Holy hell, how has this not gone viral? Production value is miles higher than most of Corridor Digital's stuff for once. Story is superb, well done guys.
This goes to show you what you can accomplish with what you have. On a T3I this is amazing quality and the pace is so good. You guys are awesome great work!
Such a beautifully made film. I just can't believe this was shot on Canon T3i camera. I am sure after watching this Film no one will think of selling their Canon T3i camera and those who have sold will bang their head on the wall for doing this in ignorance. Loved watching this Film. You guys have done a wonderful job. Everything about this Film needs to be appreciated, the story idea, screenplay, the cinematography, the direction, all the actors' performance. I am interested to watch more of your Films and learn about Filmmaking. Thank You!
Amazing film I was on the edge of my seat at the end are you going to make a sequel or do you have an ending in your mind if so I would love to know. Keep up the great work.
Awesome I loved the way you portrayed this film instead of showing zombies in the film you built up the suspense by having the characters talking about it. I also think it achieved "The Film Look". I hope I can achieve it in the future of my filmmaking journey.
I loved this guys! The beginning felt like the audio was "distant" in my opinion. Convo about the pills audio was perfect though. Maybe it's my ears. All in all, this is a beautiful example that people like me with a t3i have some work to do. Happy shooting🎥!
I just watched this again and the grade is AMAZING! This was definitely well thought and well executed all the way around. I don't hear the same thing I thought I heard so it may have been me on the first comment. And a great story!
How did you expose the film? Even exposure, a stop under, or a stop over? Did you use a light meter or the built-in spot meter? Also, you should expand this into a feature.
It was shot on a Canon T2i and T3i and we exposed to the right as much as possible without highlight blow out. We didn't have a light metre for this project, just exposed by eye. Shot with a flat picture profile and heavily graded.
Wow...awesome work !!! Can u please answer my question ? Can u release a film shooted with Canon t3i or t5i on big screen ( I mean cinema hall ) ? How will be the quality with proper lighting. Please tell me , we have limited budget for camera, our option are Canon t3i/t5i , Canon 70d , Sony a6000 , used 5d mark ii ???? Which one is best.......Plzzzz suggest 😩😩😩
We screened the film on a Cinema screen and it looked great. The money saved buying a Canon t3i/t5i , Canon 70d or 5d mark ii could be spent on lights as all of these cameras need. If you can get a used 5d I would recommend that. The full frame look is the best.
+Courtney Abbott There was some but not an awful lot. It was mostly adding contrast and vibrancy, and a little bit of bloom to combat the over-exposure in some scenes
For the this film we use a Canon 24-105 F4 lens, but we never use auto focus when shooting video. We shot everything in manual focus. If you are finding it hard to keep focus in manual mode try shooting at a higher F-Stop like F4, all of this film was shoot at F4.
hey! big fan, been watching for a few years but like to revisit this from time to time- as someone shooting on a t3i, can i ask how you got the light and color to look so nice? what picture profile/settings and luts did you use if any?
First of all, we used a SD card hack thing called Magic Lantern which unlocks a bunch of features for the t3i. Then we installed a picture profile called Cinestyle which gives you a very flat picture profile. This helps to retain detail in the shadows and stop over exposing the highlights. After that, its bounce boards, natural light, and good make up on the actors!
how many cameras did you use and if one how did you achieve the cuts and all and please i would like to know how to set my camera to give such a cinematic look please i beg you and thank you
We only used 1 camera for the film, a Canon 550d. We recorded each take separate getting the actors to perform there lines, then we would which angle to the other actor and do the same.
i would like to know your camera settings bit by bit without missing any detail just so i can perfect the video settings on my canon 600d . can you help?
We shot at 24fps, shutter of 1/50. Our ISO never went over 800 and the f-stop was around F4. Also we shot on a flat picture profile called Cine Style, there are videos on TH-cam which can help you install it on your camera. The Lens we used was a Canon 24-105. To light the film we used only available daylight and a reflector. Hope this helps.
We have installed magic lantern on probably about a dozen Canon cameras and we haven't experiences any faults at all. It's highly unlikely you'll experience anything negative.
You guys did a awesome job with a Canon T3i...never would i think i could get such good production from my Canon T3i

