- Meal plan below ⬇️ Weekly grocery haul for our family of 13 in NYC. We shop at Costco & Trader Joe's on Tuesday evening. (Our Costco is in Harlem and our Trader Joe's is on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.) We bring Chloe (10), Enoch (7), Melody (5), Moses (2) and Neta (7 months).
Here is our meal plan:
Wednesday: Pesto Pasta, Dinner: Quiche & Salad
Thursday: Charcuterie Board, Dinner: Lamb Kebabs, Pita Chips, Hummus, Greek Salad & Roasted Tomatoes
Friday: Pizza Bread, Dinner: BBQ Chicken, Green Beans & Tri-Color Rotini
Saturday: Croissant Sandwiches w/ ham & Swiss, chips, watermelon & juice Dinner: Burritos
Sunday: Pizza (take-out), Dinner: Nachos
Monday: Tuna Sandwiches, Dinner: Hamburgers
Tuesday: Beans on Toast, Dinner: Costco Food & Take out

I don't see how anyone can say Enoch is ignored ! My gosh, if anything, he's getting most of the shopping attention ! What a doll. He's got his own fan base ! It's so obvious all these cuties get plenty of attention and love ! Love the snuggles between Mom and Enoch !

I hope Enoch develops a healthy relationship with foods, not a fearful one. Education is good, but moderation & balance are equally important ❤
His mother’s CONSTANT harping about what is good and what isn’t (opinion only and not usually fact-based) has made this happen.
@@BeaxhBijoux1990yikes it’s obvious they have a great balance of healthy and not so healthy food. God forbid a mom cares about nutrition for her children.

Costco has grass fed pre made hamburger Pattie’s in the freezer section that are good. I watch another channel called Natural & Simple Living and they are also a homeschool family with 11 kids and she buys everything healthy and they buy them every week so I tried them and they are so much better. 😊

Just a thought! If they don't have fresh greens you can buy frozen spinach in the bag not box for your smoothies. Just toss a little bit in there and you are good to go.
Wonderful enthusiasm from Enoch on the charcuterie board! He's right- the gouda cheese is delicious. I was super enthusiastic that week a while back when Marc picked out brie, chevre, and comte. Unfortunately, I'm not following your good example today & have no idea what we're having for dinner...

Stop parking in front of fire hydrants! You had to have seen it. Was it intentional, as it appears?You aren't supposed to park within 15 feet of a hydrant! I'm sure you wouldn't like it if your home was on fire, and someone parked in front of the hydrant nearest your home, and it took firefighters extra time to get water into their hoselines. Take care of your beautiful family.

Enoch is such a sweet little boy. He tells it like it is. He says "we have one good meal a week the others r okay"!!! He's telling u about the food and meals. Might be time to change things up. They do kind of eat the same meals over and over.

We eat the same meals over and over. We just get set on certain meals and its just easy to repeat plus the price of food now, you have to pick good easy simple meals that still is affordable. We use to have boneless beef roast quite often, but now it's once in a blue moon. To be able to enjoy a big chunk of roast cup up it would cost 30.00 to 35.00. So when I'm craving roast we just kinda shred it up instead of getting chunks of roast. That Will cost around 15.00. I will use the left over broth from where I made the roast and make some good ole vegetable soup with that rich delicious broth. When you do that, the price doesn't seem so bad and then it's costing less than 5.00 a meal if I get at least 2 meals out of the soup and 1 from the meat the first night. It's crazy we have to justify and break it down that way. You do what you have to do and still eat what you are craving every once in a while.
That big sign at Costco there seems there’s an aldis there ? They have great produce Greens etc there plus a lot of clean ingredients otherwise .Have you ever gone there?
Yes it doesn’t have much in the evening though, but I’d love to try it earlier.
@@TheHappyCaravan Doesn't Mark work from home? Have the older siblings watch the little ones and run over there in the afternoon. If you leave some kids home you will save big bucks. That would be a good cost comparison video~shopping with kids vs. shopping without. Plus more kisses under the awnings!
@maggie2sticks717 Marc works from home 2 or 3 days a week. The kids enjoy going shopping for fun.

Costco has great uncured ham . They also have sliced cheese. It would be much cheaoer at Costco than at Lincoln Market. Maybe you just forgot to buy it at Costco? ❤

Going to the food court to get twelve Hot Dogs for the crue $435.86 did you miss any items that's low. No snacks. WOW no Spinach. I guess the early bird catches the worm. I used to work for the company that made the Trader Joe’s snickerdoodle cookies ( Enjoy Life Foods ), sadly, they shut down & last July 3rd was my last day there!! I can’t believe it’s been a year already!

Can’t Mark have his own hot dog? They’re like $1.50… He didn’t even take his own free sample from TJ… And the other day he was drooling over Enoch’s pistachio croissant. Let the man eat! 😂

He is trying to lower his sugar intake and lower cholesterol if I’m not mistaken. He’s been on a health kick these past few months.
He does get his own, the kids just usually waste theirs so he knows they can share.

We make different meals but yes the ingredients are often similar👍🏼
Unfortunately, in large families, not all children receive equal attention, and the older children constantly have to take care of the younger ones and do not have their own carefree childhood. I feel sorry for Melody because she is often sad and quiet.
I was an only child and was the loneliest soul ever so every situation has its benefits and drawbacks.

How do you keep your croissants nice if you buy them in tuesday and eat them on Saturday? If i would do that, they would not be eatable (i do reheat the day after, but another day later i throw them away if not finishing). But maybe they are different in the us then in the Netherlands (of france for that matter)
We put them in the freezer. Yes they would get too stale otherwise!

If you experience brest in large in children or men don't eat chickpeas anything. Having doctors who knows food what you do to eat matter's to not be so good even if you think it's good. I had to stop eating foods I liked wish I knew more like eating Okra in pasta tomato dishes. So be kind to your health and be kind to others will live a better life.

i cringed when i saw how little you got for over $400.00 at costco...i bought basically same at krogers today (7-11-2024) minus diapers and wipes and fruits and spent $120.00!!

I did not recognize Friend without his beard either.!! I am not a fan of those Buns. They are all air and squishy. You guys got a lot of stuff for 200. At Trader Joe's. I buy Barillo Pasta too, not GMO.
