DaVeon Phil never wanted to return after 1998 because he believes you should never stay in one place for too long or else you start to lose your influence on the players there. Jerry just twisted the story to the media to make it seem like he didn’t want to resign him, when in reality Phil was never going to return in the 1st place.
Man played fewer minutes and shot a higher % and still had more 30+ games at age 39 and 40. Somebody is salty their career fizzled out after that season.
@@revans100591 still though I feel like people make that sound easier then it really is.. There's been plenty of players on trash teams that have been able to shoot as much as they want and can't even touch 29 ppg. I agree though getting as much shots as you want makes it easier...but I mean players like Kemba, Booker, etc. have been in situations like that and never hit 29 ppg.
@@futurekillerful Kemba and Devin never had coaches that flat out said let them have the ball 97-98% of the time or said they can play iso ball as much as they want. @J Day actually i did and im from Philly and played aau against iverson and Stackhouse in 92...if you remember after the trade he actually didn't start over dumars which was why they did the trade because he wouldn't defend and couldn't shoot and turned it over too much. He scored alot that last year but didn't play well overall and that detroit team regressed. He couldn't replace allan Houston
Not true smh. Iverson and stack were young in Philly and didn't know how to win yet. Hill and stack played great together but Hill got hurt in the pkayoffs.
@J Day and Philly had to trade him cause you couldn't have a high turnover backcourt....maybe if he was a bit taller to play the 3 it may have worked but the Sixers already had their eye on tim Thomas for that upcoming draft

