Since my trip was almost 2 years ago I don't remember that I needed anything else but I vaguely recall that I needed some sort of visa to enter New Zealand but the woman at the airport helped me to get that on the spot through my iphone so it was not a big deal. I would google that if you are going through New Zealand. No need for bank statements, though. I recall having to pay for meals/drinks on Air New Zealand. If you fly that airline, check to make sure they take credit cards. I think that's how I paid. Have a great trip!
