We are going to get arc epilogue on some different desert island where a mysterious silhouette leaves a lone doctor's office. The doctor yells after him "Sir, you forgot your royal cane!"
They couldn't have gotten away with that, especially after Morgan's showed what most people would assume was his dead body in the paper. What they probably did was cover up any wounds that would have been attributed to them and possibly create more burn wounds to attribute to Sabo. He wouldn't have looked good no matter what so it makes sense to have a closed "casket" funeral.

The drunk Rayleigh scene is so perfect because it makes so much sense, after his crazy journey as the right hand of the pirate king, finding out all th secrets of the world and why it is how it is, and then witnessing his captains execution, his legendary message and passing of the torch, the rest of the crew probably all made their own silent pact like “we will never go into detail about this” possibly Roger even told them before they disbanded not to speak of this and let the new gen figure it out and have as much fun as we did along the way. It was probably the most epic, crazy and nostalgic time of his life. Those memories all flooding back at once right now probably has him emotionally unable to handle it so he goes and gets absolutely hammered 😂 Checks out perfectly.
Imu has achieved everything Luffy's enemies dream of. Imu has turned kingdoms against the Ancient Kingdom, has actually taken the throne and possesses an ancient weapon, all of which Crocodile failed. Imu has become a God and is truly ruling from above, where Eneru failed. Imu has successfully hidden all information about the Void Century for 800 years, where Lucci failed to bring back the last person able to read poneglyphs. Imu has successfully been hiding in the shadows, manipulating everyone without even moving, where Moria failed.
Imu did all of this to make one simple request to Lili: hang out with him, smoke some weed, fill their bellies with diet soda, and play Burnout Revenge for the PS2.
I’m getting the vibe from the punctuation used in Akainu’s panel (exclamation points only, no question marks) that he actually wants Vegapunk to continue explaining because he needs to know.
100% agree with u.He wants to find out more about the past and the higher ups since from dressrosa knew that someone in a higher position than the gorosei exists
Vegapunk confirms Roger's crew knew all about the ancient weapons. Crocodile has access to one such crewmate. I fear Buggy will be gently questioned on this topic.
Indeed, Vegapunk seems to be going the route of Rodger and Whitebeard in making earth-shattering statements, revelations, and answers at the point when the full implications and consequences of revealing these things will not affect him.
@@jamesvach6698Nice disingenuous take there, James. The three of them made important statements for the world … Why you acting like they did something harmful? Clown.
Buggy dont know. Roger only discevered in the end of the journey but Buggy was not in the last island. And Shanks barely knows too, altrough he had a conversation with Roger. And Roger did not told Buggy and Shanks because like Rayleigh says, it would take all the fun.
After this chapter I’m starting to think the only reason vegapunk wanted everyone to use a visual snail was because he’s such a perfectionist that he could NOT apologize formally without bowing to everyone
At this point, all the old characters are surprised not because the information is new, but because Vegapunk is talking too much. Knowledge can also be used as a weapon. Giving all the information out is pushing things too much. Crocus was like "didn't know you were going to bring us into this."
"A lotta people were questioning 'What happened to the duck?'" Well, he got punched 1000 miles deep into a lava pit by a rubber man with a giant fist- Oh wait! you’re talking about Karoo…
I think it might've been like if you got somewhere but you didn't have the key to open the door when you got there, and opening that door was the only way to truly free the world.
Crocodile: Finally, the Superweapon Pluton is finally mine! Mr. 1:................. Now what? Crocodile: I don't know, I didn't think I'd get this far.
The difference between Vegapunk and Oppenheimer, though, is that Vegapunk wanted to create an energy source that got turned into a weapon, and Oppenheimer helped create a deadly weapon first, that got "tamed" into a civilian energy source.
Oda does that ALOT. Oh there’s a void century the government refuses to talk about or acknowledge kind of how the Japanese government doesn’t really acknowledge Japanese war crimes in WW2 in their textbooks
@@Ironcorgi2on the one hand I do wish the Japanese did not flinch at the contents of their history, on the other hand I’m glad they’re not like the Germans who have been in a perpetual state of self-hate over the sins of their ancestors and constantly demean themselves over it. You should be able to factually acknowledge the bad parts of your history while still feeling that your countries existence is a positive force in the world and being motivated to build, defend, preserve and improve it.
With all this talk about Stucy not having agency, I want her to adopt Bonnie. Like imagine if Edison tells Stucy to take care of her and Bonnie has a step-mom who is learning to be more of a person.
I have a theory that Imu could be Saint Imu ,but in Nefertari D Lili's body which he stole via Law's devil fruit and that's the reason why she never returned to Alabasta and her sword is missing in front of the " Empty throne".