Aint no millenials saying that Jordan overrated we grew up Idolizing Jordan. Its the generation below us Gen Z that are saying that and maybe some younger millenials.
Yeah and then u had the generation before telling them kids they know nothing and never saw wilt and Russell play, and that they were best or kareem....they would respond but look back at their era and say well that era was not as good, and the same thing is gonna happen with jordan and Bron. People already look back at 80's-90's nba and laugh at the lack of skill similarly to how gen x laughed at 50's 60's nba...and the same will happen with Bron and who knows...Luka? Zion? Who knows.
Im a 35 year old millenial and grew up in Michigan watching the bulls pistons rivalry with my dad...the bulls became my favorite team..jordan was my favorite player. But Bron is better. People try to compare them apples to apples but they apples and oranges...and in my opinion the orange taste better. And while most fruit has usually started to sour, this orange is still ripe. Its insane if u really look back his timeline and longevity. Just my 2 cents
The one caller almost made me mad. I grew up around the areas where people got jumped/ killed for their shoes. That's not MJ fault at all. People always like to point the finger at everybody else but the real culprits smh.
Looking at Cosby drugging women and Cardi B drugging men and Trump grabbing opportunistic lazy women who want an express ticket to the top and seeing Hillary cheating, lying and stealing and Asia Argento sleeping with minors and innocent men like Brett Kavanaugh getting falsely accused also ARod having to "rightfully" pay millions after a divorce but not Adele and Mike Tyson going to jail for domestic violence but not Amber Heard I've realized that it is very easy to point the finger at men.
Yeah WTF was that about then you need to go at everybody when something bad happend like if I am wearing a rolex and it get robbed I suppose to be mad at rolex for selling these watches
MJ had a winning mentality that those other players didnt have. They felt it was annoying because they didnt share his competitive spirit. Without MJ on that team they would have won only 20 games. Those players just wanted to collect a check and party.
@@mrbuckets11 so again, if you ignore nearly half the season he average a lot. That would be like saying, “I have all A’s, if you ignore that I got C’s the second half of the semester.
I can’t remember who said this, but it was a good quote. “Jordan kept so many Hall of Famers from getting Rings, from Ewing to Barkley to Malone. Everybody got rings on LeBrons Watch ... EVERYBODY. That’s a huge difference in my book.”
I really don’t care about who’s the best because I think things like that are just opinions and not facts but the league is also just so much more talent laden than in any other time which I think helps partially explain why that statement rings true
FreshOutDaToilet2012 That’s because there’s much more talent in the league now... those guys couldn’t have teamed up back then without leaving a majority of the other teams without any true stars. Now there’s more stars so it’s almost impossible not to have multiple of them on the same teams
Yeah absolutely nobody on Jordan’s watch. Except the Wizard years. And the pre Pippen years. And his first year back after retirement. But yeah, nobody. All hail Lord Jordan.
I remember the finals Lakers vs Pistons in 2004. RIp Hamilton was a beast, Kobe could not guard him. His movement without the ball was non stop and ridiculous cardio.
I still love Rob Parker. He's one of the nicest people in the sports media. He responds to fans on Twitter. But his partner in crime, Chris Broussard, is gaining me back. I can finally enjoy listening to both these guys now.
David Robinson is arguably the nicest person ever in the NBA. The most like Steve Rogers. Good all-around Christian dude. Yet, nobody seems to be attracted to his life story. Same with Dirk, Tim, Stockton, and Nash.
You right i seen Robinson in North Star mall a few years ago in apple store he had a normal convo with me an others like he wasn’t a damn celeb good guy
*10:57* - Chris Broussard ready to drop an atomic bomb on Rob G's head. Because when MJ lost, he still didn't have a stinker for a playoff series like other greats did. I've seen all others hitting a lower point than MJ's
Just because he dropped 33ppg 63 pt game doesn’t make you the goat to me. He wasn’t required to do everything. He also made the playoffs with 30 wins 3 times. That’s insane.
LeVelle Coley The Bulls made the playoffs twice with 30 wins (84-85 [38], 85-86 [30]) and once with 40 wins (86-87). MJ was a rookie in 84 and broke his leg in 85. They made the playoffs MJs first 3 years because there was 23 teams in the NBA. He was required to everything ALL throughout the 80s. That’s why he had so much personal success while his team wasn’t as successful. Scottie came into his own in the 90-91 season and the rest is history. I truly don’t know how you all argue Jordan’s GOAT status. Just puzzling and troubling. 🤦🏿♂️
JaMaurae Birden was he required to do everything for most his career? he played 16 seasons. And okay I got u on the 30 games but still 30-52? And his goat status can be argued. It’s all personal preference in my opinion. Me personally I don’t count just rings into the equation because it’s a team effort, but individual effort a player must be efficient in everything he does or 90% of it Cuz every legend got weaknesses.
He missed the playoffs due to the way the brackets were set up. His team had a better record than other teams in his conference but it used to be where the top 2 teams were chosen. Now a days his team would’ve been like 4-5th seed
Jerry ain't telling the whole truth about that season. He forgets that MJ decided to come off the bench that year. Doug Collins was really the main problem with that squad; his rotations weren't great and he didn't command the players respect. MJ decided he was going to be the drill sergeant for that squad to motivate them but they weren't having it.
BlaqAdam facts! Mike came off the bench the first 15 or so games, and decided afterwards that he wanted to start. Plus Stackhouse missed about 12 games as well. So Mike has to pick up the offensive slack. Stackhouse was a volume shooter. Never was efficient, and was lackadaisical on defense. What did Stackhouse ever accomplish in his career?
What…? Most people can’t name anyone other than Pippen on the Bulls. That means they weren’t also Hall of Famers? You people just say nonsense to hype MJ.
I want to give props to Chris Broussard because I'm so happy he's referring to Magic Johnson's 1996 comeback. People kinda forgot that Magic was really getting annoying to a lot of us in a 4-year span.
I’m from Detroit and been a Pistons fan my whole life! I remember when I heard Jerry Stackhouse got traded I legit cried. I was 10 at the time and was hurt because I had an autograph from him and Grant hill a few years before. They traded away both of my favorite players within a couple of years, but it ended up working out for the better. But man I was hurt

