Welcome home Lilly, it’s so nice to have her back isn’t it bless the vet for taking care of her too.
Thank you for allowing us to take the journey with Lily and all of you. We will be brave, we will be hopeful, we will be supportive. Some day we will see Lily in her special wheel chair, and that will be okay. In the meantime we will enjoy every waking moment and be grateful to God for what we have--all of you and all the dogs. I will pray that Lily's legs last as long as possible.

This past summer, my 14 year old German Shepherd & Lab mix was diagnosed with myelopathy in her right hind leg. 🥹 Her condition is progressing rapidly.
Like Lilly she has been an active dog, but her age is catching up with her. Her mobility and endurance have gone down noticeably. But, she keeps going to the best of her ability. A wheelchair is not too far in the future for her, probably this summer 🥹. Wishing the best, and

My boy had it, he refused a wheelchair, such a stubborn boy ❤Do you have a helpemup harness? It was a godsend.
@@kathc349 yes, I made her one myself, she’s very tough to fit with commercial ones. I made her two in fact lol
I will have to device something to start conditioning her to a wheelchair. Never thought that it could be refused. We have a vet appointment next week. I’ll be sure to ask, thank you!
It’s so heartbreaking to watch our fur babies deteriorate. My Stitch had myelopathy also, this was several years ago. Recently I’ve been reading about alternative therapies like Prolotherapy, PRP and stem cell for people and dogs with degenerative diseases and ligament tears.. I know these therapies can be expensive but if it’s an option, might be worth researching. I wish I had known about these then. 💗

So glad to hear the initial report on Lily is so positive! I'm sure you're right Luke, that Lily's attitude is contributing to how well she's doing, but also that you and Sam are so dedicated to her care, making the effort to get her to Neil and now, to do the laser treatments with her at the farm. Keeping good thoughts that Lily is running with her pack for a long time. ❤

Seeing Lily made me cry a lot , lost our wonderful GSD girl august last year and it hurts so much . She was 11 1/2 and I miss her so god damn much . She was my strength and at times I have none . Feel so lost .

Your LILY looks exactly like my GSD ELLIE!! I adopted/saved my girl from an abuse/neglect home situation, when she was 14months old. She has separation anxiety, but is now 9-1/2 years old. She is part of my pack of 4 dogs, 2, cats, 2 turkeys, and 21 chickens. Everyone gets along famously with each different breed. I am so very BLESSED!!!

The chorus was so full throated and expressive, sopranos, altos, and tenors. Cutie pie’s howling literally lifting her off her front paws is too cute. The tail wagging going on amongst the pack members must have created a strong breeze as well. Lily, look what you started, darling girl. My last German Shepherd was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy at nine years old and we did laser therapy ,Hydro therapy ,supplements, and she eventually ended up in a wheelchair and the disease moved from her back end forward to her chest, and it changed her bark, it changed her vocalizations, and eventually moved forward to her front legs where she wouldn’t be able to even sit up and the really hard part of this disease is that although their body is deteriorating, their mind is not and that’s the really hard part when you have to say goodbye
They say it is in a dog what ALS is to a human and it’s unfortunate that this disease hasn’t been studied more to make strides to help dogs who have it
I wish Lily more happy beautiful days ahead and that she continues to fight and enjoy every moment with her family and her pack

Sweet Lily my heart breaks for you. My adopted German Shepherd was diagnosed with cancer and it had spread to her lymph nodes .They only gave her three months to live, but we decided to start chemo and she’s still with us and it’s been almost a year but I can tell she’s getting much worse. They said the chemo would only postpone everything a little longer . Every moment we have with her is precious .She is the sweetest thing ever. Her name is Ziva. We love you too Lily.
