Further info (please read) - Passport holders from 38 countries can enter China visa-free for up to 30 days. This is different (and better) than the 240-hr visa-free travel policy featured in this video. CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR COUNTRY IS ON THIS LIST! The full list of European countries now includes Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Switzerland. Passport holders from Malaysia, New Zealand and Japan are also eligible.

10 days is not enough! We came back from China yesterday. 3 nights in Shanghai, 3 nights in Nanjing ( lots of historical sites), a night in Yichang to catch a 4 night cruise to Chongqing ( visited the the iconic 3 Gorges Dam), 3 nights in Chongqing ( incredible place too!). Wanted to go to Chengdu too but did not have enough time. We are Malaysians passport holders but resident in England. We have 30 day free visa ( was 15 a few weeks before). From London to Beijing or Shanghai is only a 10 hr direct flight as their airlines fly through Russian air space. Affordable flight tickets.

I would wish for 30 days tranist visa from Chinese government if possible :) In my last trip, I got to visit all the places I wanted in about 20ish days, and I still got myself a few days of spare time to do the shopping. My itinerary were Beijing-6 days, Shanghai-15 days, Hangzhou-7 days, I had visted water park, disneyland, those ancient temples and forbidden city, great wall, the usual. Took a few photos with my trusty canon r10. Although I visted all the touristy spots, I couldn't shake the feeling that I barely scratched the surface, I was only able to explore a few suburbs / districts in each city in my spare moments without a guide, got a glimpse of the non-touristy china, didn't understand a word, but it was fun.