The coronavirus is a joke and also like this planet it's a staged show all sports are rigged its all about money these athletes know this it's a fuckin game so there's no such thing the greatest of all time because all sports are rigged up now, MJ would be the most greatest if the basketball wasn't rigged up or any other sports like football, basketball, baseball, golf, tennis etc.
Jerry Stackhouse was a great player, he was 2nd in the league in scoring before the Pistons traded Stackhouse for Richard Hamilton. I'm from Chicago and I gotta be honest, Mike was getting old and kinda washed up.
Stackhouse wasn’t great at all.. That year KOBE pumped 55 on stackhouse as the primary defender.. Rob g is a clown keep it on the court. MJ on the court peak value was greater than any in nba history. All players have failed missed shots get eliminated in playoffs etc. As a player MJ great was greater than the other great players
Greg Lewis no your the fool‼️ He wasn’t great obviously you don’t know the meaning of great..It’s about stackhouse and Jordan not grant hill stay on topic
MJ's low points was losing to the Pistons for 3 straight years. First 2 years, 1988 & 1989, Pippen wasn't an All-Star. MJ was going up against 3 future HoFers.
I can't wait for The Last Dance! I have to use three different streaming services (TH-cam TV, Hulu+, Sling) on a 🆓 7-day trial to watch them all! 🤣 I hope it's the most honest documentary. I want to see DARTH JORDAN.
AJ85 agreed. Nothing at all, and I'm not a super Jordan fan. It's been well documented that Michael was tough to play with. This ain't really news to me 🤷🏾♂️ lol
The Michael Jackson I still picture in my mind is the Thriller era. Maybe some of the Bad era. Before his Dangerous album. The Michael Jordan I still have in my mind is the 90s Mike.
Good honest take. But u can't deny MJ's greatness even at 38-40. He simply was naturally the no 1 option and Stack has been nothing more than a 2 option at best. It is what it is.
Then why do you guys ignore that those teams sucked. You can’t have it both ways, if Mike was so great why weren’t they a playoff team? It’s crazy the way people want to write off those years as not counting when the topic is the team was awful, but when you want to talk about how good MJ was even when he was old suddenly it counts again.
I hate the question of "what did he have to gain for saying that?" He didn't have to try to gain anything. He was just speaking his mind and how he felt at the time...just that simple.
Not always so... because Michael Jordan is a huge, great and worthy hero any day... No question. How can you argue that the greatest Athlete in all sports is not that special? Smile...
I'd be mad too like Stackhouse. The guy was an All-Star in Detroit twice. Then he never became an All-Star again after he got traded for Rip in September 2002 while Rip wins a ring like 2 years later and Stack won nothing.
The shame is Jordan era started the 1 person being given all the credit for championships in TEAM sports. By the Media and marketing. It is False but the spin it that way. JORDAN on the 90's Clippers does he win? KOBE stay with Charlotte Hornets...that guy who shot all those shots but never won?. It gets out of had with the credit being given mostly to 1 person.
To be fair, the only reason wizards got any attention back then was because of MJ, and that’s important for the franchise, how much more tickets and merchandise they sold were insane
2nd caller blaming MJ for people killing each other over sneakers. That's where I have a problem with black people always trying to blame someone else for their on BS.
Jared Jones tbf he bullied teammates, punched Steve Kerr, the Wizards locker room was described as having a negative atmosphere. Is that not toxic? He got results but the two are not mutually exclusive.
78mfleet the point is perhaps Jordan was toxic. I’m not saying we shouldn’t expect a Jordan team not to have tension but people are so sensitive with anything negative said about Jordan that even if he’s described as toxic people get all bent out of shape.
It’s actually well documented what an arsehole he is/was. Beyond just your normal ‘internal battles’ But hey I’m not complaining, I literally could not care less. Just pointing something out.
@@LordBranniganThe you're a bum. He was the best player on 6 championship teams and never lost in the finals. His teammates who were all bums were on the ride of their lives. The pistons wore Jordan out. The pistons 7 straight years of playoff battles against all-time great teams. All most 3 peat (a crazy NBA call in the finals against pistons with Kareem skyhook away). Jordan was lucky pippen and Grant improved. Pistons were worn out by 91'! Facts#

They played in the same position, they were physically very similar, and the fact is that Kobe just copied from Jordan, and with that he got his psyche.” “A documentary about Jordan is coming soon and in these ten episodes, people will be able to see how many similarities there were between the two. Both were willing to die to win and worked very hard and put in an unprecedented amount of effort to be the best.” "To me, Michael Jordan is a marvel of nature, he would sometimes sleep for only three hours and then dominate the field with unprecedented energy!"
The Last Shot in 1998 when he was kinda waving goodbye with his follow through was the end of the 1990s for me. I don't consider the 1999 Spurs as the last NBA champion in the 90s. The 90s NBA ended on June 14, 1998.
As the 2-time defending champ in 2011, Kobe got swept in the Semis by the Mavs. Lost to the Thunder in 5 the next year. Has the most bricks in NBA history. Shot 41% and 31% in the Finals.
LeBron missed the playoffs three times. Twice earlier in his career while Melo didn't miss it in his first 8 while in Denver in a tougher conference. LeBron got swept twice in the Finals.

