It's crazy, we're at the end of the NFL season and had the NCAAA football semi-finals this weekend, but THIS will be the story tomorrow.
Luka's shooting is amazing to me. He reminds me of Larry Bird in that he can take these weird, off-balance circus shots and make them go in. Not just once or twice, but pretty consistently. Truly a gift.
Yeh Larry was last guy I remember who used to pull these shots off from everywhere. I used to love his random off balance 3s from nowhere. You just knew it was going in

This was the best single performance in nba history not even counting his stats what made this game special is how special the attitude of Luka is. Luca is good, he may even have the talent, but that is not enough to be a top 5 player.
That... well... I'm in my 50s and been a rabid basketball player and fan literally my entire life and seen some incredible live basketball played at all levels. I watched Jordan live do things I didn't think would ever be repeated. I've watched Bird and Magic go head to head and just give a master-class in how the game is played. I've watched Stock and the Mailman just destroy defenses who knew EXACTLY what they were going to do but still couldn't even slow them down much less stop them. I watched Shaquille O'Neal bully 7 foot 250lb men like they were small children. I thought I had seen everything a man could do on a basketball court. I was wrong. I've never seen another player just be on an entirely different level than anyone around him quite like that. I remember the commercial with Scottie Pippen were he was having a dream that he was transported back to 1950s NBA and was just destroying everyone in his path. This was worse. It was like watching my HS Varsity playing 6' 4" son go up full speed against an 8 year old. Unreal just doesn't sum it up properly. I don't care about the 'team record' at this point. You watch that game and how can you possibly NOT vote Luka as the Most Valuable Player? How much more valuable to your team can you be than to put up that stat line AND lead your team back to a historic comeback win?
Great comment. Another level altogether. The fact Luka doesn't look like he's even trying hard should scare anyone not wearing a Mavs jersey. All this talk about Luke developing an "above the rim" game is just sheer fanboyisms, totally detached from what "another level" even means.
A future hall of famer for sure 💯 Also, we all know MJ is a 🐐 but it never fails to amaze me how he almost always comes out on top in most of these stats.
So many insane things here. I had to watch this video twice. Great job! I can’t believe he only shot 2-6 on 3’s. That’s crazy for today’s era. The comeback. The shot to tie it! Luka is creating his own path. It’ll be interesting to see what levels he can reach. The fact that he’s putting up numbers that people like MJ and Lebron did (and sometimes more!)….just wow.
every so often I come back to watch this video. Because it shows the greatest and least talked about aspects of the game. The love players have and the joys that come with it.
I was literally crying when the game finished. One thing I wish you talked about at the beginning was the idiocy of Christian wood thinking he was being subbed out of the game (for Javale McGee) before luka missed the second free throw. He’s the one who tipped the ball to luka and helped this extend this game. Wood got zero stats for that play, and his basketball IQ is alarming. What 8 RPG player thinks they’re getting subbed out during an intentional missed ft situation?!
you know what, the comeback also started when Wood hit his 3 to make it a 6 points game at 20 something seconds of the game lol. I guess no matter who was in, basketball gods would've rewarded the team that played hard upto the last second which was the mavs. intentionally missing and getting an actual shot and making it is almost impossible without some very high luck.

This was the best single performance in nba history not even counting his stats what made this game special is how special the attitude of Luka is. Not many nba players would try as hard he did to win a game down 9 with 30 sec left. That is why Luka is a goat candidate he has the skills but many others do it's his killer instinct and how cold blooded he is in trying to win that makes him stand out. Luka at this pace might be the best player anyone's seen. I hope he continues to have a long and successful career. Hes my favorite.
Best thing is, I remember all those haters saying that he was overhyped and that being good in Europe meant nothing, that he would bust in the NBA. Oh boy they got quiet real quick. I watch from overseas and I've seen every single Dallas match in the last two years and every single freaking night he puts up some ridiculous highlights. His highlight reel after a couple of years in the league is longer than most of the players career highlight video.
I think Luka is a very great player at such a young age. He has now joined the high scoring players elite Wilt 100, Kobe 81, David Thompson, 73, David Robinson & Elgin Baylor 71 and Devin Booker 70.
He is amazing! He made NBA history with that triple double!
This aged somewhat... there was a boy in Cleveland who just put up the THIRD highest game score ever less than a week after Luka's performance
I remember when I first watched Luka play a few seasons ago. I said, “that kids pretty damn good”
And look at him now. I’m not surprised at all. He’s incredible!
I'm so glad I got to watch this live. This game is the kind of game I'm going to tell my kids about when I'm explaining to them that Luka Doncic was the greatest basketball player to ever pick up a ball
Welp..... here's the MVP trophy, Luka.
Good game, bad omen, when your superstar is carrying the whole team on a regular basis, it's a recipe for workhorse breakdown.

Jokic to Mavs would literally be unstoppable
One thing I wish you talked about at the beginning was the idiocy of Christian wood thinking he was being subbed out of the game (for Javale McGee) before luka missed the second free throw. He’s the one who tipped the ball to luka and helped this extend this game. Wood got zero stats for that play, and his basketball IQ is alarming. What 8 RPG player thinks they’re getting subbed out during an intentional missed ft situation?!
Chill🤣🤣🤣
Calm down they got the win hahah happy holidays
you know what, the comeback also started when Wood hit his 3 to make it a 6 points game at 20 something seconds of the game lol. I guess no matter who was in, basketball gods would've rewarded the team that played hard upto the last second which was the mavs. intentionally missing and getting an actual shot and making it is almost impossible without some very high luck.
