Another amazing place🎉we will be doing all your recommended hikes 😊 just wondering where did u pick up the rental car n how doable was the self guided tour around the area? Thanks for sharing ❤
We picked it up from the town of Calama! It’s the nearest large city from San Pedro, you can check out some car rentals here: rentalcars.tp.st/eAafFA6D Everything you saw in the video was self guided and we found it VERY easy!
@@LaurenJason so lucky to have watched uTube videos :-) will follow u footsteps to Bolivia, do I join a tour to Uyuni after dropping the car off at Calama?
@@kathypeng292 you certainly can! You can check out this tour that a lot of people like to do going to Uyuni: www.getyourguide.com/san-pedro-de-atacama-l1862/tour-san-pedro-de-atacama-salar-de-uyuni-san-pedro-atacama-t669431/?partner_id=WTQXQZS&cmp=TH-cam_Atacama
Hi - could you have done the Piedras Rojas/Laganas Altiplanos and then the Laguno Chaxa. It seems like it is on the way back? Would it be hard to coordinate or just too much for 1 day ?
You can definitely do both! The only thing to consider is that Chaxa is the best in the mornings to see the flamingos and that might interfere with Piedras which is also best in the morning to avoid the crazy crowds that come shortly after opening times. You’ll have to decide which you’d like to do first based on which is more important to you. But yes 100% doable in 1 day!

How many days is ideal? Did u drop off the car at Calama?
@@kathypeng292 we personally think 3 days is enough and yes we dropped off in Calama after!

How long should I spend at moon valley? Very beautiful so I would like to take advantage of
We spent about 3 hours here! If you want to do all the hikes and take your time, I would budget for 4-5!
