    I really think that HU challenge levelled Daniel up and brought his game forward. Glad to see you're still killing it against such a tough field of GTO pros with your own old school deviations

    • @Jermo484
      @Jermo484 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I assume many of even the best tournament players don't work that much on heads up. If you've gotten heads up, which is rare as is, you get there with stacks that are so shallow that there's very little play left. He's probably played/studied more heads up than any random 20 tournament pros combined.

    • @phillyng
      @phillyng ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Jermo484 I think it's an important part of tournament play, but agree that Daniel likely has an edge over the field heads up post-Polk challenge

      Those “old school deviations” are exploitative poker, which is what wins in live poker. No talent, GTO cultists don’t like to acknowledge that live poker is and has always been a social game.

    Dnegs- I love that story where back in the day when you started your own poker site, I think Full Contact Poker, and your team told you the company needed an infusion of cash, so you check where the next big tourney was and booked a plane ticket to the gulf coast and binked the main event for 600k or something like that. I wish you would tell that story again or at least correct me if I'm mistaking. Either way, an epic story on par with the bambino calling his shot.

    Well done DNegs.. cant wait to see how you finished it.

    Thank you for another wonderful video.
    How would you like to review some hands from three perspectives: one just showing your own cards (hide the opponent's cards), another from the opponent's perspective (hiding your cards and explaining what would the opponent see from your game), and finally show both.

    • @suibora

      @@Michael-iw3ek The cool thing is that he could do two versions - one with the cards hidden, then a few weeks later, a version that shows the cards. That would at least cut down on the "Oh that's a snap call, he's always bluffing here" and the, "Oh that's a snap fold, he's never bluffing here lol" type comments (at least it would cut down on those comments on the first version of the video - you'd still have to deal with those comments on the 2nd vid)

    Daniel, I love you but:
    15:43 - “KQ, AQ maybe. But I don’t have those because I would have re-raised preflop”
    You just told us we should also limp with big hands because we have to limp a lot heads up
    So you could have AQ no? 🤷

  • @TheOldManTheBoat
    @TheOldManTheBoat ปีที่แล้ว

    On the river, you chose a bet size you'd use if you wanted Nick to fold a Q, but given that Nick called much lighter than Qx, he's probably always calling a Q. So maybe an overbet would make more sense if you wanted Nick's Qx to be indifferent between calling and folding? Or do you still think your sizing was good?

    A5 8T JT QT Q9 95 J5 and sometime KT QQ JJ 99 AQ AJ on value
    but ok he dont have a spade so maybe you have more bluff and the call is corect