He said he felt he was the #1 guy, but had to play second fiddle to MJ...name a play who dont want to be #1 in any team?? Down vote on this one gentlemen.
@78mfleet I will give two right off number one. Bill Cartwright MJ threaten every Bulls player with a freeze out if they passed the ball to Bill but he told MJ that he will light him up if he ever did that again. Number two Robert Parrish. MJ tried to embarrass during a practice. The Chief wasn't having none of that mess. Jordan knew better than to throw bows with a 7 footer. Rob G is on point, have never seen a bunch of grown men kiss another man's grown backside like they do with MJ. Read the "Jordan Rules" to see what a egomaniac he was. Chris is wrong about MJ not having subpar games, he went 5 for 20, 6 for 28 in the playoffs like everyone else.
@78mfleet I have watched basketball since the 1960's so i have some knowledge of the game. MJ should not have did that to Bill, should not have punched Steve Kerr, or been stupid enough to try Robert Parrish who already has three rings before he got to Chicago. Don Shula, Joe Gibbs, or Paul Brown would cut any player who fought during a practice because its a waste of time. Being a bully is not a sign of leadeship, its a sign of immaturity. I was in the USMC and if we ever got into a fight, you backside is going to get busted. The mission of the Armed Forces is more serious than a baskeball game. Its call having discipline. Not to mention he cursed out the GM and the CEO of the Bulls on numerous occasions. Although Jerry Krause was not the nicest guy in the world, you don't go out of your way to embarrass him. The same thing he did to his former high school coach for cutting him during his classless hall of fame speech. I will say again i have never seen an athlete who's rear end gets kissed on a regular like this egomaniac.
@@charleswilliams6758 Agree, I think the one with Steve Kerr was the most outrageous. He picked on one of the weakest player's on the team. A coward move and an absolute bully. Had Lebron done the same thing, the media would crucify him and we wouldn't hear the end of it.
@78mfleet "The fact remains, his bulls teammates speak highly of him until this day." Doesn't mean anything. It's just the politically correct answer. You don't how they really feel about him. They are only saying because they are on camera. It's pretty easy to say "I love him" when the camera is on and when its not on camera and off record "I hate him" "he's a jackass"
Rob G thank you and I'm old-school I'm 55 years old but for crying out loud Mike is touchable thank you rob G and I've seen Mike play live and the Philadelphia Spectrum several times believe me I'm a Jordan fan but he's touchable
Killmonger 26 Because he’s essentially always only had just the mustache and maybe a soul patch if I remember correctly. It’s like how looking back at harden without a beard just doesn’t look like himself since we’ve become so accustomed to a certain style
Blaming Jordan for killings over a shoe is the dumbest argument that I've heard and I'm tired of hearing about it. These are the same people that will never clean up their drug ridden streets because the drug dealers looked out for them and feeds them. Jordan isn't out here pulling the triggers. This is just another example of misguided corporate envy
Rob G, we know MJ the person vs MJ the basketball player. We know how to separate these two. Who we're talking about is MJ the 🏀 GOAT. The guy Kobe and LeBron both idolized. Nothing wrong with praising that MJ 🐐.
I thought this segment was about Jerry Stackhouse’s comments on how he felt playing with an old and out of shape player where he felt that he brought there to be the man on the Wizards. I can say one thing.. Jordan is the GOAT of making sneakers. If social media existed in the 80s and 90s, everyone would be having a different conversation about Jordan the player and the man. 🤷♂️
Michael Jordan on the basketball court was like Superman 🦸🏻♂️. Off the court, he's no Clark Kent or Steve Rogers. He's more like Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne. Jerk. Dark. Doesn't always work well with others. An aloof.
We wore Jordan’s (specific ones) because they look good not because of what he did, in the 90s they prolli did but since then it’s strictly because of the look nothing else
Love the point about how Jordan never shrank and played badly in the playoffs. Maybe you could say the 95 playoffs against the magic he didnt play that great (I haven't looked at his exact stats for that year's playoffs) but he was coming off almost 2 years away from basketball and he immediately took back over the league the next season and made everyone forget about losing to Orlando
78mfleet Yeah people can argue he did drop 55 essentially right after coming back but I think that’s more about how skilled he was. Any of his downfalls in those playoffs would likely be more attributed to his conditioning rather than his skill but that’s just my opinion
The Wizards looked miserable playing with Jordan. MJ was dealing with a different bread of guys when he returned. They couldn't handle it. Jordan being like that got him 6 Rings!
Damn Chris and Rob jock Jordan hard , I love black Jesus and yes he was probably the best ever though I think Kobe and bron are on his heels and can do everything he could pretty much and some stuff better , Mike was the man , but Rob and Chris he was human and Stackhouse brings up some good points , I don't want to hear about no 40% from the field , he had trouble playing along someone he was better than at the time , tables turned and Mike complaining , you guys would b all in