Thats a good theory. Especially since oda keeps hiding imu alot. He usually does that when we know that character already or are a different gender than expected. Like how yamato was called kaidos son and she jad a mask to hide it, but later turned out to be a woman
Vegapunk: Roger, Raleigh you knew about this, why didn't you tell the world? Roger and Raleigh: Well you see ... what had happened was ... Vegapunk: Get out I'll figure it out myself.

I interpreted Rayleigh's words to be directed at the audience. He is setting that Vegapunk isn't going to tell us everything and we still get to discover the fun for ourselves
Maybe they laughed because “why would the planet flood? How hilarious joy boy!” But at the same time, Roger said they were too early. Too early…for the flood…so they all found ways to escape it. Roger was unliving, Rayleigh coats ships, crocus location…it all adds up now. The Roger pirates DID do something about it by letting the new age discover it themselves and find a solution
I don't know how much we can trust this small detail in this translation, but, based on the current translation, I am pretty sure Sakazuki is egging Vegapunk on, not asking if he intends to reveal all. He demands Vegapunk to explain everything in this broadcast so he can finally make up his mind. I think what we saw in this chapter was the start of his rebellion. Also, I am getting a feeling that Luffy might just find the snail before the Gorosei, and destroy it himself, because he doesn't want to be spoiled🤔
It's also how I interpreted the scene. I don't think anyone in the marines knows the real history. Akainu might not be a great guy, but he still does what he does because he believes it will keep the world safe, I don't see him ecstatic at the idea of billions of people die in a cataclismic event.
I think there was something Roger did. They were too early, but, recall that Roger whispered something to kid Shanks, something that caused Shanks to pause his own goals. And Shanks later went to find the Gun-Gum Fruit. Roger probably tasked him with finding the reincarnation of Joy Boy.

