Any advice on doing corners like from 1 wall to the next wall please ?? Thanks in advance ❤
Been on a diy spree and your vids have awesome, binge watched them even the ones I didn’t need 😂 thanks guys
🤣 brilliant and thanks 😁
Another great vid! Thanks guys!!!
Nice one Sam 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
great video i am inspired to try this just one question what was the size of your skirting board that you show in this video ?
You always make it look so simple 😆
😁💪🏼
Brilliant, can i ask what if the wall is a solid not stud. Is adhesive and pins ok.
What did you do for the socket - out of curiosity?
Another banger ! 😎
Thanks much appreciated 🔥🔥
I always took alot of pride in how well I do this kind of work, and I have to say,you fellas are awesome at what you do as well! Great videos,I watch everyone of them, they are always bangers.
Nice one mate much appreciated 😁👌🏼👌🏼
Was going to ask if you could do a tutorial for this as I want to do this in my hallway and love your videos ❤ thanks guys
Hope This Helps 😊
Another great video guys, do you do requests? If so id love to see how you guys tackle a media wall
We will be doing one soon 😁😁💪🏼💪🏼
Hi guys! Great explanation! Thanks! Question, can I do this on a textured wall? Or would look weird.
Hmm not sure tbh depends on your personal taste 😊😊
If you was to do a full room with each wall different sizes, would you keep the gaps the same on each wall or would you measure out again? And also how would you panel around windows and doors?
Personal taste on that for me I judge each wall separately and windows and doors would work that into the design 😊
What do you recommend to do when your walls(corners) left and right aren't plumb?
Hi guys, awesome look at the end. This may be a stupid question but how did you know that the pin gun would be safe to use or does it not penatrate the wall enough to worry about hitting wires?
Tried it and it worked 🤣🙈 it’s deffo not advised tho of course
Hi guys. Thanks for your lovely videos. Sorry, a very silly question. How can I paint them, what kind of paint do I need to use? Is different paint for all than the wood panels? Many thanks
Mdf primer then Matt emulsion for us 😊
Love it so quick and effective way of decorating
Was the a reason behind covering the previous electric socket?
Wish I had thought bout pulling the skirting off before doing my panelling 😮
Hi Elaine ,Pause the beginning It gets reinstalled 😊💚
@@homeimprovements so did you cut or just drill the panelling 😘
Cut it 😁😁😁
Hi guys when you have your distance between the panels using your calculation is that from the end of one panel to the start of the next one ? Cheers thanks
Yes 😊
Is that a block or stud wall?
What brads do you use in your gun?
Brick and plaster 30mm just enough to hold in place while adhesive sets 😊
Yea right. Easy.
Hey there guys, great video! Luv the straight forward explaining. Question though: what if the stuff is gonna have to come off at one point? Would the glue take parts of the wall off too?
It may all depends on the wall tbh and what condition it’s in 😊
In my case I recently pulled off old trim which had been glued on and the drywall paper covering came off. What a mess. I even pre-cut around all the moulding to help around the edges, but it did not work much. Anywhere it was glued to the drywall, the paper came off :(
Now I have to find a solution to redo the walls and put up new trim.
What's the other option though, nail it on? In many places there is no stud to nail to so you'll end up with gaps.
What are your thoughts about the MDF and plastered walls having a different texture? I’m considering painting (after an MDF primer) the MDF with a watery plaster mix so all surfaces have the same smooth plaster texture.
Not sure on that on tbh Roy 🤔
Would crack
I did panelling and the finish was identical, painted both with a roller so the finish was the same. The finish comes from the roller not the plaster
Great vid guys but would have been even better to show how to cut round the electric socket. The thought of that glue penetrating the cables makes me nervous.
What do you do about the socket? Just mark up where it is, remove facia and then multi tool it out afterwards?
Yh 😊
Did you remove the pins after? If so, how?
Would you suggest bevelling the edges for filling, as you did on a stairs project?
Yh for that seamless finish 😊😊
@@homeimprovements thank you, see I was paying attention, off to buy a mini planer 👍🏻
🤣 you sure was 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
To measure for a full wall is the principle the same??
Have you guys ever had any issues using that adhesive on lined walls?
Lined walls ?
@@homeimprovements yes walls that have got lining paper on them.
What if your installing it on concrete wall?
Why do you guys divide up the lengths in two pieces each time? Wouldn't it be easier to cut one long piece each time instead of one long one and one shorter one? Thanks!!
What are you putting in the gap at the bottom of the panelling?
Skirting 😊
Hey guys just came across your video, I'm crap at maths to work out measurements can anyone help please.... I got the panels from homebase and stupidly didn't know they cut them to size 😮
What was the thickness of the mdf ?
9mm 😊
What did you do around rhe plug socket?
Framed it with the mdf 😊
@@homeimprovements what's the best way to do it as I've run into a problem with my DIY project! :(
May I ask what gauge pins you use. Thanks
16g 30/40mm seems to work a treat 😊
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
What gun is that your using
16g Dewalt 🤣
How do l do this when the council has fitted trunking above the skirting and down the walls 🤔 looks like l wont be able use panelling
For electric cables or pipes?
What pins are you using?
30mm 16g 😊
Mask with mdf?
what glue did ypi guys using?
Not sure now 🙈
@@homeimprovements why your not sure bud
Was a while back we use ct1 now 😊
Where are the panel boards 😮 ?
Dahn
Nobody is mentioning the “elephant in the room” 😂
Roaring 😂
Please tell me, I’m about to try this..... xxx
😂😂😂
The carpet
The socket? 😂
Their accent is extremely British😂😂
Don’t like that it’s a bare wall you can see and feel when it’s not wood … it’s Way prettier if you add MDF sheets on the entire wall before adding the boards it looks way more professional
Man I've got to get in the 21 century and upgrade to electric,Im still running pneumatic. Hoses are such a trip hazard though.
Yh electric has come a long way now there great 😁💪🏼