The media would win so much more if they didn't try to turn everyone against each other for any quote. You could discuss the concept of what he said without making it a "what does stackhouse have to gain" thing
Jerry thinks he’s the new MJ from UNC. But his game was so rough and lack of craft. He’s actually a two dollars store MJ. He wished never play with MJ. AI and grant hill as well. But finally he won a championship in Dallas as a BLUE Collar role player.

First, I wish Jordan didn't come back the second time....the last shot in Utah was a masterpiece ending. Lastly, Jordan posted up more than ever due to his inability to get past his defender consistently at 40. Jordan was able to mix up his attack during the Chicago days. As for the Wizard era, Jordan's isolation plays slowed down the ball and kept the rest of the players out of rhythm..etc (Carmelo Anthony)
True but Jerry made it sound like him getting 20+ shot attempts a game as the number one option was somehow going to lead them to the finals. Him saying this came off like a dude that thought he was better than what he really was.

Michael Jordan is the G.O.A.T. in a TEAM sport. This isn't boxing or golf where he couldn't only rely on himself. Part of his winning and losing is tied to others around him.
The Bulls finally beating the Pistons has to do with Scottie pippen and Horace Grant becoming All star players in their own right as much if not more than Jordan changing his body lifting weights. Not to mention timely shots by kerr and Paxson.
Yea the Jordan fanboys do say he’s perfect. I always see “he never lost”. Perfect in the finals. While not factoring twice with good amount of help he didn’t even make the finals. The argument that we never seen Jordan “mess” up badly is easily explained. His teammates were better than the opposing team almost every time when he won, and the rules were easier with no zone defense. It’s like Tim Duncan, Tim Duncan is basically perfect as well, it’s because of the teams.
exactly, whats the point of saying it now? Nothing, I bet Jordan ain't thinking bout this lol he got other stuff doing. Jerry is just salty and also like Chris said even in his later yrs Jordan was still a 45% from the field while jerry was 40% lmao he is all in his feelings like a girl. Stop complaining, even if the offense was going through stackhouse the wizards was not making the playoffs and Jordan knew that as well cause half the team don't play defense
That's not ture. Jordan never shot 45% from the filed. In his first season with the Wizards, he was shooting 41.6%, pretty average. second season, he shot 44.5%, above average.
AgentJ2007 in math we’re taught to round to the nearest number. So if Jordan shot 44.5%, you round it to 45%. Like for his career, he shot 49.7% from the field. That would make him a career 50%.

If you are not contributing to success, you may try to blame someone other than yourself. It is sad that someone tries to speak like an expert when they are displaying ignorance.
I don't really want to remember anything about Michael Jordan after 1998. He's been mostly a failure since. Honest truth about my favorite player ever. Let's not forget 9/11 happened before he returned that 2nd time.
Ps. Let LBJ punch teammates, cause fights with them, and demoralize and destroy young players devolpment. . not to mention all the gambling, which may or may not have lead to his own fathers death, plus the cheating on his wife. . yall wouldve disqualified his goatness along time ago. Where my mirror @?
I bet his popularity would soar to even greater heights. Imagine if Lebron went gambling all night and then dropped 50 the next game in the Finals. Twitter would explode. Oh and Jordan wouldn't let a teammate banging his mom ruin his mood. He would have knocked him out and dropped 50 that night. Hahaa
@@momo-lj2et naw. . he probably would have retired again !! As much as they try to break Bron to keep him from goat status. . u know u smoking sumn. They wouldve been talking bout his gambling "problem" not the 50 be real!
I never thought he was that good to begin with. Him saying this pretty much confirms what I thought which was that he was a starter/role player with a star/superstar ego.
Stackhouse was better than MJ at that stage of his career. I watched 90s basketball and I’m gonna maintain that Lebron is easily better than Michael. It’s really not that close. Factor in the rules, the competition, and working out/nutrition is just better today. Also 6’7.25” 250 vs 6’5” 220(their real heights). And I was a Jordan fan growing up.
Michael Pun Stackhouse shot 40% when averaging 29 points on the Pistons. He was a volume shooter that had a bad attitude and never accomplished nothing in the league.
Rob G is correct on this one. Most men 40 or over can never be critical of MJ. They constantly glamorize him and only view his career through the lens of a 6 year period. Anything before or after the 6 year championship run, people gloss over it as if it never existed.
Us Chicagoans wish Jordan never played for the wizards 🤷🏽♂️.
FAKE NEWS Jordan quit because his coach got traded
DaVeon Phil never wanted to return after 1998 because he believes you should never stay in one place for too long or else you start to lose your influence on the players there. Jerry just twisted the story to the media to make it seem like he didn’t want to resign him, when in reality Phil was never going to return in the 1st place.
He didn’t actually play for the wizards. That was all made up. Lol
Blame the Jerry’s.
Jordan averaged 20 points during his wizard years... After 3yrs out and at his age... That's actually good lolol
There’s a reason why Detroit traded him for Rip Hamilton.
Bc rip was a dog at the time
Jordan did not think Hamilton was a aggressive scorer

