- Luke and I have felt we wanted to honour our dear Barney passing tragically by giving another Boxer from Boxer Rescue Network Australia (BRNA) a life here with us. BRNA did so much for Barney, a dog that, like they said, wasn’t supposed to live. Barney loved this life so much, we felt like another special dog would surely love it too.
I’ve been following Moose’s story from the start. Surrendered to BRNA because the neighbours had threatened to shoot him for jumping the fence with their alpacas. He did no harm to them. He was surrendered alongside his sister Posie, they were a bonded pair.
They were unable to be adopted together. But Posie has found her home already which is wonderful. Moose has had a few trials with homes but it just hasn’t ended up working out.
Most recently he has been with Destenee, a lovely farm doggy daycare owner who has been fostering him. She has three boxers of her own. Turns out, Moose loves the pack life. He likes the company. Had a little separation anxiety when he arrived at Destenee’s and we could see it here at the farm. He really just wants lots of company all the time.
His criteria read like it was speaking to us personally. Family, lots and lots of dogs, high fences, acreage, someone home all the time.
I contacted Claire and Dagma at BRNA and said we’d like to be his backup plan if no one comes forward. Sounds like he’d love the farm.
Well Claire who I spoke to at BRNA thought we were exactly the kind of home they had hoped for Moose.
We’re excited to have Moose home here at the farm, he had a great first day full of lots of firsts and he’s ready to start his new big life with his new big family.

Welcome Moose. I love how Roscoe went to meet him and then stood in front of his Mum letting Moose know this is Roscoe's Mum and she is off limits. LOL Moose will be swimming in no time. Freddo let Moose know he is the Sheriff and the toys are his. Moose's face when he saw King Louis was priceless.
Moose is so beautiful. With his jumping ability, his speed when he runs, his friendliness with the kids and you, his large tongue and finally, the way he sat in the armchair, you have another Bandit on your hands. Welcome to the Farm Moose.

Moose, I cried this morning when first seeing your photo. Being half way round the world, I used my Alexa to guesstimate a calculated time frame of a video posting. Needless to say, I’ve been super excited to “meet” you! You’re going to realize awful quick that you’ve won the Doggy Lotto.

Maggie following and sniffing him, the look of horror on his face after his dip of death in the pool, his flying leaps, the joy he felt when he had his toy at the pool and his eyes when he saw Louie !!!! Boxer mom from Canada here. I still cry over Barney's traumatic passing. I am however very happy to see another beautiful boxer boy! I have a feeling Moose is going to be Bandit 2.0

We have 24 days until we move from Brunei back to Texas! I am ready to adopt my new Boxer Baby. It has been 1 year and 4 months since my Bosley Bear passed away. When we moved from Texas 8.5 years ago we left with 2 Boxer Rescues. Living vicariously through you until I get home. 💕 One of my Boxers was named Maximus… I would call him “Max- a- moose.”

Hope meets Moose, looks at him and says "He's the most beautiful Boxer I've ever seen." Maggie looks at him and says "Let's wrassle!!" Roscoe says "DANG!! You're real big!!" I really do love how attentive he is to Luke's teachings. Moose was distracted by the scenery, Luke told him to sit, and even though he was distracted still, he sat down.

If there is a doggy heaven, this is it.
Whenever I have lost a pupper, I do not have the attitude of some where I can't get another until I get over the loss. I see it as a new hole to fill and a new home for a needy doggo. Too many and I have room, you remember the ones who have gone, but like Moose you fill their space with another who needs a forever.
Exactly, we never 'get over' the loss of one or forget them but there are so many that need loving homes. Fill that home up I say. 💜

I loved how Roscoe was ready to engage Moose in a little ‘greet and meet’ play time when they first met. Those two might end up great mates. And Tilly looks great.
So fun to have the lure out today. The dogs lived it. Moose is impressive. Seems to adjust and learn very quickly. Even tugging toys with Freddo and Abra!! It's been a while since we've had this level of fun and excitement. Moose is re-energizing The Farm and bringing a new dog joyful atmosphere. Welcome Mr Moose and thank you.❤

