Padme was a kid, too. People forget that because we're introduced to her as a queen and just assume that means adult, forgetting that child royalty is a thing.
9 year old being attracted to a 14 year old and vice versa is mega weird. 19 to 14 would have made much more sense to start the insane interest anakin shows in padme.
Not so weird. Most of us who were 9/10 were attracted or thought that someone older was attractive. It’s not so strange and only recently because we’re much more sensitive in this time period. Pasme isn’t as interested in him romantically as more curious because he’s so different from what she knows - royalty, castles etc.
What you need to watch: You do have to finish Rebels before Ahsoka, but Mandalorian S3 should be watched after Book of Boba Fett, because there's a couple of episodes where Mando turns up in Boba's show. If you haven't watched Andor yet, I highly recommend it. It's some of the best Star Wars content Disney has made. The only thing you need to watch first is Rogue One. It uses three episode story arcs, so think of each arc to be one long episode.
At 6:09 if you play the first "Force Unleashed" game, and go to the hunting lodge on Kasheek. Look around and you can see Jarjar frozen in carbonite like Hans. Stare at him for 5 minutes (In real time) and you get rewarded with a achievement called, "The Fate of jarjar". ROFLMAO
People forget that the movies were not bad but the vocal majority of older fans were upset at not seeing the bigger picture - episode 2 and 3 weren’t even hinted at yet. All they knew was that death Vader was now this little kid after so many fan theories And imagined lore.
I think my main source of enjoyment from this movie, was because it was the first Star Wars I ever got to see in theaters. The prequals lacked the grittiness' of the originals, and Anakin annoyed the hell out of me in the movies. How desperate and lonely was Amidala that she picked that winey arrogant edge lord? If it weren't for the clone wars I would still hate him.
I was definitely too young to have any taste when I watched this movie, and yeah, it's aged very poorly. Then again, the creators _knew_ by the time they released it that it wasn't a great movie. You can find behind-the-scenes and making-of videos, even reactions to the rough cut. Everyone is so frustrated because the movie was created in a way that it was difficult to alter, so they couldn't do much to salvage it.
