    Hi Kevin, you don't have to take the pipe off. Just the metal clips and the filter comes out.

      No you don’t have to. This is the way the Porsche manual says to do it. It makes it slightly easier when your trying to line up the filter and the cover when your putting it back together.

    The Germans overengineer everything. If it was a Toyota air filter changed in 1 minute

      Its more fun to drive a Porsche than a Toyota

    Do you know when to change the transmission oil?

    • @KevinsEuropeanGarage

      Thanks for watching, according to the maintenance chart Porsche says it’s every 160k or 16 years. I wouldn’t wait that long. I believe they think of it as lifetime fluid. But they also think that way of the transfer case fluid. I’m planning on doing mine before I hit 100k. I should be doing a video on it in the near future.

    HELP! Still trying to remove drain plugs in wheel well on 2012, 3.6 --- but unable to get the liners off...!!! Took screws out of wheel well and under the wheel well, but it seems the rocker panel is holding the liner on. Cant remove rocker panel. Suggestions?

    • @KevinsEuropeanGarage
      @KevinsEuropeanGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Stan I’ve never taken off the inner wheel liner to cleans drains. I do t have a sunroof. But what I think you might need to do is, you might have to remove the wheel arch trim those come off pretty easy. That might be what’s hanging up the liner. Let me know if that helps. Good luck!

    Wow german cars are so unnecessarily complicated. Changing this filter on Japanese cars is truly a breeze. This is too hard, will go without changing.

      Thanks its not that bad once you’ve done it some Japanese cars can be just as difficult or worse

    Lol it's easy in a clean newer car do one that has 100k and a owner doesn't care
