I will never forget the night I saw a Maclaren F1 on the regents st site in 94 with an engine by the side of it thinking I had seen best that I could see. It saddens me that I will probably never see this and think the same when I should do. Every credit Gordon you chose the perfect time.👍🏻
@@christianb1707 And efficiency too, since it would be so precise in the valves actuation which would allow higher compression ratios and higher rpms, making more power with less fuel!
@@leomux2004 Heck yeah. Another improvement to the car: Graphene-enhanced carbon fiber, which is about 20% lighter than normal carbon fiber. although I get why he didn’t use it, as it is quite expensive so far.
While I'm sure there are good reasons, it does make you wonder why it's taken Gordon so long between designing the iconic ultimate road car; the F1; to now having these two new cars ready to go?
The front of the Duckhams LM car has been "squared off". The original was more rounded. Or so I thought from an in-period photo I have of the first car. Is this a deliberate alteration for some reason?
Next year will mark Senna’s 30 anniversary. I will be going to Imola for the 1st of May gathering. Please Gordon, come to the event. You designed the legendary mp4/4 for Ayrton’s first championship. It will be nice to meet with a legend like yourself. 🙏🏼
There is one mistake made by virtually every supercar designer: building a carbon or kevlar passenger tub. They're costly and heavy because they use massive layers of composites and later become pointless. A car being used up to about 160 mph needs, at minimum, a roll bar. Anything over that requires a roll cage to prevent occupants from suffering life-changing injuries. Every supercar needs a full roll cage, skip the carbon tub and attach rear/front subframes to the cage. Now that the car is reasonably safe, the self-supporting carbon tub is pointless. With a cage, the tub could be a skin with just two plies. It could even be made from s-glass instead of carbon. If local laws allowed, would you build and sell a 220mph supercar with a single circuit brake system? No, that would be dangerous. For those customers doing 175 on the autobahn, omitting a roll cage is FAR more dangerous than a single circuit brake.
I know gordon does not care about 1/4 mile time But motormatchup on youtube made a simulation (and they are accurate) of the 1/4 mile T50 prepped surface about 8.5 seconds Could you please just do a 1/4mile run secretly and only publish the results if you are satisfied?? Anything around 9 seconds for a 600hp car is insane
Can't express how much I appreciate all of GMA's videos. Really makes us feel like we're part of the exciting journey.
Nailed it!!!
Agreed! It's been a special ride to follow
1:33 Thank you for letting the cars sing loud with the music turned down here. Gordon's cars are so beautiful!
Seeing all the T50s lined up in the paddock is epic, I hope that I'll get to see at least one of these in-person eventually!
Yeah, I hope it too ❣️👌🏼😅
What a beautiful sound that motor makes 🎶🎶🎶
F1ne indeed

T50 easily one of the best car of all time!
Absolutely perfection. I don't think there is room for improvement in this car.

There's just one thing I would improve in this engine, it would be installing the Freevalve system on it, aside that is a absolute perfect car!❤
@@leomux2004 I agree! still analog/naturally aspirated, but could have a 45% increase in power.

Thank you, Gordon
Thank you Mrs Francitti ! I hope her hearing is ok now #LoudAs
Beautiful video. Music was emotional.
That Cosworth V12 sounds so good I literally almost cried
much love from Kansas, USA!
Beautiful
Thank you GMA!! can't wait to start see T.50s Niki Lauda development!
1:46 Is that Riccardo Patrese? Sure looks like him.
I thought that too
Let’s please get Catchpole in a T.50 soon!
Read my mind.
This, yes please
Sorry Dario, I didn't have as much fun as you had, because you got to drive the T50 and I didn't.
I hope I get to drive one of these some day
My sincerely huge RESPECT AND LOVE TO YOU MR GORDON!!! thanks for a much wonderful hypercar from 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Stunning!! 🍻
Amazing
From a distance I can't even tell the difference betwee an F1 and a T.50. That makes me happy.

That last downshift was 🤌
The T.50, both a beauty and a beast
What Great content from GMA!!
I really must add one of these to my collection…
And me…when does it get released by Matchbox?
You really should add at least one if not all of the GMA cars. Only a lowly peasant would do otherwise.
I'm happy that people like gordan murray exist. He is responsible for some of the most mesmerizing cars ever built!

What a sound…
My only complaint is Im hoping all GMA videos are 15+ minutes. Regardless of the content. Stuff you guys might think is boring is interesting to us.
That exhaust sound should be available on the NHS :-)
Marvellous!
Mr Gorden Murray, I would love to visit and have a ride in your T:50 love and Prayers from Langley BC Canada 🇨🇦
same here though I am from 🇺🇸
You had all the fun
The pinnacle of engineering.
funny cameo from henry being henry, star stricken car geek as he always is.
Gordon is off the scale !
One day!
🏁💙🏁💙🏁💙
I'd love to see a retired F1 driver taking one of these new cars around a track. The likes of Jenson Button, Damon Hill and Johnny Herbert.
i think that the t.50 should be manufactured only in black color as the f40 in red ,lot of reasons why .
aT last, a real, working Batmobile.
Come on Lotto numbers!

post-rock fan at GMA? lol
Gordon was listening to Spiderland when designing the F1..
@@rickg8015 Really? Is this true?

You should have seen the smile on my face after seeing him😅
@Underground Racing Hennesseys yeah it suck but now he does reviews for hagerty and its been good so far if not better! 👍
Hope Henry Catchpole gets to drive one

Why are there Ukraine flags at GFOS??
It’s members meeting, not festival of speed.
@@alrightsally2748 Appreciate the correction, but I still don't like seeing an agenda pushed at a Motor Sport event.

Nice to see the Ukraine flag flying high, world will remember the important role the UK played this time in history. The car looks good too.
uk as always playing an important role is a fantastic addition to taking back its traditional role
geezuz the exhaust note of those cars is annoying as hell.
I’m so grateful that I met Gordon Murray at goodwood thank you to him and all the staff for making my dream come true 🥹
