Many newbies think that buying a new yacht results in a trouble-free experience when, in fact, they don't realize that a new yacht can have 150 defects! If you fail to survey a new yacht you are asking for trouble. I actually think that a well-maintained 3-5 year old yacht is less trouble and a better value.
