    This is hands down the most visually impressive short film that I've seen done with a T3i. Always impressed with people that can do a lot with a little. Great job.

    This is a beautiful film. I like that there is no dialogue. There is so much mystery to this story which saves lot of room for the imagination. Great work!!!

    Ok, now I'm definitely buying a 600d as my first SLR. Jeez, the look of this short is so organic!
    You used only natural lighting, am I right?

    Finally someone who actually knows how to use a low level DSLR. Have you noticed all of the extreme close up SHALLOW** depth of field instagram filter "Cinematography tests" there are on TH-cam. Utter garbage. BUT THIS IS AMAZING CINEMATOGRAPHY. Better than some of the stuff in Hollywood. Like this isnt just good for the T3i, its just good in general. Smooth, Interestingly composed, Well lit.

    ive been looking at short films between the a7s ii and the cheap canon dslrs like the t3i and up, and honestly, its annoying how some people with high end cameras tend to shoot things pretty badly compared to things like this. this was a pretty good short film, a bit vague but interpretive (i think that was the point). and im trying to decide which camera to pick up and im not sure if im really gonna need the extra detail from the a7s ii because honestly im not sure the audience would care or film things in very dark places.
    guess that just goes to show any camera is good enough

    • @syekbe
      @syekbe 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      EeveeFall just pick up any camera and tell your story. Don't worry so much about the gear. Yes I agree, I have also seen amazing looking cinematography shot with entry level DSLR cams :)

      I like the T3i (or canon in general for low budget) because you can download Magic Lantern, and it changes EVERYTHING in those cameras. A T3i and I can shoot in RAW on a crop sensor?!! For $250 all in? Anyday.

    • @minktronics
      @minktronics 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +John Landry Late reply, but filmmaker over camera. Give an 8 year old a red epic and he'll make a pile of crap, give Quentin Tarantino a t3i and he'll probably create a masterpiece.

    color grading was good, girl very pretty but i could not finish the movie. it was too slow..too much walking. at one point of the movie, she smiles and it seems like she found something interesting but it was nothing...she continued walking again. congratulations anyways...you made a short film, that´s what counts.

    • @lancegoodthrust546
      @lancegoodthrust546 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sonny Brown, EXACTLY! Whenever I hear someone say "it was too slow" I just feel like they're use to that spoon-fed sugar. Something that involves M an orgy of CGI and story will come later lol. A lot of people are fucktards who survived the abortion. This short was well done and I thought it was a good film exercise. Some people like good taste. And a lot of others think that taking their wife to the Cheesecake Factory is a classy way to celebrate their anniversary. "Too slow"? Let me guess, Star Wars fan? You get the idea.

    I was brought in by great scenery and landscape but you lost me at about 2 minutes in. I was continuously asking myself questions that never got answered in the film. the audio threw me off just a bit as well with the steps in the snow and her grabbing the bushes or shrubs. none-the-less this being filmed on a T3i I think you did great good color grade as well.

    Agreed, very nice shots and lens choice. Way to Long walking shots, and the sound design was pretty off. The walking in the snow was bad and sometimes off, but the howling wind.... but no breeze? No hair was blowing or tress. Sorry, really trying to help. If it was 3-4 minutes, maybe. Good stuff though!
