This gives me ideas for how to tweak my upgraded Thrifty Scott concept. I mainly use the Scott as a farming base or bandit shack but I have found myself using that as my main base when solo.
I don’t know if you thought this out, but raiders could jackhammer the foundations (external tc take over roof honeycomb) and by that take down the roofs much easier so they could blow straight through walls into main core, if you understand what I’m sayin.
I like how you spend the time actually discussing how you got the idea for the design of the base. Rather than just pumping out bases all the time it shows that there is actually thought going into each base design.
The pressure pad technique is literally genius, especially for the hangar. Insane amount of effort put into this design and well worth it for the result imo, keep up the vids :)
Oh my, where do i even start. Used the raptor for the first time this wipe on a vanilla and it’s a beauty. We had onlined our biggest enemy and guess what the server restarted as we raided, yup.. we knew they where going to offline raid us as they where major wuzzies, they endes up spending 49 rockets and got 1 of the 2 loot rooms wich had components and shit in it, they got neither tc nor the juicy loot room. I must say this design is amazing!! Compact and small but just enough for a 3 man and strong indeed, big ups Will try this one again with some tweaks maybe. Big love to u wurst

No need to rush t3, u can easily destroy t2 with shotgun trap, simply aim on the t2 and de auth then stand next to it. It will take about 2-3 stacks of ammo to kill the t2 - when done auth and pick up the shotgun trap
in rustberg we just need to type /remove in chat and the use a hammer to whack the t2 and boom, t2 gone and it resources back (sorry for the late comment ;p)
This has been one of my favorite layouts since before the half walls. It is really good and pretty cheap and gives great protection for the number of booms it takes. The electric is a bit sketch and probably could be done differently, but otherwise the rest of the base looks pretty good, like a refined and polished version of the old layout. The roof tiles are a great way to add just that extra bit of protection for the bottom layer. Roof tiles are some times hard to use effectively, but if you can find out away, they can sometimes save you resources, which I think this designed does well.

Great layout. Have built the base and it has served me well. Quick tip for anyone who isn't as experienced with placements etc (Like me), I found it difficult to repair the reinforced glass window and embraser when placed onto TC window. It may have been due to my box placements, but I found using the Gary's Mod Tool Gun will repair it even from a distance, worked a charm! Just a heads up if anyone had the same issue. A good idea is to connect the garage doors to the auto turrets low ammo output and in turn make the garage doors close so grubs don’t spear your turrets out
This is my favourite base for solo duo, I have long wanted a base that can be built in steps with turrets on the outside. And the roof honeycombe is beautiful

Suggestion: 8:45 - don't close of the whole triangle above TC. Use the lower half as honeycome and half wall the upper one to main entry side to get an additional defensive layer. You can place traps there, throw gerandes or jump up, gunfight and close doors. ;)

Love the video man and sick base design! Just an idea with the electrics.. You could use an rf receiver in the external tc's to remotely open the garage doors with turrets behind for a raid defence. Proper simple! You could also add 2 branches and a blocker before the turrets splitter to power everything via the sun during the day (any excess power charges the battery) and when its night- it'll auto switch over to being battery powered. 1st branch left output to the blocker input (set at 40 or how much power you need for the circuit), right output to the 2nd branch input, then the 2nd branch left output to the blocker (blocker passthrough) and the right output to the input of the battery. Blocker output to the turret's splitter. Sounds bit confusing to explain but its proper simple really!