@@savagesavant6817 No, 9/11 didn’t cause pell’s revival. He doesn’t follow with deaths in present time story. He just erased his death cause he wanted too.
Vegapunk had a good reason for waiting though: as soon as he started, they’d kill him. He couldn’t learn more about this. He couldn’t invent more. He couldn’t work with the revolutionary army any more. Etc.
True, and he likely knew that there would be other consequences for spilling this information. Rodger told pirates about the One Piece and Whitebeard confirmed that it existed. Both were done at the moment of their deaths because they knew that they wouldn't have to worry about what would happen next. I am sure Vegapunk knows full well that his revelations are going to be earth-shattering and there is going to be chaos. At least by waiting until he is dead to reveal this, he doesn't have to live with more guilt especially since he seems to live with enough of it already.
@@jamesvach6698 Well that, but if he is as principled as he sounds like, he'd probably have to live with the guilt of keeping it form everyone. I think it's more that he'd be delaying telling everyone because there is more that he could do. After all, he didn't even have his theories confirmed until recently with the firing of the ancient weapon. If he blew the lid earlier, he wouldn't be able to reveal that. Let alone any inventions, or aid to the Revolutionary Army, that he could still give during that time. He might even be able to find a way to reveal it without dying. And now that I think about it, if he knew about Ohara, then he might not have done this if he didn't think the World Government might be ending the world anyway, because this definitely risked triggering it.
@@dragonturtle2703 Fair enough, just considering all the possibilities. Some people are reluctant to open Pandora's Box if they think that they will have to suffer the blowback from it.
@@jamesvach6698 Good point. And that is possible. Just sounds like, I wouldn't say moral, because it sounds like Vegapunk believes more in moral greys, but it sounds like he's principled enough that he'd take the blow back if he thought it was the right thing to do. So just a question of if the people had a right to know, or from a consequentialist perspective, if the harm was less than what would happen if he didn't.
@@dragonturtle2703 True, he does seem like he would take the blowback if necessary. You did state earlier that he didn't know if his theories were correct or not and that could have also played a part as you noted. He did say that if his prediction of the earthquakes and the sea levels was wrong that his audience could feel free to ignore the rest of what he was saying. It is possible that he was hoping to at least get confirmation before surprising and scaring the world with what could have been an entirely mistaken theory. Some part of him might well have been hoping that his theory was wrong when he recorded this. At the same time while he does operate in morally grey areas, he seems to withhold passing judgement to some degree in his announcements. He noted early on that he wouldn't presume to make moral judgements on whoever killed him to make this announcement happen. In this chapter and the last few ones, he also states that he cannot determine who was more morally correct in the war between the twenty kingdoms and the opposition with Joy Boy in it. Granted his knowledge is incomplete and to an extent war in general doesn't usually determine right and wrong by itself only who is alive and who is dead when it is over. Perhaps part of his morally grey mindset is because he is aware that while there are widely accepted views of good and evil, there is always going to be a degree of subjectivity between individuals and groups. Clearly the Five Elder Stars either do not think of themselves and Im as evil or do not care and for all intents and purposes they determine what is seen as good and evil in the world for the most part. Yet if you asked a good number of people in the One Piece world then I imagine their opinions of the Elder Stars and Im would be quite different. There is a reason that the world government has a graveyard of skeletons in their closet.
Roger's crew laughing might be less about the dark stuff that happened during the void century, and more perhaps WHY it happened. The war could of ended up being sparked by something so childish that despite how dark what happened is, it is just amusing what sparked it. Like what if the war itself was started because of a broken promise between two people or perhaps a very silly misunderstanding?

One thing that really got me thinking was the little chapter closing teaser "Those who knew the truth just laughed..." I originally though that whatever they had found on Laugh Tale was what made them laugh, but this implies that what they *learned* there is what they laughed at. They learned the truth, laughed, and told noone, and were apparently 20 years too early. This is so much information that I feel on the verge of a revelation, but just enough is held back to not quite get there.
I told you all along Vegapunk wasn't stupid enough to not believe in good and evil, and that he was just saying he didn't know who was what because he had limited information. No one listened to me though! VINDICATION! Uh-huh! Uh-huh! Uh-huh! Uh-huh! Uh-huh! (Emperor's New Groove reference)