@Colonel Gibbs he tried too hard 😂😂😂😂
Michael Jordan was way better all around at that time then stackhouse, Jerry didn't do nothing but score, that's it.
It's actually called a jersey. And that's the other team.
stackhouse left out the part that he trash talked MJ on the media in his rookie season and got schooled later in a game.
48 points in 3 quarters
He called him an idol.
Cooked his azz
Stackhouse bragged the nba was easy
MJ was singing Anita Baker while doing it too. Then would later sing her songs again while cooking him in practice as a Wizard.
Man played fewer minutes and shot a higher % and still had more 30+ games at age 39 and 40. Somebody is salty their career fizzled out after that season.
Jalen Davis averaged more rebounds, steals, and blocks than Stackhouse. Plus he played all 82 games.
Jalen Davis eh Stackhouse had that one 29 ppg season later though but yeah his career isn’t anything compared to Mjs
@@futurekillerful That one year his team didn't have better options so they let him shoot as much as he wanted.
Jerry was a good player but clearly benefited from playing on a team where none of his teammates were as good scoring wise and the coach pretty much ran everything through him.
Stackhouse couldn't play with iverson, grant hill or Jordan🤷🤔
@J Day actually i did and im from Philly and played aau against iverson and Stackhouse in 92...if you remember after the trade he actually didn't start over dumars which was why they did the trade because he wouldn't defend and couldn't shoot and turned it over too much. Aint no millenials saying that Jordan overrated we grew up Idolizing Jordan. Its the generation below us Gen Z that are saying that and maybe some younger millenials.
Most of those NBA players that Jordan faced were overrated

Yeah and then u had the generation before telling them kids they know nothing and never saw wilt and Russell play, and that they were best or kareem....they would respond but look back at their era and say well that era was not as good, and the same thing is gonna happen with jordan and Bron. People already look back at 80's-90's nba and laugh at the lack of skill similarly to how gen x laughed at 50's 60's nba...and the same will happen with Bron and who knows...Luka? Zion? Who knows.
Romeo montero, wrong, modern players are just overhyped, players were just as good, only difference is people didnt shoot 50 3's a game like now
Im a 35 year old millenial and grew up in Michigan watching the bulls pistons rivalry with my dad...the bulls became my favorite team..jordan was my favorite player. But Bron is better. If that was another player talkin bout bron . Rob wouldnt ask "what do you gain?" He would be saying " i told you!!!"

MJ had a winning mentality that those other players didnt have. They felt it was annoying because they didnt share his competitive spirit. Without MJ on that team they would have won only 20 games. Those players just wanted to collect a check and party.

I really don’t care about who’s the best because I think things like that are just opinions and not facts but the league is also just so much more talent laden than in any other time which I think helps partially explain why that statement rings true
It was Chauncey. But Chauncey should know better because its a team game not an individual
Bird kept Jordan from getting rings in the 80s. Never beat Bird in the playoffs.
FreshOutDaToilet2012
That’s because there’s much more talent in the league now... those guys couldn’t have teamed up back then without leaving a majority of the other teams without any true stars. Now there’s more stars so it’s almost impossible not to have multiple of them on the same teams

It's the markets they played in. All have worthy incredible life stories.

