blade still moves (sometimes continues spins) after disengaging handle lever. What do you thinks causing this? Have you done a vid on adjusting the cables ?cheers.

      Hi did you put the blade spacer back in place? It sounds like the blade bolts are going through to far, it’s happened to me in the past. Let me know how you get on 🙂👍

      @adzy166 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Luke Took the BBC off to have a good look and the central bearing on the clutch cover was not seating tightly. I could push the bearing out with my fingers. Can I use anything to seat it in tightly to fill the small void or do I need to buy new parts. The bearing is original Honda replaced about 4 years ago. Thanks !

    • @menditman2004
      @menditman2004  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@adzy166 It should fit on tight I think you will have to buy the part, I’m not sure if there’s anything you can do to get it to seat tighter.