30:20 I rather think Sakazuki knows a bit but not much at all yet because he's still new to the position. Still ambitious to change it to his own perspective. I feel like they'd slowly clue him in over time as he settles into his position and learns his actual place. I feel that, rather than being angry at Vegapunk, Sakazuki is actually interested and would demand to know even more so he can try and hold even the Gorosei accountable.
It's not Uranus, dude, Momonosuke was about to say something like "So, Pluton was stolen" and got interrupted. I kept telling people that the Ancient weapon used was Pluton and not Uranus, since Pluton was described as being able to one-shot an island and i doubt that 2 ancient weapons would have the exact same power. No one believed me, they all thought it was Uranus...
I’m interested to see how the world finding out about the lulusia kingdom being destroyed, will play into the story. I think this will greatly boost support for the Revolutionary Army, and will cause a large percentage of the population to distrust the marines/world government.
Minus all the corrupt island nation leaders. Fishman Island, Zou, Wano already don't trust the WG. Fusha village's mayor, Woopslap, and Water 7's Mayor, Iceburg, might not trust the WG. Maybe Dressrosa will start distrusting the WG more. Poor countries already can't ally with the WG, now they fear WG more. Overall, i don't see much change. WG already held all the cards, this is just an extra card.
What if what the Roger Pirates found out was that JoyBoy was evil. He laughed and said he wanted to live in JoyBoy era because Roger would have fought JoyBoy and tried to stop him. JoyBoy may have been Rocks/Teach ancestor and that's what made Roger laugh the fact that the WG which have been fighting them were the good guys. Just a thought.
So seems like York was the one who stole part of the "mother flame" and gave it to Imu/WG in which they used on Lulusia kingdom which was Uranus Congrats to those who guessed the final den den mushi was gonna be with the Ancient Robot Rayleigh out here getting drunk and getting pissed at Vega punk for dishing out spoilers lol Roger and Rayleigh knowing about the war and not doing about it is probably because Roger was already dying at that time and also say him and the Roger pirates were too early
I've been saying the den den mushi was in the iron giant since the Vegapunk stream started. Rayleigh hates spoilers confirmed xD Yet dude was willing to give the Strawhats spoilers til Luffy noped out of that chat. Yeah, Roger being on his deathbed probably had a lot to do with it. Especially considering Posiden is needed and it's not like as if he had enough time to wait for Shirohoshi to be born and grow up, thus too early. If he had time, I bet he would've done more.
It explains why at the beginning of egghead we met vegapunk stuck half way in the iron giant. He was putting the den den mushy there as the strawhats arrived and planned to leave with them.
With all the cigars Sakazuki's burned up, does he and Smoker use the same brand? And what if there's only one case left in a store, who gets the last case?
i think, your background may already be explaining what happened during void century. joyboy is first pirate from ancient kingdom, pirate is criminal so maybe he is opposing ancient kingdom policy, and there is blackbeard... if theory people who said BB is related on inherit rock d. xebec will, which is to rule the world, maybe BB/rock is inheriting the will of ancient kingdom king to rule the world. so there is a third party. 3 ancient weapons... endgame war is 3 way war?
Oda sure does know how to drop lore doesn't he? Edit : I'd love to see a vide on Tsuru, Kine'mon's wife. Her reunion with Kine'mon after the raid is my favourite panel out of all of the Wano arc. Thier love endured Kaido's cruelty.

Whether Cobra's body was destroyed or Imu's sadistic enough to keep as an art piece is irrelevant. What's important is that they reported him to have been murdered by Sabo, whom's known to have fire-powers since like 2 months ago (one-piece world time). Im glad I'm not the only one who loves ancient Egyptian history! But remember Raleigh said that he felt that ohara and the Roger pirates were too early or too much in a rush. So there's more to the void history that they know that we don't.
I was on board with there being multiple snails all around the world/islands so couldn't be stopped. Vegapunk must've had no time to set this up. Or the iron giant is so durable that it's the safest place in the world, even safer than having transponders on opposite ends of the world.
I dont think Kinemon was trying to say to not mention Pluton, I doubt he even knows about it, but rather, he was surprised by Mononosukes sudden outburst kinda like, "whats wrong my lord?" as for Mononosuke, I think his reaction was more like "PLUTON IS NEEDED!", cause we dont know why he decided not to release it, and that mostly has to do with what Oden knew that was destroyed from his journal that made Mononosuke think it wasnt necesary yet
As I assumed from the start Vegapunk is going to get cutoff as some point during this broadcast since York found the transponder snail. Will the last thing he reveals be the existence of Imu?!?!?
I wonder if Vegapunk had a failsafe for his brain to be killed too upon the moment of his death, imagining him being sort of half alive surviving only as a giant brain in a tank that is at the mercy of the World Government is a very creepy prospect. I also wonder who in the One Piece world, after Vegapunks announcement, would be the first to come out with Void Century T-shirts and other Void Century merchandise.
I think the Roger Pirates being too early probably has to do with Nika. If the Iron Giant is powered by the Drums of Liberation, then something at Laugh Tale probably requires the powers of The Sun God to activate or unlock.
I dont think Vegapunk is angry that the Roger crew didn't tell everyone, but he's actually more curious as to what kind of information caused them to not share it.
Can't wait for the Don Kreeg, Gin, Arlong, Urouge and Enel reactions to close out the worldwide reaction to Vega punk's message, with the Iron Giant vs the Gorosei as the Strawhats face the Seraphim and the rest of the VA's to finally escape Egghead island, Van Auger, Catarina Devon, and Caribou will go inform Blackbeard and their crew will head to Elbaf looking for the Strawhats only to find they went elsewhere leaving them to battle Shanks instead and defeat them, Crossguild will go to wano to pick up pluton since that was Crocodile's plan to begin with and he was literally shown side by side with Momo as Pluton was being mentioned

