I was literally going to build this base tonight in response to my groups current needs! I was really stressed about all the base changes since this base was revised and trying to workout all the issues. I really can't wait to build it! This video answers all of my questions that I had.
I seriously like this concept, I play in a trip to a five man squad so the ability to put up multiple very powerful and cheap bases up when needs be that compliment each over seems cool, great work and nice to see you back
Yes, the use of multiple smaller bases is something that does not seem to be too popular yet. It's the most cost-efficient way possible of making your group hard to raid.
I'm really picky about bases. This one, however, really interests me. I think I'm going to have to try this. You put so much time and effort into creating and recreating these bases. You give tons of tips and information. You optimize everything to an incredible level. AND you put a ton of time and love into editing. It's amazing. Edit: As I've said before, you have a very pleasant accent. Tie that all together with some solid music choices and it's safe to say this is a pleasure to watch AND listen to. You're a 10/10 content creator, Evil Wurst. You're doing things right!
Since you dindt do electricity in many of your previous videos, I had to do it myself and figured out some smart wiring. And I have to say that the wiring in this base is extraordinary. really well done mr. wurst. Especially the location of the battery and the root combinder after the battery to add an alternative electric source in case of e.g. an online raid. I would like to add the possibility that you can wire the door controllers for the garage doors for the autoturrets directly after their consequent autoturret. In this case, the autoturret compartements will shut down before their autoturret shuts down, but not all compartements will shut down before one autoturret shuts down.
Thank you! About binding the garage doors and the auto turrets to the same switch, I am not a big fan of that, since the auto turret takes 1-2 seconds to boot up before it starts firing. That might give door campers and raiders the split second to take cover.
@@EvilWurst Oh, thats not what I meant. In your configuration, the garage doors shut down one after another. So at medium electric capacity, all garage doors are ahut, but all turrets are on. By wiring the turrets and the door controllers in an ABAB pattern, first, the garage doors of one turret pod will shut down, then its turret will shut down with the other turrets and door controllers still powered. I hope my english isnt that screwed up in this answer, so I am comprehensible
The leech has always been my second favorite of your base designs (behind only the minifort!), and the only thing preventing me from building it more often is the lack of helipad (and not usually having the turrets lying around >.>). This refreshed design is fantastic and thanks for taking the time to share it with the world!
Wonderful design, well thought out and excellently presented. One minor note is to secure the root combiner's better, they provide all your power to turrets, so one door to then defeat 4 turrets with a melee tool is silly when they could easily be in the core. So I finally put this base into action and once I finish fine tuning I may have an impenetrable mini iceberg base. As always love your designs, and thank you for sharing your work with the rest of us!
This is the sickest base ever, i built this on a duo 3x server and never got raided. Once you get the turrents setup with power and doors its stupid op if you hear people outside door camping you. since the turrents cover the ramp doors, when you switch power to the door it blast anyone near your base. I went a step further and place more power to lights to light up the base and the outside so if someone is camping nearby out of turrent range i can see them clear as day at night. 10/10 for base design the bunker holds everything we need as a duo

@@inafareno2196 The upside to it, is it looks like a solo base, most clans don't bother with solos unless they have been an itch in everything they do, or they are just garbage and can't handle anything more challenging.
It doesn't really matter. If clans go looking for bases to raid it doesn't even matter if its a big clan base or small solo As long as it looks good and isn't just some ez base design like 2/2 bunker with honeycomb...

Branch to switch to 6 branches in a set going to each individual turret. Switches waste electricity and only one is necessary. That electricity could be used for heaters in the cold, lights for the night, or more turrets. If you are going to be wasteful with electricity, put every turret behind a double door with turret to HBHF sensor to door controller for each. Hard to get rid of in raids, once the turret is dead the gun is protected and despawns or you can retrieve it later. Draining is hard with the sensor, and destroying is a two man job. And still, you won't get the gun unless you break the door.
If you leave the window behind the turret as window bars you can splash out the window as well as the armoured floor for 15 rockets dropping you down right into 1 square of the 2x1

There are far too many boring inefficient 5x5 designs out right now, or anything else is too expensive for a medium group of semi committed friends who just want to pvp and have a great base for online raids. What would your solution be? But I just want to thank you so much for keeping building interesting and showcasing inspirational ideas... idk where the building community would be without you! I am not sure whether I possess the right in-game experience to make a base like you describe. My bases usually get offlined, and for online defense, I found the approach of having multiple bases closeby unbeatable.
@@EvilWurst Ik the feeling. Most of the time our bases get offlined too but due to having flank bases dotted around it doesn't take long for us to get back onto our feet. Thank you for the feedback, I'll suggest it to my friends and we will see if we can get something like that to work
If you decide to use the Shoot Seal with the Roof when you get offline, or you're getting raided, be sure to upgrade the half wall to Wood and put the soft side towards you, do not leave it Twig, one incin rocket and its broken

Yes, many times. The reasons why I am not doing it is: * I am not good at playing and talking in an entertaining fashion * I cannot match the aim of all those PVP players * I have limited time. Gameplay = no build videos

Could you come up with a bunker style honeycomb? So one rocket would break the twig, exposing the honeycomb, to find a turret behind it? Could be a really good way of adding a surprise to a second honeycomb layer
I really like this kind of base because of its hyper efficiency but my main issue is that i don't think that considering their protection they are able to hold for a entire wipe. I play mostly solo, and i always endup building your smallgroup bases because i don't like the idea of losing all my gear so fast, even if i have to farm all day long for the upkeep. My main feeling is that if i playing solo can get that amount of rockets, what does stop a group from doing the same, also i do a lot of pvp and end up generating a lot of hate so the entire wipe i see groups just looking for my base like crazy. as i said, i like this bases, mostly because it almost allows you to acces every chest from the same spot, thats why i don't usually build frustrator type bases, i don't like having to walk from room to room to find a chestplate, even tho i know this increases the raid cost by a lot. so at the end i have two options, build a small group base with the lootrooms with not much separation between each one or just build the foundation of a solo/duo base and then honeycomb it until it looks like a group base. (sorry if all this text doesn't make any sense, i just wanted to share my thoughts
Yes, that makes perfect sense, and if you tend to make enemy of large & dedicated groups, this base is not for you as a main base. It makes a great flanking base though
You cant access them with the glass windows on, you need to remove them in order to access them. I would suggest to keep the glass windows off, until you go offline, leave the base for a while, or are getting raided.

Not quite, but I will make an update of the Original Frustrator, and I am exploring options to make it adaptable for larger groups