LeVelle Coley Not to mention, MJ has waaaaaaaaaay more bodies than ANYBODY to ever grace the hardwood aside from Wilt.
"Did you know?"
Kareem won the MVP in 1975-76...and missed the playoffs

But MJ nickname is AIR cmon that's Goat Goat
He missed the playoffs due to the way the brackets were set up. His team had a better record than other teams in his conference but it used to be where the top 2 teams were chosen. Now a days his team would’ve been like 4-5th seed
MrKing8050 oh I don’t know that Kareem won the MVP during the 75-76 season and missed the NBA playoffs!

What did Stackhouse ever accomplish in his career?
bcjclj totally agree. Jerry was a a runner-up guy. He was that in Philly and in Detroit. Really good but not memorable.
So many ex players and media heads are fuming that Jordan cant be topp3d and theyve tried everything but the kitchen sink
Yet he put it all on Jordan. It sounds like Jerry wanted all the perks of being a superstar and none of the responsibility.
If oneself can't remember Stackhouse being in that team with MJ, it shows how forgettable he was.

As the 2-time defending champ in 2011, Kobe got swept in the Semis by the Mavs. Lost to the Thunder in 5 the next year. Has the most bricks in NBA history. Shot 41% and 31% in the Finals.
How titles does the Clippers have?
LeBron missed the playoffs three times. Twice earlier in his career while Melo didn't miss it in his first 8 while in Denver in a tougher conference. LeBron got swept twice in the Finals.
And now Lebron is a top 3 player of all time. What’s your point?
WOW!!! talk about twisting words, he said he wanted to stay in detroit because they were on the way up and never wanted to go TO WASHINGTON. Never said anything about MJ DIRECTLY in that clip...WTF! He said he felt he was the #1 guy, but had to play second fiddle to MJ...name a play who dont want to be #1 in any team?? Down vote on this one gentlemen.
Thank you Rob G. They old heads are lost in nostalgia. There are really no honest takes when it come to Jordan.
@@charleswilliams6758 His HOF speech is all you need to know about Jordan's chatacter.
Lmao Jordan just does not look like himself with a goatee
Simon Sez lmao how???
I actually think it looks nice.
Killmonger 26
Because he’s essentially always only had just the mustache and maybe a soul patch if I remember correctly. It’s like how looking back at harden without a beard just doesn’t look like himself since we’ve become so accustomed to a certain style
KingMickD
It may look nice but still just not like himself to me
@@Simon_Sez I get what you mean we're uses to seeing him without facial hair.
What
Rob G, we know MJ the person vs MJ the basketball player.
An aloof.
How many times are you going to comment, get a life
We wore Jordan’s (specific ones) because they look good not because of what he did, in the 90s they prolli did but since then it’s strictly because of the look nothing else
The guy was just unstoppable 🐐🐐🐐🐐
78mfleet
Yeah people can argue he did drop 55 essentially right after coming back but I think that’s more about how skilled he was. Any of his downfalls in those playoffs would likely be more attributed to his conditioning rather than his skill but that’s just my opinion
No excuses, Jordan played and was healthy. The Bulls flat out lost to the Magic. And you fail to mention the Bulls getting Dennis Rodman after that
Jerome Marshall he played baseball before that and hes not in form yet. But the next year they swept magic.
Jordan lost a lot to the pistons and Celtics and couldn’t get out of the 1st round! It took him 8 years before he even went to the championship
The Wizards looked miserable playing with Jordan. MJ was dealing with a different bread of guys when he returned. They couldn't handle it. Jordan being like that got him 6 Rings!
Key Marie No....Jordan playing in the weakest era of basketball is the reason he has 6 rings.
Jordan getting pippen got him 6 rings
The newest Jordans are the best that I've seen in a loooooong time.
Agreed
Loved Stack as a Piston, he proved himself to me.
Damn Chris and Rob jock Jordan hard , I love black Jesus and yes he was probably the best ever though I think Kobe and bron are on his heels and can do everything he could pretty much and some stuff better , Mike was the man , but Rob and Chris he was human and Stackhouse brings up some good points , I don't want to hear about no 40% from the field , he had trouble playing along someone he was better than at the time , tables turned and Mike complaining , you guys would b all in
@james jordan James Jordan I'm not saying Stackhouse is even in the same breath as. Micheal Jordan , I'm speaking on the invincibility that people say he has over bron and Kobe in particular , and just the way Rob and Chris. Jock him so hard , now James on your question about big men , Paul pressy at 6 ft 4 believe it or not was I think our first original point foward for u young bucks , his athleticism qualified him , but of its not magic or Larry and your going real big men on athleteticism and semi modern era is say Dave Robinson , but brother u got me , I don't know Kareem , shaq , Durant , ?? You'll win this one , but we will go again
Tovey Chow I forgot stack was even on that championship Dallas team. JJ barea and Jason terry comes to mind before stack. That’s saying something.
Uh... He wasn’t on that 2011 Dallas team that won the chip. So judging him as a player just went right out the window... poser.

