    Nicely done, Mr. Jones, as always. As you have often shown in your work, the victims of the Whitechapel murders are among the most important figures in the whole of the history, and deserve the utmost respect. You never fail to give them what is due, and that is much appreciated.

    I visited Manor Park in July, it was extremely interesting although it rained cats and dogs the whole time I was there. At the entrance there is a coffee shop which was most welcome. Just right of Annie Chapman's grave is a memorial to those killed in the Bethnal Green (air raid shelter) disaster. Well worth a visit, the cemetery is also home to fairly tame foxes.

    Bravo and kudos for your kind and empathic 'minidoc'. The brutal story of these tragic women whose murders are as relevant now as then xx

    I am not aware of any other serial killer case were the victims and their lives are so ingrained into the discussion. Having said that, Michael Bilton's Wicked Beyond Belief: the Hunt for the Yorkshire Ripper also goes into considerable depth in regards to the victims and their lives. It will make you cry.

    I can't help but think that these were murders 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. May they all rest peacefully. Wonderfully done as alway.

    Somewhere in London is the grave of Jack the Ripper, we just have no idea where.

      I don’t think it was one person who committed these crimes and the perpetrators whoever they are, were never meant to be caught.

    It’s pretty awful that the actual graves of these women have been LOST without care in the ensuing years. I know ceneteries that have undisturbed graves hundreds of years old. How do these graves get lost in a little over 100 years? That’s terrible.

      I have travelled a lot over the years, here and abroad. I think the upkeep of English cemeteries are the most disgraceful.

    I wonder if any Scotland Yard detectives were present at any of these funerals? Many serial killers attend the funerals of their victims. The detectives would know the behavior of a suspect, it might have given them a clue about the suspect in question. Thank you for reading the articles about the funerals of these unfortunate women 😢

    Hey Richard, thanks for so many great clips :). Here's my question: What do you think of Bruce Robinson's idea that Jack was protected by the police and the government, because they were all Freemasons (including Jack)? Have you read his book? I certainly haven't! Who's got time for that? :). Muchos respect.

    I wonder if Jack the Ripper attended the funerals of any of these women. How could he resist?

    • @iancavon7125
      @iancavon7125 หลายเดือนก่อน

      He might have been among the onlookers in the streets but I'm pretty sure he didn't attend the funerals as such where anyone who wasn't a family member, friend, or policeman would have drawn attention. He was insane, but not dumb.

    I don’t care about bird poop on Annie’s headstone. The fact that they wrote the killers moniker on it AGAIN makes my blood boil. It’s highly disrespectful to that woman’s memory. Otherwise it was a lovely gesture to make this video. It reminds me of what Steve Blomer said about the memory of these victims are kept alive by the people who continue to follow the case. Thanks Rich!

    The key to the JtR case is to separate FACT from OPINION… In reality there is only one FACT we know for sure….
    IT WAS MAYBRICK

    I grew up in this area in the early fifties and I remember my father taking me to all the sites of the murders because I had shown an interest in them which remains with me to this day.
    However one thing I would like to point out is this, doesn’t it seem strange or even bizarre that Polly Nichols funeral starts from Hanbury street and two days later the next victim is murdered in the same place.
    It may be pure coincidence but it seems as if the perpetrators or perpetrator were being given instructions of where to commit the next hideous crime.

  • @charlesjames799

    Another strange coincidence is my father’s ashes were buried in the City of London cemetery and when we went to pay our respects it was next to the plaque for Polly Nichols.

    The sad thing is that the criminals are the ones who are the most protected by the law in our time.
    The victims are largely ignored.

    These cemeteries confuse me. Was Catherine Eddows buried in city of London cemetery or Ilford cemetery? And are there 2 cemeteries in Manor Park? My gran died young in the 60's. She was buried in Leytonstone cemetery too..

    • @charlesjames799
      @charlesjames799 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think they are the same Manor Park and ilford are two separate districts today albeit close but in 1888 this would have been countryside and would have been clearly separated.

    I wonder if it’s true they took a photo of Mary Kelly’s eyes after death .. I heard that somewhere. If they did I wonder where the picture ended up ? morbid curiosity there ..
    rip to all the victims

    The Jack the Ripper case is unique in that we actually know the names of all the victims. How many Ted Bundy victims can you name?

    I know who Jack was...the doctor Francis Tumblety of course he even showed off his jar of kidneys when he moved to america plus he removed the kidneys in the dark, nobody could do that without surgical knowledge imo.
