He once stayed at the hotel that I used to work room service in (a few years ago when Fun was huge). He was a self-important, too-cool douche. He couldn't get off his phone for 2 seconds to acknowledge me and seemed pissed that he had to endure the huge inconvenience of signing off for his room service charge. He also, if I remember correctly, only tipped like $1-2 on a $20 order. But yeah, stand-up guy.

This is an example of a fantastic song. Sounds a little bit like 1992's "Friday I'm In Love" by the Cure, but it's by no means a rip-off. Just a bit similar. Nothing wrong with that. Both are great songs.
In an interview, Jack Antonoff said he was going for that mid '80s John Hughes movie soundtrack sound. I'd say he nailed it. When this song first came out, it took me right back to when I was coming of age. Thing is, that time for me was mid-late '80s.
