    Awesome presentation, I've been curious about these smaller cars for a while as a contrast to my Traxxas E-Revo 2.0, Rustler VXL and Bandit VXL. This would do nicely for snowy days of which there are plenty (for us in northern Europe at least).

    Can I ask, is there a reason why the red audi is cheaper than other readysets?

    • @jarvzRC
      @jarvzRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The red Audi R8 is cheaper as it doesn't come with bearings inside the wheels like the other MR-03 readysets. Instead, it comes with plastic bushings. The red Audi R8 is great value, because bearings are only ~ $10 USD to purchase separately and install yourself. Back in the Mini-Z MR-01 and MR-02 days, the readysets didn't come with bearings either.
      Here's a video I found in Japanese that explains it (Turn on Subtitles Auto-translate to English)
      th-cam.com/video/kezOOYsGQKU/w-d-xo.html
      Also in that video at 3min55s, he shows a comparison between bearings and bushings.

      Nice! Where did you get your Mini-Z from and which one did you go with?
      Only club I'm aware of is in Melbourne. Aussie Hobbies in Archerfield used to do Mini-Z racing on Friday nights, at the moment they only do Friday night drift nights with 1/10th scale RCs.
      I recently got a proper track that I'm going to use for racing soon in North Brisbane :) Stay tuned.

    Why are mini z so expensive? Like a 1/10 drift car is the same price. I got a YD-2s and with the electronics it was more expensive but not much more. I wish they sold mini z's without the body or transmitter.

    You may be able to get them cheaper from overseas but by the time you’ve payed taxes it will likely be more expensive.

    Mini zs are awesome but too expensive. $200 for the car and $50-$100 for just a new body/wheel set. Ridiculous prices to me for such a small car. You can get some decent 1/10 cars for that much. If they were more like $100 and $50 at the top end for new body/wheel sets that’d be better. I mean, they’re great quality and fun but I just can’t justify buying one for the price.

    great little rc car, bit too expensive to my economy. perhaps there is some ripoffs for this

      There might be ripoffs. But, you get what you pay for. They're expensive 'cause they're good quality. :)

      It is great and I agree a bit pricey. Look at some cheaper alternatives like the WL Toys one or Mini-Q but you’ll probably find they don’t run as well as Mini-Z’s.

    tbh, better get Tamiya if you can afford it, you build it yourself, and its bigger and faster. but if you have a big living room, Kyosho might be cool too. or if you live in a city.