This deserves way more views
Well written, shot, directed and edited. Enjoyed it a lot. Thanks for this.
Wow, acting really was top! Also love the colors.. nailed the filmic look (and I don't say that often)
Thank you :)

Thanks Keith, appreciate it!
Wow, really gripping. Well done

Thanks a ton!
This is an incredibly good job. Well done!👏👏👏
This is Dope! And this is on the Canon T3i OMG I knew I should've kept my Rebel T6
Give it enough light and it works brilliantly! Not quite as sharp as cameras these day though, it feels soft compared to the new 4k range

+Reptiles4u We have episode 2 written, but at the moment it's undecided when we are going to shoot it. Hopefully soon, it was a blast to make!

The T3i is an absolute beast of a camera as long as you feed it lots and lots of light!
I just watched this again and the grade is AMAZING! This was definitely well thought and well executed all the way around. I don't hear the same thing I thought I heard so it may have been me on the first comment. And a great story!
We hope to make the sequel when we get the chance! Loved making this movie, labor of love. Thank you AllWright Media!
Wow.. just wow

Which lens did you use my bro ?
Very high quality work , may I ask what lenses and software were used
This work is Mind blowing... Which lenses do you use with this camera

Hi!!!i think this is the most beautiful short i seen that was shot on a t3i.
Thank you very much for the complement.
Did you use the magic lantern on your T3i?
+Triumph Vision Productions certainly did!
What lenses did you use to shoot ? looks awesome
Yeah wanted ask the same, and used magic lantern? It really looks good
awesome want the rest i have the t3i but am in no way this creative i wish i was omg
still love this
Did you have to do much color Grading when editing this
+Courtney Abbott There was some but not an awful lot. It was mostly adding contrast and vibrancy, and a little bit of bloom to combat the over-exposure in some scenes
I have 3 T3i's and for the life of me, how did you keep the focus? Auto focus sucks...what lenses did you use? The Video was awesome BTW
For the this film we use a Canon 24-105 F4 lens, but we never use auto focus when shooting video. We shot everything in manual focus. If you are finding it hard to keep focus in manual mode try shooting at a higher F-Stop like F4, all of this film was shoot at F4.

what was ur lens selection?
We used a Canon 50mm 1.8 and a Canon 24-105mm f4.
i want that nifty fifty love it i baught the youngnouo 50 1.8 it was 40 bucks lol died on me wont auto focus i need the 50 mm 1.8 canon
how many cameras did you use and if one how did you achieve the cuts and all and please i would like to know how to set my camera to give such a cinematic look please i beg you and thank you
We only used 1 camera for the film, a Canon 550d. We recorded each take separate getting the actors to perform there lines, then we would which angle to the other actor and do the same.

i thaught it was a t3i thats a 600 d not a 550 d
Interesting, what lenses and lights were used ?
We used a Canon 50mm F1.8 and a Canon 24-105 F4 lens. We used all natural light with the help from a reflector to create some bounce light.
Made with a $200 600D. Unreal.
I'm confused why the guy said there were only two bullets, but at the end they shot like 4 times?
+Clint Barton Error on my part. There was a scene written where he places 2 bullets into a letter but it didn't make it to production.
love the looks and story! did you use a stabilizer/glidecam?
We didn't. Just a bog-standard tripod and a shoulder mount :)
thanks for the reply!
Great work! What did you record the sound with?
We recorded with a Rode NTG2 shotgun mic inside a blimp and a Tascam DR-40 audio recorder
U telling me my 600d can DO THAT???
is magic lantern gonna brick my camera i cant afford another one
We have installed magic lantern on probably about a dozen Canon cameras and we haven't experiences any faults at all. It's highly unlikely you'll experience anything negative.
amazing project, but please don't say that the whole film was shot with a canon 600d :D
The video quality looks silly