If you plan on using high walls in-between the external TC's stair cases (27:40), make sure to only use one row of stairs. The high walls won't connect in between, and leave gaps (correct me if i'm wrong, or misunderstanding building mechanics)
It's actually really simple but complexity contains everything that you would need but looks good but the thing is I'm looking for vanilla builds right now this one's not for that this is definitely at least a duo unless you have a lot of time on your hands or you play 5X still a great build always like seeing your videos always click on I always know they're good
When doing the loot rooms I've found using the front black line on stone floor to place the BBQ legs will result in perfect placement every time so you don't have to worry about not reaching the boxes / BBQ
Zachary Arntz i dont understand why you wouldnt go with garage doors instead of the windows. they cost the same to raid and the raider won't immediately know there is loot in there either
As it stands this base can currently be made on console without much trouble. As well on console you can pick up the workbenches instead of having to break them.
I found that using a single door where the armored double door is and 1 double door where the garage door is as the airlock for the main entrance works quite well
After building it this wipe, i found that you can use one triangle in the honeycomb space behind the lootrooms to build the tier 2 workbench, then wall it off (the wooden lootroom build helpers can be moved in the turret triangles). Also, using garage doors doesn't impact the raid cost by much and greatly improves mobility inside the core. Moreover, there is an extremely interesting video from Sir Taiga reviewing the Joker from Papa Percocet which provides useful improvements that can also be used here : th-cam.com/video/c58Cbu7wIgc/w-d-xo.html . I find that building Sir Taiga's shooting floor on top of the Raptor further increases the futuristic look of the base. Keep up the amazing work Evil Wurst, I'll keep binge-watching your content as long as you provide.
Also realized I use a similar footprint, only my square tiles are at half height to squeeze three furnaces into the triangle floor gap. You walk across it like a normal floor.

I found that if you cant get one of the roof sections to place, try switching to building a wall, then it it shows where you want it, switch to the roof and it will be where you need it.
Love this design I really enjoyed using it on my first wipe of 2020. I would like to see a smaller base/cheaper if possible since I usually roll solo or duo! Much love
I think with a few extra triangles on the shooting floor it could make for a nice shooting floor, also protecting you if there's mountains/hills above you from other players. Which in the shooting floor would have door peekdowns to outside too. I've never used the barricades and always interpreted to use a bit more covered shooting floor for my sakes, I find them a bit weak in terms of protection if you're shooting from that floor/height of the base.
Only mistake here is that the vertical embrasure or whatever you spell it on TC should be from the other side so they cant splash but its wonderful base design

That's weird. I only ever enable skippable ads. Though I have notice that TH-cam sometimes serves very short unskippable videos in the "skippable" category. And yes, I observe it myself that at some times of the day, typically in the late evening, TH-cam inserts A LOT of ad breaks. I switched to Premium (no ads!), and my TH-cam experience has never been better

upgrade the roof sided foundations because if they got destroyed you can't rebuild them because the roof. build a 3rd floor and level up the turret you can build an awesome air lock 2 single doors 1 double door. awesome base gg
i actually made the exact same footprint a while back while experimenting with base designs but had the same problem with honey comb being expensive and big and scrapped it, untill i saw this video making use of sloped roofs. genius!

if your willing to change the armoured door change it to cell gate and put a double door it becomes a really nice airlock that u can shoot out of

At 27:40 you see my suggestion for a shooting floor. It's a very basic one with outer peekdowns, as you describe it

@@EvilWurst I was hit with ads every few minutes, some that were unskippable. I actually couldn't finish your video because of it. Sorry for the negative comment, but it was a horrible experience. Hopefully, it was just a fluke. Cheers.
That's weird. I only ever enable skippable ads. Though I have notice that TH-cam sometimes serves very short unskippable videos in the "skippable" category.
And yes, I observe it myself that at some times of the day, typically in the late evening, TH-cam inserts A LOT of ad breaks. I switched to Premium (no ads!), and my TH-cam experience has never been better

The placements of the workbenches are better now and u can use triangle roofs for smoother honeycomb now

upgrade the roof sided foundations because if they got destroyed you can't rebuild them because the roof. build a 3rd floor and level up the turret you can build an awesome air lock 2 single doors 1 double door. awesome base gg
i actually made the exact same footprint a while back while experimenting with base designs but had the same problem with honey comb being expensive and big and scrapped it, untill i saw this video making use of sloped roofs. genius!
