Ok so when is Miike going to release part two so that we can watch the epic dance-off between the three of them? I would literally pay to see that. This music video has the appeal of a movie in 4 minutes time
There is actually another Miike video featuring these two...from memories it's less hopeful. They play two PM's of opposing nations..but they still dance.
Those are some fantastic minions. There with the remote, there with the backup singing, ready to shoot down escaping agents, and respectfully jamming out in the background as their boss accepts his love for the agent.
I love this music video so much. The song, the dancing, THE HAND JIGGLE WHEN HE'S COMING DOWN THE STAIRS AT THE VILLAIN, the "stop and 'ooo'", and my personal favorite, watching the minions in the background tap to the beat in the background, some barely moving their hands, some moving their hands AND their heads, it's great.
The part where he releases him, only to find out that the captive is in to it, and then the villain turns around with that pleasant smile - simply brilliant. Best video ever.
I like how everyone goes home when it's quitting time, shows that he abides by union rules about reasonable hours & overtime. He's a super villiain, not a soulless corporate CEO
Truly, all the best romances start from interpretative dance, a torture table, and supportive background minions. (Love that one cheeky soldier who sings "ooh" and gives a smug smirk like he's been shipping these two together for years and his OTP has just been confirmed.)

from a film perspective this video deserves all the awards, from the cinematic look and feel, to the angles and the old film look and colour pallet used its perfect in every way , the edit is fantastic, its well acted and the song and video are a match unlike most seen now days … its just nice to see real effort put into some videos now and again...
I don't know if it's just me, but whilst the production values are high, it still feels very grounded and indie (in a good way.) It kinda feels like something that, if you really wanted to, you and a couple buddies can make. You can just FEEEL the passion radiating off of this video.
@@michaelralphs5593 I can agree with that, I make music video as well and yes with passion, a few good friends and at least a few bucks for lighting you can make some magic happen ….but this is solid, like the throw back colour is amazingly well done etc …. so I mean they def knew what they were doing … the quality of the video is just mind blowing from a film perspective ...10/10 will watch again ….and again ...and again lol...

This is probably the most expressive dance routine I’ve seen in any video at any point. You can almost see everything he is feeling throughout and it’s awesome.
Check out Christopher Walken's dancing in the video for Weapon of Choice by Fatboy Slim. Similar in how the moves are so expressive, they're almost dialogue.
This is legitimately one of my favorite music videos ever. So unexpectedly wholesome. And the only flaw is I feel awful for the wife being tossed aside like that but then she gets her own cool ending and I'm just. So overjoyed.
He has a job so of course he gets custody. If you notice that the kids look a bit happier with Spy Dad, the girl has her hair down and out of braids. The boys hairs look freer too.
+Stimpyfied Musical genuis? Don't give me wrong, it's not a bad song but it's just following the same old formula for pop. It brings nothing new and as for pure musical talent? Empty.
It’s such a perfect touch. That and the henchmen starting to get in to it in the background once they start dancing around. Like “Heck yeah boss, you finally seem happy!” Love it!!
I have never actually watched this video until right now, and I just can't say how much I regret all the times I have listened to this song and not watched the video. It was better than I could have ever expected.
the lighting in this portrays the mood so well. when it shows him with the wife everything is all blue and gloomy but when he's with the guy the lighting changes so drastically and the whole place is just flooded with a warm bright orange glow that further demonstrates the happiness in the moment. i really love the little details like that in this!!
I also loved how he kept the collar of his uniform jacket up the entire time, but had it down in the dinner scene with the agent. Like, he literally felt at ease enough to let his guard down in that scene. It's great.
You can also see in the bed scene right before it cuts, with his wife off to the left of the scene is where the darker blue shadows is, and the warm orange light coming in from the right, which is the direction he decides to turn into instead of going to lay down with his wife. So cute!
This is one of those songs you see in your recommended and not think twice of it, but then later you actually listen to it after hearing it somewhere, and then it's one of your new favorites
I really like this video, and feel like it could easily be adapted into an actual movie. A super villain develops a crush on his nemesis (A James Bond style secret agent), and slowly falls in love with him over the years. For a while, the villain is depressed, and his wife somehow finds out the reason. She realizes that she's losing him (this is shown by how her expression changes at the dinner scene). Eventually, the super villain discovers that his love isn't simply one-sided, as he had previously thought, and so he and the agent hook up. The villain (who had been under the impression that his original marriage was a completely loveless one) files for a divorce with his wife, so that he may finally live a happy life (with his partner). The wife disappears for a while, but eventually resurfaces as a new super villain (one who happens to be much more effective than her former husband... Mainly because she has motivation, and is determined to complete what she set out to do), taking the seat on the council that her husband had previously held, and making it her mission to take out the agent (under the guise of wanting to finish what her husband failed to do, but in reality, she truly loved her husband, and is filled with an immense hatred for the man who took him from her).
This director caught my brain waves and translated them directly into video form. It's funny, energetic, absurd, joyful, even a little sad. The romance is beautiful. I've watched this silly thing more times than I'd like to admit.
In the 2nd video, where she gets revenge: same ending. Kiddos have two daddies and a mommy, all under one roof. Also, they are in high school now and attracting their own [notspoilingit]friends! (Too bad there's nothing to spoil because if there's a part 2 for this vid, I've not seen it. Alas.)
The look on the wife's face during dinner is some of the best acting ever. She's trying so hard to make him happy, then realises it is hopeless. Expressing all that without a word is the pinnacle of acting.
So perfectly. I've been on that side of the relationship and she just demonstrated it perfectly. The acting in this short video is extraordinary.

from a film perspective this video deserves all the awards, from the cinematic look and feel, to the angles and the old film look and colour pallet used its perfect in every way , the edit is fantastic, its well acted and the song and video are a match unlike most seen now days … its just nice to see real effort put into some videos now and again...
I don't know if it's just me, but whilst the production values are high, it still feels very grounded and indie (in a good way.)

@@michaelralphs5593 I can agree with that, I make music video as well and yes with passion, a few good friends and at least a few bucks for lighting you can make some magic happen ….but this is solid, like the throw back colour is amazingly well done etc …. so I mean they def knew what they were doing … the quality of the video is just mind blowing from a film perspective ...10/10 will watch again ….and again ...and again lol...

the lighting in this portrays the mood so well. when it shows him with the wife everything is all blue and gloomy but when he's with the guy the lighting changes so drastically and the whole place is just flooded with a warm bright orange glow that further demonstrates the happiness in the moment. i really love the little details like that in this!!
I also loved how he kept the collar of his uniform jacket up the entire time, but had it down in the dinner scene with the agent. Like, he literally felt at ease enough to let his guard down in that scene. It's great.
Dat OSHA compliance.
You can also see in the bed scene right before it cuts, with his wife off to the left of the scene is where the darker blue shadows is, and the warm orange light coming in from the right, which is the direction he decides to turn into instead of going to lay down with his wife. So cute!