Jordan 11 was a game changer. I’ll never forget the first time I seen that shoe. 96
If the concord 11’s came out as the James Harden’s today, it would not be the long lines for them🤷🏽♂️the jumpman holds weight
I don't know, those shoes were special as soon as they were unveiled...the jumpman elevates them no doubt, but that design is perfect. A shoe perfect for the court all the way to a wedding.

@@marcus.6487 can't argue that, jordan was unreal🤯
Bro jordan changed the entire sneaker game period that alone makes him the goat. Remember Nike's were originally a running shoe .
What does Jordan being a bad Owner have to do with Jordan the player... and who the Fxxx is Stackhouse? is Stackhouse in the hall of fame? Did you know .....MJ Played two ✌ years with the Wizards and never collected a pay check, all was donated to charity.
Wait, so because Stackhouse isn’t in the hall of fame he can’t talk, but fans can say whatever they want about actually NBA quality players?
And why would he take a paycheck…? He was the owner and already a billionaire.
“You lose!” ... honestly, I found that to be a profound realization.
exactly, whats the point of saying it now?
@@AgentJ2007 44.5% u round that up and its 45. Simple estimate bro
AgentJ2007 in math we’re taught to round to the nearest number. So if Jordan shot 44.5%, you round it to 45%. Like for his career, he shot 49.7% from the field. That would make him a career 50%.

Jordan's career as a basketball player doesn't come close to that of Kareem's.
Compare their records from childhood...
The idea that Jordan is the G.O.A.T. is absolutely LUDICROUS!
They all erase the losses. Swept by Celtics.
Lost to the same pistons team Reaptedly!
He had to change his body to compeat. Then his team beat the pistons finally by the team getting better. Not to mention the pistons had been battling some of the greatest teams ever. For 7 yrs straight of playoff BATTLES. They did get worn down. But it would effect the Marketing to keep it 100%.

GREAT SHOW CHRIS AND ROB
Kareem was so good he only went to one finals and won one ring in the 1970s with Oscar Robertson. Didn't go-to the finals after 1971 until magic arrived in 1980. Kareem was in his prime in the 70s and still missed the playoffs with the Bucks and Lakers. Magic was the best player on the showtime Lakers. After 1983 Kareem was past his prime. Only a moron thinks kareem is the goat.
Jared Jones yet he was voted mvp 4 or 5 times by the playersv79-80 season they won with Magic Kareem was the best player in the league and on his he team! Never lost in College and won 6 chips with 6MVPs oh by the way scored the most points and still holds that record!
The bucks went to the finals in '71 AND '74. When he went to the Lakers he won 2 more MVPs and 1 more Magic's rookie year. Can you name any credible helpful teammates that Kareem had on the Lakers in the 70s? Honestly, go look at his teams before magic came in 1980
It took 13 seasons for MJ to get to 6 rings. It took 14 seasons for Kobe to get to 5. It took Kareem and Tom Brady 19 seasons to get to 6. Give me the car that's faster and more efficient.

Akeem Sincere And NOBODY cares what type of teammate you are when you’re leading your team to championships while winning finals MVP, 6 times over with zero Ls.
The Fact that you said NEVER, lets us know you ONLY have hate in your heart. You need to get a life. You were not on any team with JORDAN, so how do you know what kind of teammate he is. Sam Perkins, James Worthy, ETC.... claim they enjoyed playing with him. Ron Harper, BJ Armstrong, Scottie Pippen, Charles Oakley swear they would fight and die for Him. You haven't interviewed any of his former teammates. Six championships equals a lot of happy teammates. Younger players didn't like playing with Magic, Bird, and you even hear that kind of talk about LeBron. Disgruntled employees always hating. Rob G is correct on this one. Most men 40 or over can never be critical of MJ. They constantly glamorize him and only view his career through the lens of a 6 year period. Anything before or after the 6 year championship run, people gloss over it as if it never existed.
