The fact that the game crashes on you this often is the biggest reason I know I'm not pushing it hard enough.
It’s MUCH better now, and no longer needs to start a new executable every time the game restarts. Honestly in the last couple of months, it hasn’t once crashed on me. I have seen a few streamers crash a couple of times on much longer runs, but I’m really happy with how it performs lately!
I started playing in November and I've had one crash so far. The auto-recovery sort of worked -- it got me back in the game, but quite a few things were out of sync, including items I picked up still being in the level (such as a Levitatium potion), and some of the destruction I did reverted to non-destroyed, and other things were wrong and weird. But overall, the recovery was a lot better than losing the game altogether.
I laughed, I cried, I yelled, I died.

Damn, 1:46 was crazy! I think you met Rambo. Dude leaps down from offscreen, the instant he lands on the wand holder he grabs the wand and casts it, dropping a proximity mine in your face then hops behind the wand holder to take cover from the explosion a moment later. Brilliant.
I had to rewind about 10 times to even figure out where the proximity crystal was coming from, lol. I thought you cast it on yourself the first few times through. Noita is amazing.

I died to a visual effect from having an electric spell in a wand, and it electrified the water I was in even tho I didn't even cast it.

I made a solemn oath to myself one day: I shall never equip any spells for which I do not have immunity, unless no other options are available. Exceptions are granted for my high-damage/low-fire-rate wand early on in a run; spells like bomb or magic missile can be used in circumstances where an enemy with high health needs to be dispatched quickly, or some gold digging.
I have a hard time getting upset when I die in this game, the deaths are just to spectacular.

As a fellow Noita player, it's amazing how relatable all of these experiences are.
I felt that death while wand testing.... happened to me yesterday..... frozen vapour canister always cast on a wand , wanted to see if I could warp cast it , forgot always cast comes first , also forgot I had electricty perk... Got Noita'd.
I love at 1:04, where a _fucking massive_ explosion just pokes in from offscreen, and than a stray boulder from the rubble just comically comes down and immediately crushes him the moment he floats into it.
I honestly can't tell if he caused it or not but it's just funny to me.
i once died to a heikkohurtta who was covered in like 1% aombrogia and i couldn't damage it, it somehow stuck me to a wall, jumped on me and started chipping a away with its melee, i used a bomb and died and the damned puddle was still alive

Yeah, I never use Giga Disc Projectiles, unless I can Long Distance Cast them through a wall or something. Normally I just steer clear. That was mega-super-giga-discs spell!
Thank you to the guy who mentioned cubital tunnel syndrome! I fell asleap at my computer years ago and woke up with a dead arm. I've had CTS ever since, never knew what it was called.

that first 10 seconds is what it used to feel like when you'd misplaced a { or 0.decimal and end up compiling with a bad divisor into a Stack Overflow memory fault BSoD that also gave you Registry boot-up warnings even after you did a full reboot

Just discovered your videos and started playing Noita and this video has basically been my entire 6hr experience so far my max distance down is 148m or so 😂 Try a new wand, die, learn from it, rinse and repeat. My frustration levels usually idles at 70mph but I've never laughed at dying so much in a game

Hey Queeb, do you actually save runs to reload? or do you just throw out a run if you die, I know there's a lot of seeds and constructed runs that people do to learn and explore before dry ones