I have it on good authority that Charlie has been in negotiations and collaboration with Bandit and Barnie about filling this slot! What a beautiful boy and honour to Deputy Barney. When we saw Moose‘s meeting with the gang, his pool jumps and antics, we were in love . He is such a smart boy, catches on very quickly and we do believe Roscoe and Freddo has met their match! When he plonked himself down on the chair in the evening , hubby and I thought the same thing: ladies and gentlemen, we present Moose „ Bandit“! His lordship has returned to the throne ! 😂😂😂.
As for the meeting with Louis… Moose‘s eyes were a story in itself like , What diz?? A few minutes ago I was the MAN, and now this??? We bet he was thinking: „better confer with them A -team hierarchy, Freddo Roscoe & Co, to discuss this little problem😅😂 we boys gotta stick together

Sherriff Roscoe was just explaining the rules of the farm to him😂 Rover and Miss Violet were like yeah new sibling to play with❤ Freddo welcoming him by playing tug with him. The flirt pole and pack runs was a blast for him and the evening snuggle with Dad! I think he loved his first day and cant wait to see all his adventures with the pack! Was that all his first day?! My goodness, what a braveheart- he just threw himself into everything with trust and friendliness, what a fantastic start to the rest of his life. He looks skinny, but I guess he'll settle and start to fill out and muscle up. What a beautiful, handsome, big-hearted boy. The only time he looked really worried was when Luke carried him into the pool the first time, and seeing Louie! Luke and he look like this is the beginning,( or several stages on?) to falling in love with each other. Welcome home Moose, welcome to the family x

My Yorkie was trained to hear "Leave it" and "Take it." I just got a little untrained, unsocialized, very timid but very sweet little rescue Biewer Terrier. She made me think of Hope when you first got her (mine also came from a back-yard breeder). We got her 2 months ago. No potty training. Doesn't even under stand the word "no." She is getting to know her new name and feels good with my husband, me, & 2 very sweet kitties In the process of getting her unafraid of grooming tools including a hairbrush. I'll be doing everything at home with mild sedation (trazadone) for a while. She's beautiful, but I need to get out some matting she has developed and get her nails trimmed (the only thing that might make her snap) above all. She has done okay with a bath and ear cleaning (under mild sedation). She actually enjoyed being blown with the dryer for a bit.
In another month or so (at the 3-month mark), she will be out and about a little more (she has only been out for her vet check-up a few weeks ago. It will take a while, but eventually, she will be playing and getting groomed and traveling similar to our late Yorkie (who was so well trained & socialized and easy to bring anywhere). Continuing to watch your videos brought me joy that was hard to find while I was grieving and they still do. It took me over a year to get another dog and I wanted a rescue. I have complex PTSD and I understand her and her fear of everything so well. I feel like the universe sent me the dog who needed me & vice versa. We're going to heal & grow together.

@@paula8088 Thanks. 🙂 We felt like she ended up right where she needs to be. We were told that she needs someplace quiet and with nearly constant company. We live in a coast redwood forest in the Bay Area and it is so peaceful. Also, one of of (usually both) is always home. It's working out well for all of us and by next month, we should have found a professional trainer to help with some of the most challenging aspects. Hard to believe that someone would have deprived this very beautiful little pup of so much of what she would need to have a "normal" house dog family life. It's more of a challenge for her to acquire those things now... learn how to play, be potty trained, walk on a leash, etc. She's the sweetest little girl... so easy to love and be patient with. ❤

He's beautiful, my female boxer passed away on 9-12-19 & i was devastated. It took me months to come to terms with Riley dying & I still miss her every day. I'm so glad I have found your channel & Moose has found his forever home. He will no doubt bring much love ❤️ & joy to your family & to your viewers.