We are going to get arc epilogue on some different desert island where a mysterious silhouette leaves a lone doctor's office. The doctor yells after him "Sir, you forgot your royal cane!"
What if he's not dead and mangled? What if they made use of Cobra?
They couldn't have gotten away with that, especially after Morgan's showed what most people would assume was his dead body in the paper. What they probably did was cover up any wounds that would have been attributed to them and possibly create more burn wounds to attribute to Sabo.

Very interesting to see an Oppenheimer figure apologize in a Japanese-written story. Pretty sure that parallel's on purpose.
I’d say so, it was what I thought of immediately
The difference between Vegapunk and Oppenheimer, though, is that Vegapunk wanted to create an energy source that got turned into a weapon, and Oppenheimer helped create a deadly weapon first, that got "tamed" into a civilian energy source.
@CapriUni in retrospect, the Manhattan Project did a lot of great things in production as a side effect. So, the naiveté makes sense.

Maybe they laughed because “why would the planet flood? How hilarious joy boy!”
But at the same time, Roger said they were too early. Too early…for the flood…so they all found ways to escape it. Roger was unliving, Rayleigh coats ships, crocus location…it all adds up now.
The Roger pirates DID do something about it by letting the new age discover it themselves and find a solution
I think the story described something hilarious joy boy did to try and prevent the flood but ultimately failed and how joy boy would come again
@@Ironcorgi2gotta remember about zunechi and its punishment aswell. Whatever joy boy did not only failed, but also had to do with him and others.

I believe that Akainu isn’t mad for the reason you think he is, instead of his statement being him being surprised vegapunk is going to “tell everything” but instead he WASNT aware of what happened and is more so ordering vegapunk to “tel everything ”
Ppl are forgetting that the Poseidon wasn’t born yet which means that even if they tried to stop the world government, they would have been defeated. I think to stand chance against the world government you will probably need at least two ancient weapons

I thought for a moment, the package Otsuru was giving to Yamato was a devil fruit. I was afraid it was a SMILE and then remembered Yamato already has a devil fruit. I was going "no! Don't, you'll die".
Just like the SMILES, the laugh was their curse to bear for the burden of the world's truth...
Just like the nika fruit. Luffy saw vegapunk die but he is still laughing uncontrollably.
Im glad I'm not the only one who loves ancient Egyptian history! But remember Raleigh said that he felt that ohara and the Roger pirates were too early or too much in a rush. So there's more to the void history that they know that we don't.
My months spent calling the snail / iron giant reveal, finally paid off ❤
I was on board with there being multiple snails all around the world/islands so couldn't be stopped.
Vegapunk must've had no time to set this up. Or the iron giant is so durable that it's the safest place in the world, even safer than having transponders on opposite ends of the world.
I dont think Kinemon was trying to say to not mention Pluton, I doubt he even knows about it, but rather, he was surprised by Mononosukes sudden outburst
kinda like, "whats wrong my lord?"
as for Mononosuke, I think his reaction was more like "PLUTON IS NEEDED!", cause we dont know why he decided not to release it, and that mostly has to do with what Oden knew that was destroyed from his journal that made Mononosuke think it wasnt necesary yet
It's getting so good OMG the lore is going crazy I'm so for it OMG
So agree with you!
